GUILTY TX - Donna Sandlin, 47, Keller, 26 March 2007

Well, on the same day Donna was reported missing, Kenneth Woolsey was randomly shot for no known reason only two days after returning to the country after living over seas for 8 years. I did some searching, this man, Kenneth Woolsey was 41, born in Merced California. Donna Sandlin was 47 born in Merced, California. . . It goes much further. It's just hard to minimize the explanation. . .

Thank you. It has been very shocking. I cannot imagine what their children must be feeling.

Whenever I see this phrase "she was last seen by her husband" I get suspicious. It was weird in this case to read the beginning and, basically, the end all in one thread within 24 hours. He confessed, led them to her body...I'd say he's guilty!

Yea, I totally agree, but what if he were forced in someway, or what if he wasn't alone? I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, but everytime I try to let it go, something else comes up. It's just there is a chain of names connecting in California where they were from, that have been killed at the same time in ways that are shocking to those that know them. . .

Donna Sandlin grew up in Chowchilla. The Chowchilla new is talking about how the town is completely stunned by two murders of "well-known women" from the community. Apparantly there town just doesn't have a lot of horrible things happen. . . So, around the same time as Donna Sandlin's murder, Jennifer Flores was killed with one shot to the head by her long-time boyfriend, James Edward Curry. This man claims to have love his girlfriend and to be innocent. Well, I found sometype of class registration for a Continuing ed Legal aid class of some sort in which Donna Sandlin was enrolled under Mark Curry and Associates. . . I know that is a stretch of a connection, but there is still more.

Forgive my spelling errors, I am wrestling a little one in between typing. I know it is hard to follow and sounds crazy, and of course hard for me to explain from the perspective that has been building up over time, but something isn't right here, but I just have a feeling it could be bigger than any one person like me could ever fully understand or bring to light.

Have the authorities given a reason for there being blood spattered on the passenger side of Richard Sandlin's car?? I don't understand that, if he killed her in their bedroom, then put her in his trunk. One other crazy little similarity. . . A woman named Jane Dorotik is serving 25 years in a woman's prison in Chowchilla for being what appears to be wrongly convicted of her husband, Robert Dorotik's murder 5 or more years ago, but he too was strangled and beaten, body dumped out along a dirt road, but his blood and other evidence was found in the 30-year happily married couple's bedroom, along with other evidence implicating the wife. This story has an eerie similarity to Donna's story. . .

You must all think I am crazy!! I do not blame you. I need to let this go; it has been eating me up. I don't know why.

I can tell you this much. I work for the Keller Public School system and while I can't say that I knew Donna well, I had met/seen her on several occassions. She was a delightful lady. Many of our counselors from the district have spent much time at the high school where she worked and, prior to the husband's confession, had spent time with him as well. Two counselors who are friends of mine came back the first day she was missing and said, "The husband knows more than he is saying." Also, the Keller police suspected him from the beginning.

I will say that some of the names and murders you are following are curious, but I know that the opinon of all those who knew Donna and who were with the husband at the beginning feel like he just snapped and killed her. I think everyone has a hard time with stuff like this because it is just so senseless. Here is someone who should cherish you and take care of you and the next thing you know, he kills you! It is horrible!

I don't think you are crazy, onmyown. If he hadn't confessed I would be more open to other theories....that's all. :blowkiss: Don't worry about it and try not to let this eat you up.

The cases you've described do sound interesting. What made you interested in those?

Thank you! I think it is just so hard to fathom. You don't want to believe that someone you've known completely and trusted can just "snap." It's such a scarry thing. Well, the drive by shooting is another just so sudden and unexplained but I got interested in it for some reason because it happened at the same time and some names in the murders connected. But I've come to realize that there are so many more coincidences in the world than you recognize until you start looking for them.

I am just so sad for the families of these people. Death is hard enough to deal with, but when it's unexpained, it must be horrible.

okietexan, do you know the name of the company Richard worked for? The reason I ask is because the media describes him as a marketing director of some sort, which is not what I knew him to do. Also they don't mention the name of the company he worked for, but from what I know, it is a very well-known company.

Donna Sandlin did seem to be a delightful, caring woman. I believe she is okay now, it is her family that my heart goes out to.

I am not sure of the name of the company. However, I will ask our counselors tomorrow when I get to work and see if they know. It was never mentioned in our local papers, just that he was a district manager and traveled to Colorado a couple of times per month. Let me see what I can find out!

Thank you. Please let me know if you hear anything else on this case. I would appreciate it. Do you know what Donna's children's names were? Sara and Kenneth? I hope they are doing okay. I feel for them.

A Keller man who admitted strangling his wife with a shoestring was sentenced this week to 40 years in prison.

Richard A. Sandlin, 49, will have to serve 20 years before he is eligible for parole, said Alana Minton, an assistant district attorney in Tarrant County.
