What are Nest Cams?

I have surveillance on the outside of my house but not in it. I wouldn't know the first thing about how to go back and look at something. If I remember right, they have the wrong time on them. My grandson set them up for me. If the police wanted something out of them, they have to take the whole DVR.

Pretty much the easiest camera to set up! Which is what I need! https://nest.com/cameras/nest-cam-outdoor/overview/

I have a question: Is Crystal bi-polar or anything like that? The reason I ask is, was just reading a story about a woman who was in a car accident and then disappeared for 17 days. Three ranchers found her in a field. She wanted water and food but wanted them to go away and leave her alone. Turns out she is bi-polar and some religious person convinced her God would cure her and told her to get off all her medications, so she did. Not judging, just trying to come up with explanations as to why she could be missing and it not be foul play.

I'm really not sure. I don't think anyone in her family has mentioned that, but I questioned yesterday if she might have been depressed or have some other sort of mental health issue. These people are so stuck on appearances though... would her family even have known if she was?

Can LE get a warrant for someone's medical records?

I wonder what Crystal meant by the ex taking advantage of her. I imagine she means financially? It seems like she's made very good money at the jobs she's had, enough to buy a Mercedes and pay for the whole family to go on a cruise anyways.

We kinda know where the ex works. Well I've seen initials but not the actual business name or his job. I assume it's not prestigious or high-paying? Some people are still of the mindset that the man should be the breadwinner too.

I also notice in the texts to the friend that she still refers to her ex as 'my husband'. Not extremely unusual when you had been married a long time. But, interesting to call him that when she's gushing about a new relationship.

I'm watching the Ashley Banfield show now (I DVR'd it) and she is interviewing yet ANOTHER male friend of Crystal. This friend (TK) last heard from Crystal on Thursday before she disappeared when she texted him to wished him a happy birthday, calling him handsome and tell him she loved him. She also had previously told TK how happy she was with her new boyfriend. Maybe this is just, me but does anyone else think it's strange how many very close male friends she had that she talked to about very personal affairs? She didn't tell her ex-husband about her boyfriend (according to texts with the other male friend) but she told these two other guys all about the boyfriend. This is not meant to be a derogatory in anyway, I'm just trying to understand her personality and the people around her that are speaking. Was she telling these other men about the boyfriend to try to let them down easily or was she someone who usually had closer relationships with men than women? Are these male friends just seeking their 15 minutes or what? Where are all her female friends and coworkers? (Please don't throw things at me, lol :tomato:)

I kind of agree. I probably have more male friends than female, but mostly acquaintances. That's mainly due to interests, hobbies, etc. While I would say I am 'girly' I'm also outdoorsy and like things like gaming. My female friends aren't big gamers.

So, I wouldn't say having more male friends necessarily means anything.

That being said, I don't tell my male friends they're handsome and things like that. I don't flirt with them; they're strictly friends. That would be true even if I didn't have a boyfriend.

I'm not criticizing her for flirting, some people just do. But, it's possible that a male friend could read more into that.

Also, I definitely don't discuss my love life with my male friends, but that's me. Everyone is different.

I get the feeling the family is holding a lot back. They do seem to be very private people, to the extent that people didn't even know they were divorced.

They do Crystal a disservice if that's the case because this information would really be important to figuring out what could have happened to her. Ya know?

Cruises are not all that expensive neither is a mercedes.
I am under the impressioon she has money. And not from working.

Anyone know how her parents died?

Can they tell what time the last ping was? Per the sheriff, the ping has a 3 mile radius - that area includes the jewelry store and Walmart.

This has a Tara Grinstead vibe to it....I became familiar with her case by the Vanished podcast.

Anyways, she had a long-term ex who was in law enforcement and he was easy to point fingers at as far as suspects go...then the circumstances of her disappearance were so vague along with a very narrow timeframe from the last time she was seen to when her fate was sealed.
The whole story was mind boggling and just when you thought you had a good sense of what may have happened, poof- some unknown suspects appear 10+ years later!!
The case hasn't been closed on Tara yet, I believe the trial starts this year? I haven't listened to any updates on it to know for sure.
I'm only bringing it up because Tara was a former beauty pageant contestant and had a rather robust love life that left her particularly vulnerable to trusting the wrong person or persons...

I think the family (uncle) has a lot more info and knows what happened and is in recovery mode. No need to release more.

In regard to when the boyfriend got to work and why he would get there so early, we have to keep in mind he isn't a jewelry sales person. I don't believe he is the owner either. But he seemed to be the one who worked closely with their Belgium location (where he was allegedly taking Crystal next month), so perhaps he was in early that day doing work with them or getting stuff wrapped up before the approaching hurricane.

Also just because he posted it early in the morning doesn't mean he was there at that time. He could have posted that from anywhere. How do we know he posted it himself, instead of another employee? But it does say to come at 10, so we really have no way to know if he was there early or not.

He is a jewelry store person and he
is the manager of the store.

Divorce was relatively new so depends if she changed everything over to kids from ex I'm sure.

I am still reeling from the each chose a kid thing. I can't wrap my head around it.

After this story, I have decided that if a man has that many cameras in his home - RUN. It just creeps me out to know that someone can go back and watch me...moo

They also showed him on Ashleigh Banfield in a still from the jewelry unlocking the door to get in.

I don't think she left on her own. But, just to play devil's advocate, let's say she did leave to clear her head. If she left voluntarily, she might now be afraid to come forward since it's blown up into a national story, with police and search parties, as well as maybe the FBI being involved. Not to mention her private life having been dragged out to the public.

Something like that could cause more stress and encourage her to lay low and not have to deal with things.

It happened recently with the girl who went missing voluntarily from the Raleigh airport Starbucks.

While it's possible, there's too many weird things in this case to make me think she left of her own accord.

Wait, sorry for the off topic, but I thought the girl who went missing from the Raleigh airport Starbucks was found dead in her vehicle in a parking garage?

Not this one, I followed the case on here and she was found in her car, alive, in a parking garage. Not sure why she left her shift abruptly but she was found safe and sound.

Question about real estate. It's been said that she is newish and might not be making much money. Looking at her RE Facebook, I see her congratulating 9 of her clients for buying their homes in August alone.

So, what is the average for sales per month for a real estate agent. Nine sales in less than a month seems very successful to me. But, I'm certainly no expert.
