Also, I was under the impression that 5700 covered the complex, too, but it looks like there's at least a 5701 according to Sal's further reports... closer (barely-- 99% asleep right now) inspection seems to indicate each number contains a two-plex? Maybe?

We'll need to check the phrasing of the reports, too-- (not the archive list, which can have its own issues) but did they say specifically 5700 Scruggs Way, or the 5700 block of Scruggs Way.

Although so much about this case has been phrased so haphazardly (from MSM, not WS) that I'm starting to feel like it doesn't even matter any more.

Apartment buildings have the same address with the apt # added. I don't see what is so confusing about that to you. Maybe 5701 is a condo..but 5700 Skruggs is is an apartment complex. So that call could have been for any unit or maybe just outside. Don't see what's so confusing about that?

And yes, the Plano Police Department has dropped the ball on this case. If I was family, I'd definitely get a lawyer involved and take the matter to court if it was possible. Also, I'd invest in a very good P.I. because PPD seems to suck.

Plano, Texas police have asked the public's help in searching for a Fort Worth woman who vanished after walking into a parking garage with a friend near a shopping mall on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014.

Christina Marie Morris, 23, who was visiting friends in Plano, was last seen near The Shops At Legacy and walking with a friend into the parking garage at 5717 Legacy Drive early Saturday morning. She and her friend parked on opposite sides of the garage and walked separate ways shortly after entering the garage.

Plano police have released the surveillance video of the two walking into the parking garage just before 4 a.m. See video

"The guy (in the video) is a friend of hers from high school. They had been at a friend's apartment hanging out and walked back together," Plano police spokesman David Tilley told reporters.

Never mind. I'm wrong again, but I seriously doubt a missing persons report on the 2nd was none other than CM.

I believe that just wish we knew more about the call from the morn she went missing.

I'm giving up on this case. Too many shady characters involved, too many cover ups, and drug use. If this was a little angle as she's portrayed to be, PPD would be all over it, but she's not and her friends are pretty bad, too.

Massive revision here... thanks to my old nemesis the Collin Cad... So, several buildings in the complex, each owned by United Dominion Realty, but our friends at 5700 have a DBA name of Legacy Village Iv, Building E whereas 5701 has a DBA of Legacy Village Apts Phase Ii.

However, we may still need to check into the phrasing from LE-- was it directly 5700, or was it "the 5700 block of Scruggs Way"?

It took me so long to edit my post that the thread grew by a page... figured I should put it back out there...

Thanks, on the crime reports they never put an exact address just the block, but in the 911 call archive you usually get an exact address. Which works for homes but not apts. When I cross reference to try to find more info on crime report on my block it does help narrow it down to my complex which is helful. I'm not sure if they ever list apt numbers, but I haven't seen them do it for calls from my complex.

Although she was last seen around 4 a.m. Aug. 30, it took a couple of days for friends and family members to realize that she wasn't returning anyone's calls and no one had been in contact with her. Consequently, her parents did not file a missing persons report on Morris until Tuesday, September 2.

Police quickly located Morris' vehicle still in the parking garage...

Agreed, and frustrating as heck when you're trying to serve a subpoena on a snake, trust me. But then there's the omission factor at play, too. It appears that people on my street don't make it into the reports and archives, even when up to 4 SUVs respond to a single call... very mysterious.

I've been holding out on PPD, waiting for something big but it sure it taking longer than I hoped or expected. Call in for reinforcements! Put some serious pressure on her "friends." Something needs to give, someone has to break. Please!
