Why are all these people with cognitive impairments still driving?! There is story after story posted here about this and all too often it's a tragic ending.
I know having to stop driving is a loss of independence for people and they may not have anyone to help them get to appointments, get groceries etc. In the Province where I live you can report someone who you feel is cognitively impaired anonymously to motor vehicle and they may have to take a road test or get a medical from a doctor. What is it like in the US?

In the US, unless you have it taken away for an accident or legal infraction, you continue to renew and can keep the license.
