Found Deceased TX - Emily Wade, 38, Ennis, Ellis County, 5 Jan 2019

I just reread this and not much is different except the part where her sister in law (Gracie) said that she even checked with the area Quality Inns where she (Emily) sometimes stayed.

Why would that be left out this time around? I'm sure there is a logical answer. But it did alert me as being interesting the first time and it alerted me again this time, that bit of info was left out. Why?

I saw the original conversation on Facebook about the quality inn. A man suggested to check the quality inn because she “sometimes stayed there” and the sister in law thanked him for that info. Perhaps the information turned out to be unreliable. Good catch!

I wonder who this man was and how would he know that she (Emily) sometimes stayed at a Quality Inn?

Sort of off topic but it’s really impressive with how the Ennis community has rallied and self organized into trying to find her.

I wondered that myself but can’t post anything due to TOS.

Do we know if she has any type of medical condition that could lend itself to confusion, etc? Low blood sugar, certain mental illnesses, mini stroke...lots of different conditions. I was severely dehydrated one time and passed out on my face at my dr office. I had to get IV fluids. Had I been driving or anything, that would’ve been awful. My mental state was effected by it, too, as well as wacky heartbeats. I’m just throwing stuff out there. Even when I drove, I’d sometimes get lost in thinking about something and drive a good distance past my destination before realizing I did it. Could she have had something like that and ended up in a bad area? These are all JMO, of course.
If she does have any of those conditions, mentioning them on WS would be considered victim-shaming, even though it would be a hard, pertinent fact that might help locate her, and even though she is technically not a victim (according to the police) but a missing person. Others have made this point but I'll go ahead and be the broken record: having Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or a common mental illness that affects one's memory and mental state is not something to be ashamed of. It would explain much, especially in this case, but we are not allowed to discuss these crucial facts on WS due to the, in my opinion, silly, so-called "victim-shaming" policy. End of broken record.

I saw that too and yes perhaps it turned out to be wrong, but have never seen anything debunking it. Considering the state of mainstream media, even if it is a substantiated fact, they will likely ignore and minimize it because it might be considered "victim-shaming." The media is insane in the way they filter facts, witness statements, and reasonable speculation in cases like this. Literally anything that might have a 1 percent chance of eventually making the missing person (not necessarily victim) look bad is filtered out of the discussion. It's gotten to the point where the Emily Wade disappearance cannot be discussed in a productive way here on WS, mainly bec/ several key points are verboten, based on TOC.

He could be:
an informed friend/acquaintance, someone who works at the QI, a Chili's co-worker who knew she stayed there sometimes, someone who stayed there often and saw her on occasion, a friend of the family who had knowledge of her habits, a fellow sleuth from a different board who had access to reliable sources, someone close to the case, or any number of others who might be privy to info like this, first-hand or second-hand.

Here is a link. Not a man. Her sister-in-law made this on Facebook comment where she is the admin of Bring Emily Home page.

Fears grow for missing Texas mom, 37, who disappeared 10 days ago after meeting friends for dinner | Daily Mail Online

"Emily's sister-in-law said on Facebook that she had also checked to see if Emily was staying at a Quality Inn where she was sometimes."

Also reiterating "male employee (co-worker from Chili's) was last person to see her."

Yes, but if the sister in law repeated it to the reporter from Heavy.....it's just strange and why would she say that?!

A man (who I can’t name due to TOS) posted the information about the Quality Inn and the sister in law thanked him. There’s a chance the DM read the same Facebook interaction that I read and misconstrued it. Or maybe the family said it also.

Oops, sorry, it was Daily Mail online.

But what the heck?!

And why is LE concentrating the search in Ennis and not other places?

Yes, this one is still in the "original source not yet found" bec/ it's either a man on FB who gave orig info to the sister, or the sister knew it already and thanked a FB poster for saying something that many others apparently already knew. The reporting is convoluted for sure, but to attempt to answer your question, maybe the sister said it to the Heavy folks bec/ she (she sister) either knew it to be true, or believed it to be so. When searching for a loved one, it's pretty common to want to follow all leads, however odd or weird they seem on their face.

Well, I agree but it should be LE checking out these leads and not the family. Don't you think? Sorry, but I think that sounds like something that should be investigated.

Ok. I'll drop it for now but dang.

Was the prayer vigil earlier this evening streamed online?

Police told NBC News that Wade’s ex-boyfriend, Jared Jones, has been questioned and cleared as a suspect. The male co-worker whose house Wade went to before her disappearance has also been interviewed by police. While police do not have any suspects or persons of interest and have not determined if there was any wrongdoing by anyone, they have also not ruled anyone out, including the co-worker, NBC News reports.

Media is all over the place with conflicting info and short-cutting who said what...IMO. Anyway, I see that it's possible that someone mentioned this to the sister-in-law and she agreed to check it out. Then that's the story DM went with.

I’ve never seen that before. I’ve discussed all of those on many threads for weeks. I was asking if we knew of any such conditions, as I have no idea if she does. Hmmm. Dehydration isn’t victim shaming. Low blood sugar isn’t victim shaming. Distraction due to being lost in thought isn’t victim shaming. I have a few mental illnesses myself, which makes the victim shaming thing due to them a little upsetting. You can report my post. I’m not trying to go against TOS. I can’t believe dehydration isn’t allowed. That’s a super common condition remedied as soon as you’re hydrated. Baffled.
*I’m not upset at you, just in case that doesn’t translate. I know it’s nothing personal. Thanks. I went ahead and reported my post as well.*

I agree LE should check it out. That's the sane way of doing it. But we're just bystanders here, reporting to each other what we find and it did appear that the sis said something about checking it out. That might mean she intended to call her LE source and report it. Who knows. Again, I agree with you LE should be doing the checking, but we do have the right to discuss what we hear from media sources, family interviews, etc. Thanks Razz.
