The parents clarified the shots in the linked video. They say All four shots hit Liz. "It bothers them that this has been seized upon to imply the shooter is not professional because you wouldn't miss someone at point-blank range."I am finally watching the summary on the incident reports after putting it off due to personal dislikes.
I have not read them, but had already heard that only 3 of the 4 shots actually hit her - and also that it might be a mistake. But what surprised me at the moment was how different the locations of the two (three?) hits (before the final face-one) actually are. This and previous impressions from the video by people who know more about guns and shooting than I do, now I really don't think this person was a very experienced shooter, at least not with this particular gun. From the incident report:
The timeline used to have a clarification about the gunshots. It has been scrubbed from their page.
They shoot confidently and quickly - one-handed
3 very rapid shots with little to no hesitation. The first shot is corrected. The only minor pause is positioning themselves over her for the 4th and final anchor shot.
I think gun experience.
30 seconds including the interaction = to snuff out 29 years of life...
