I also believe it's important to try and be positive soon something shall surface because the negative energy towards the family can or probably isn't going to help us find her. She needs positive vibes, and I encourage family , friends, web sleuth posters, LE teams to be more proactive and search for her if you really want her found instead of sitting and playing the guessing or theories game... I know she will be found. My prayers are its alive

I live in a one-horse town and I think if this had happened in a one-horse town everyone would know what went down by 38 days. Somebody's dog gets shot and believe me the whole town knows whodunit by 24 hours. The whole case is odd and I can't put my finger on it. I think if they are all witnesses and/or participants in what happened and they are covering for each other. Bust'em up. Split'em up. If this was a joke, it's waaayyyy past time for the joke to be over. Nobody is laughing and something smells in Denmark.

Very odd case. There's something bigger going on. Perhaps with many people involved in a way. Perhaps scared too?

People talk. Rumors usually contain truth. Eventually someone will fold.

IMO the phone description is VERY important. I am a hunter, hiker, and a rockhound. I'm always looking down for tracks and rocks. In the fields and woods around here this time of year a green phone does not really stand out from the foliage however; a shiny blue phone or a white one would.

Agreed. Two days of searching for the wrong color phone was frustrating. I don't blame the family because stuff happens, but still, big deal. It wouldn't have come out had we not pressed the issue either.

The whole phone thing (like the clothes) really bugs me. A solid description of what she looked like and her possession that night is important.

Yet anyone who saw her couldn't remember?
Ya right ....

  • #366
Already have been. I'm covered in poison ivy...lol. But I have not joined the organized searches.

Good for you. Don't stop. And remember to report your findings and locations to the right people. And the less people who know where you searched the better.

Is the family conducting searches as in actual going out into fields and such or are they leaving that up to the public. I wasn't sure if they were and I know we don't want to talk about what areas are or are not bring searched, but I just wondered. There were a lot of searches and then TES came in and then used the drones those few days before they left. But after TES left have organized searches tapered off or is the family still searching? Does anyone know?

Searches are still continuing. My understanding is, TES used the drone only a short bit. Having spoken to some of the searchers, TES leaving put everyone in disarray. Some were irritated by how they led the charge. Others felt hopeless once they left. Seems things went stagnant for a while after they left. I can't judge either way, as I wasn't there in the beginning, but not everyone seemed happy with their methods. Maybe most simply hoped they would find her. Or not leave until they did. TES methods are different than the methods currently underway. IMO.

The searches are full bore again tho, which is a good thing.

I think THAT quote is one of the primary inputs on why people on this board (at least me!) feel like the friends have been less than totally open and know something that is not being spoken. It was way too early to make a past tense statement like that unless something was KNOWN. That statement was made on the first day or two of the disappearance.

BTW, if this needs to be snipped, please do. I'll throw in 'in my opinion' if that helps :)

Even family and friends don't refer to her in past tense NOW, over a month later.

4 days? Not a word a call a text? After a night of over 15 calls?
Sorry something off jmo

I hope this doesn't count as sleuthing the BF, I don't want to break any rules but I don't think we have the whole picture. I haven't read anywhere (might have missed it) whether we know if HF replied to any of her texts after her phone went dead. If he was texting her saying "don't come back, I need some time to cool off, space to think about the relationship, don't contact me" etc then the fact that she didn't reply wouldn't have been a red flag for him. As far as he was concerned she was doing what he'd asked her to do.

That's the only reason I can think of that he didn't think it odd that she didn't come home. JMO

They, did, mention in several articles that the calls/texts were unanswered. However, as with every other aspect that we have gone back to re-hash and re-read, the artciles have been edited. The only one I found was this one:

“Both phone calls made as well as text messages made. Not even certain if any of those are answered,” said Christina’s mother, Jonni McElroy.

Also, it comes up in a google search, but, not in the article itself.

Did we ever find out why the TES search was focused on those fields and woods? It's ok if they did it out of gut instinct, I think that what is not sitting right with me is the lack of information on where to focus my efforts. I am assuming that either a credible tip or gut instinct told them to search there but I can find nothing to confirm this.

Thanks MOFB, I would read that to mean that at the time CM made the calls or texts that they weren't answered although that's actually not the word I would have used for a text. IMO most people would say that a text hadn't been read if they were trying to make the point that HF hasn't got the messages.

As with lots of other features of this case we find ourselves lost in semantics and perhaps reading too much into what obviously distressed people said when maybe they didn't have the full facts IMO

IMHO alot of info is kept out of the media and public eye. Maybe to protect the investigation or witnesses. I hope, when the time is right, we will know why.

