Man convicted of aggravated sexual assault at large, Travis County DA's Office says

Officials say there is an active warrant out for Hai Vo's arrest after he failed to appear for the punishment phase of his trial on Friday, March 29.

The Travis County District Attorney's Office said on Thursday, March 28, a jury convicted 56-year-old Hai Vo of aggravated sexual assault. However, on Friday, March 29, Vo did not appear for the punishment phase of his trial. Now, there's an active warrant out for his arrest.

imho the dollar co$t of the search and the emotional costs to the victim & loved ones and the at-risk public far exceeds the co$t of one night in jail.
