I am finally watching the summary on the incident reports after putting it off due to personal dislikes.
I have not read them, but had already heard that only 3 of the 4 shots actually hit her - and also that it might be a mistake. But what surprised me at the moment was how different the locations of the two (three?) hits (before the final face-one) actually are. This and previous impressions from the video by people who know more about guns and shooting than I do, now I really don't think this person was a very experienced shooter, at least not with this particular gun. From the incident report:
The parents clarified the shots in the linked video. They say All four shots hit Liz. "It bothers them that this has been seized upon to imply the shooter is not professional because you wouldn't miss someone at point-blank range."

The timeline used to have a clarification about the gunshots. It has been scrubbed from their page.

They shoot confidently and quickly - one-handed

3 very rapid shots with little to no hesitation. The first shot is corrected. The only minor pause is positioning themselves over her for the 4th and final anchor shot.

I think gun experience.

30 seconds including the interaction = to snuff out 29 years of life...

Hi can someone please clarify for me where exactly the shooter parked when they went to the Barraza house? If someone had a good map view that would be helpful. I see the Barraza house was near corner and from the video of the shooter's car I can tsell where it is situated and white Liz's vehicle was. Thanks in advance.

Here it’s clarified in dash cam footage by Sergio…not sure how he knows at this point without seeing the neighbor footage yet. He points though.

I’ll look for a map view; I think I have one.

EDITED TO ADD AERIAL VIEW FROM DATELINE

This link has good footage of the truck turning and parking before killing her in cold blood: Surveillance video shows moments before woman shot outside her home in TomballI

As you can see it is BY THE BLACK CAR NEAR THE DRIVEWAY WHERE THE RED CAR IS but CLOSER TO NEIGHBORS DRIVE across street, Liz's vehicle is the one to the left in front of her house. She has star wars stickers on it.

Note to self to not have identifying stickers on my car; makes you easy to follow

I’m starting to narrow my suspects to a small handful of people. I’m also starting to lean into the idea that the same person behind her murder was also behind the burglary and the shooting at work. I know, that doesn’t help much. Just thinking out loud.
At one time long ago I felt I knew everything about this one, because my friends are big Star Wars fans and into visiting hospitals for the kids as well. This case is shocking. However how am I forgetting about her workplace having a shooting/being burglarized?!
Good catch on the differences that day. I wonder if she parked the car on the street so that she could have easier access to the garage door? I think Sergio and Liz’s mom mentioned she left it unlocked in case of an emergency or need to run away.

I noticed Sergio seemed a little nervous or worried about leaving her alone too. I think I recall from the Ring cam he double checked that she left the garage door unlocked and if she sure she would be okay on her own. She sounded excited and confident that she would be as she reassured him.
We really cannot look too into Sergio being nervous leaving Liz alone because he may just be an anxious person by nature. I know if someone watched me on camera leaving my partner alone to do a yard sale, you'd probably see me walk back to check locks and that my partner was good once or twice as well. I do not tend to exude confidence lol.

Someone I never considered was MIL. Strange for Sergio to serve FIL on a silver platter after mentioning a possible lead within the 501st. Would that not destroy his family for him to suggest his own father's involvement? Or were they estranged by this point?

Thank you! I know I had figured this out (somewhat) awhile back but had forgotten. Knew someone here could help out rather than me having to research it again lol. As for Sergio I think in that latest LE dashcam he shows the police officer his doorbell video so he had a bit of info right away via his cellphone alert.

Oh no the second video says not available. Maybe as I'm in Canada lol. I recall now that for a few of us the confusion was due
to thinking the long driveway at the yard sale was actually the roadway. Then someone posted a map or aerial that made things clear.

the Florence Salon Murders with the Jeepers Creepers type outfit,
Already proven to be male and I am not seeing a number of statements online where it was the killer was not referred to as man. I don't see that it was debated.
Jennifer Keese case with the painting suit
Again being referred to and appearing as a man, I'm not seeing a debate about this. Also, the person is not wearing a disguise and did not cover their face or head. This is not known to be the suspect, just someone in the area.

-- A young lady innocently setting up for a garage sale was gunned down in her own driveway.
-- Homicide is a crime. It's not tolerated.
-- It’s not forgotten.
-- No matter how long it takes.
-- Your freedom is limited… you put that bullseye on YOUR back.

For two young people, the home seems to be giant to me.

Curious if someone has talked? Or if someone will talk? The guilt too deep to be kept in, and remain silent. Something has to give... someone knows something. moo

It makes no sense to me, to have a garage sale without another person as a deterrent, starting in the dark, if I fear so much danger, that I have to prepare an escape route. All that for measly $100 at the end, perhaps.
Agree. It never made sense to be so safety conscious and aware and not have your “cash box table” scooted down a few feet so the nest cam could record that area. A concerned nervous husband could go into live view and check on their wife through out the day for piece of mind. We know nothing was going to save Liz that morning and hindsight is 20/20 but it would have provided much much more valuable footage.

It is a big house but fairly typical of a suburban neighborhood on the edges of Houston. The lot/land is small. The houses are fairly close together. The map and pictures can be deceiving when you enter Princeton Place from Kuykenhahl you are right upon her house very quickly. It’s the kind of house and neighborhood a young couple can expand their family in.

In fact the houses are so close that the person is risking. The neighbor could easily shoot them from a window, or hit their tires.

I wonder if the gun used in this case has turned up in the gang world, with the bullets being ballistically matched to the gun

Finding the weapon used in the homicide would be nirvana. moo

+1. In fact by Houston standards, some may consider this to be on the smaller side. By East/ West coast standards, this house is quite large.

Well, everything's bigger in Texas! :)

This could definitely explain having the gang unit involved

I wonder that too. Or, if someone has confessed to selling a gun to someone known to LB.

I have wondered if there was a reason the shooter didn’t shoot Liz facing into the houses, drive by style.

I think it’s probably not significant though and the shooter just shot Liz from the angle they approached, unless that was too on purpose.

Sergio likely couldn’t watch anything if he was driving to Lowe’s <modsnip: Not victim friendly>.