This is MSM report ...that the man in the video released to the public is a CLOSE MALE FRIEND ... and also to remind everyone that at the time before she vanished ...she worked(her job) as a salesperson and photographer for a DATING SERVICE.

Perhaps IMHO this vanishing could be directly or indirectly related to the type of work she was doing???? I mean after all we have heard of things occurring with many people that arrange meetings thru other similar types (or online) of dating groups.

http://starlocalmedia.com/planocour...cle_5978a7b6-3479-11e4-a198-001a4bcf887a.html

A surveillance video released Friday morning from the parking garage where Morris was last seen

showed her walking with a close male friend to their respective cars on the first floor. Officer

David Tilley, Plano PD spokesman, emphasized that his department does not believe the man in the

video is responsible for her disappearance.

"The young man that is in that video with her has been questioned repeatedly and has been very

cooperative and we have nothing that indicates he is a suspect or even a person of interest in this

case," Tilley said.

Thursday’s search covered fields on the east and west sides of Dallas North Tollway, and Tilley

said his department is confident that general area has been cleared very thoroughly.

Led by Sgt. John Britton of the Plano Police Department, volunteers were divided into three groups

to canvas different areas near where Morris vanished. One area of concentration was a large field

near Legacy Drive and Parkwood Boulevard by an office building.

Britton said volunteers were encouraged to focus on “anywhere where someone could pull off the

road.” Specific items Plano PD is looking for include the clothing Morris was last seen wearing: a

light, peach-colored shirt; multicolored skirt; black or dark-colored fedora; black backpack-type

purse; gold rings; an iPhone with a light green case; and a Canon camera.

“She’s gone off the radar before, but every time she’s … at least contacted me, my mom or my

dad,” said Jake Morris, Christina’s younger brother...........

Christina is a salesperson and company photographer at Great Expectations, a Fort Worth

professional dating service

From your link, Texas:

BBM

I remember the mom saying it was "someone she went to high school with" and that "they don't know him/have never met him". So, he was a close friend...yet the family didn't know him?

Just to be clear on a few facts (coming from a FTWorth LOCAL)that have been discussed much here in 38 days and 9 threads later
A. She lived and worked in Fort Worth at the time of her vanishing
B. It is not a quick commute from Central Fort Worth to Plano at anytime of the 24 hr clock
C. If any mapping service says it is 50min add at least another 20-40 min on that time due to heavy road construction and speed zone changes
and the 40 min time bump during heavy back up commuting times especially for construction vehicles, fender benders, stalled cars and the like
D. Fact .. 2 were shown walking /approaching the parking garage interior .. Only 1 of the 2 is verified by ppd as of now to have come out.

Definitely conflicting.
I tried to locate the article where JM said that they had never met him, yet, that tidbit seems to have gone POOF, as well. :gaah:

This case reminds me mostly of Katelyn Markham. She went missing as of midnight, her boyfriend was elsewhere but had been the last to see her and last person on her phone. LE said they had no idea if a crime had been committed until her remains were found about 18 months later, over a state border about 25 miles away. No one has been arrested as yet, another 18 months or so later. She too left her dog behind. TES went there too (Ohio) and did a similar search, mostly a radius out from her apartment, last place she was known to be, and left, saying they would return if evidence or tips warranted it.

LE can only do so much. They need something to go on. They interviewed the BF in Katelyn's case many time, lots of other people, thought they had a hinky neighbor but he was later ruled out. But they always said they did not know if a crime took place and I guess it was mostly true. Much like Hailey Dunn as well. Lots of people thought an arrest would come as soon as a body was found, but it hasn't happened, again maybe 18 months ago or longer since she was found. Cause of death may not have been available due to length of time, but but were clearly murdered by how they were found.

Not all of these cases come to a conclusion.

Nope I have it :fence:

I sat down with Jonnie McElroy, Christina’s mother desperate for answers on Wednesday, September 17. Two whole weeks after her daughter went missing. “I am in mission mode, I am going to find my daughter.” her mother stated. “It’s frustrating as a mother to not be given details about my own child’s whereabouts, we need awareness, we need help.” she goes on to say.
What We Do Know:
-Christina was with 4-5 of her friends the night of the disappearance. They all parked close to each other but Christina rode with them after leaving the bar to get something to eat before returning to her girlfriend’s apartment in the Shops.
-None of the articles of clothing she was wearing, cell phone and wallet have been located.
-Christina went to high school with the gentleman that was last seen with her. Jonnie tells me that she knows all of Christina’s friends but never met this particular gentleman.
