The Dallas Media (myfoxdfw is Dallas/Fort Worth, btw) has been mostly silent on this case today. Makes me think the DPD has been tight-lipped on the investigation.

OTOH, we've had massive storms, flooding, power outages etc over the last 24 hours so that's taken precedence in the news. I wish I could have watched the NG coverage. I don't have cable anymore. That's the one thing I miss about it!

I just checked local Dallas/Ft. Worth news and see no updates this evening. Is anyone else?

It was reported on the 6pm channel 8 wfaa news,,, the parents and relatives are conducting their own searches. They were in the parking lot of the Oak Run Apts. No one made comments on camera.

Since the mother is only 19 (is that right?), she may not have too many details available (as far as criminal type things are concerned)?

I pray they find Daisja, healthy and safe. (I wish I wasn't suspicious of the mom.)

When I saw the mom on NG tonight, and she was "crying" with no visible tears, all I could think of was Susan Smith on TV crying with no tears. And she had to cover her face to hide the fact she had no real tears, even though she had been "attacked" and her baby taken. Just have a bad feeling on this one....

did you see the other picture they showed of the baby on Nancy? She had on a red hoodie. She looked malnurished to me. Not sure how old she was in that photo. It's been 6 yr since i had a baby in the house. Anybody else have an opinion of that photo?

I think the baby was premature and that might account for her small size. I have a bad feeling about this, too.

I don't see a malnourished baby and/or dehydrated baby. Her fingers and arms look well fleshed. Her cheeks are plump without being too plump. Her eyes do not have a sunken look.

I don't think this is a recent picture of Daisja. In consideration that she was premature but we don't know how premature, I am going to wager a guess that Daisja was between 3 to 3 1/2 months when this picture was taken. But again, it she could have been up to 4 or 5 weeks older in that picture.

My honest opinion.

ETA: She looks very flaccid in that picture but that can be a side effect of prematurity that take a while for them to overcome or it could be one of her physical hardships talked about. CP is one that comes to mind.

I am hoping the baby is found alive. I have my suspicians about the mom upon first view, something about the way she is grieving, it doesnt seem real to me, but i dont know maybe some mothers cry like that. anyone know the details of this case? I did hear on nancy that the fathers and mothers stories did not match up?

At the below linked video, LE states what she said took place doesn't really match with the evidence they have. But they have no proof it didn't happen either. So they are going to treat this as a kidnpapping.

wow, it said the dogs hit on the dumpsters but found nothing but trash inside, wonder if they were emptied since them, and articles make no mention of who the last person to see the baby was besides the mother...

also i find the statement "there looking in the wrong placed" "over here" weird statements from the mother to be making. how would she know what exactly they are lookng for? Is she trying to divert investigators away from the dumpster by saying that?

And it is a full shot of Daisja, all the way to her feet. Her legs look small.
She appears to be very petite.

My kids were all very large. 4 of my 5 were over 20 lbs at the 2 month check-up. Her family spoke of her premature birth and medical disability. Maybe she is still catching up?

Either some family member took the baby, or mom did. Sorry, I know some of you feel she is genuine, and she may be...I'm just pretty cynical right now.

In my heart, I want to believe the mother is genuine. The skeptical side of me has doubts.

I want to see this beautiful baby returned home, safe and sound.
