Found Deceased TX - Emily Wade, 38, Ennis, Ellis County, 5 Jan 2019

  • #381
I believe going by what her mum has said she feels maybe she has had an accident (or god forbid foal play involved) and she is no longer thinks she's alive. Emily went missing on the 5th of Jan, this was published on the 10th it may have been recorded at an earlier date but released on the 5th.

I find it interesting,@ 1:25 when talking about Jared having anything to to with Emily's disappearance she slips into past tense then quickly corrects herself to present tense.

Then she slips back into past tense when talking about Emily and Jared loving their daughter. The past tense language only pops up when talking about Jared?

Now i know they have been "cleared" of being POI, i just find odd she would talk in this manor.

Family of missing Texas mother speaks out amid search
Brilliant analysis JC40. Thanks for discovering that. Sometimes a tiny word change, tense, voice, mood, singular/plural can reveal much about a person's state of mind. Reminds me of a late scene in film "House of Games" where Lidsay Crouse accidentally says "your lighter" instead of "the lighter," and thus tips off Joe Mantegna that she is privy to his criminal plot.

Can anyone tell if Old Lake was searched? I’m reading lots of places searched but don’t see that mentioned. I probably just missed a mention of it because it seems like an obvious place to search.
It's stated in the Today Show video posted above that they've searched all of the waterways in and around the area. I'm not sure that would include Old Lake, but it looks like it's just 12 minutes from Bardwell Lake, so maybe. I haven't checked the FB page - maybe it is mentioned there? Google Maps

It seems the family and searchers are doing a great job of searching in case of an accident. I still personally struggle with suicide with no note for her daughter. So hypothetically, if we were to lean toward an abduction/carjacking who would be the most likely perp? Someone local or an outsider?

I don't think suicide was the issue in this case, but rather lean more toward an accident. That being said, don't get too hung up on there needing to be a suicide note for suicide to occur. I can't remember the most recent percentage, but it is a relatively small number of suicides where a note is left.

Yes, the suspect car in the Missy Bevers case was an Altima, also. Midlothian is what, some 20 miles away?
Little late to this, but was searching this topic to see if Missy Bevers name came up. Surely they aren't related, but when I heard of this story, I immediately thought of Missy since Midlothian isn't too far away. Not a lot happens in that area, so I thought it was odd.

Like maybe she wasn’t romantically interested (and maybe he was) so the early departure time was her “out”? MOO. Maybe he wanted more than just friendship and things went badly?

Just speculating, but it sounds like she left KY with daughter recently. She may have left quickly without money, car, etc. - might explain her “text only phone” and borrowed car?

I actually live less than ten miles from a close relative (in KY). No reason for me to be verified as I have nothing to add, nor would I ask family for private info.

Here’s the link to her hometown newspaper.

I hope this ends well. Cynthiana is truly a Mayberry type town. Everyone does seem to know everyone. Kids grow up trusting everyone, oblivious to what goes on in “other” places. My initial thought was Emily trusted the wrong person. During her childhood, the pop’ was likely around 5k, or less. Even tho’ Ennis is not NYC, I think it’s much dif’ than Cynthiana, KY. Jmo

What TV stations are covering this around Ennis? I see the Ennis, Texas Police Dept Facebookpage has a piece on her and she being missing

Any stations for that area are likely out of Dallas/Fort Worth.

In any event, it has been too long already for this family, so I am hoping she has been found...they need to know the answer and if possible, return her home.

Exactly. And there are so many searchers helping them and posting their search results and maps on the official Facebook page, with members of the family responding to them. People on horseback, those with dogs, people driving around as well, as the official Cajun Search team. I've never seen such a thorough ongoing days (week) long search for evidence and for a missing person. Incredible support. People are still offering their time and service for the upcoming weekend.

Honestly it's difficult to keep up with who is official and who isn't. Especially when family and friends respond back with gratitude and prayers.

The searchers have been posting things that they have personally found, or that they witnessed something (the car) for example. Many times it doesn't mean anything other than the asking of "Is this important?" "Has this been checked out already?" Imagine the overwhelming task of coordinating all the volunteers. Kudos to them all.

Finishing a movie night at 8.30 is reasonably early, it’s possible Emily had other plans as well or instead head in the direction of shops while it was still early and her mother/co workers weren’t aware of her plans and something happened to her/her car on the way and the search hasn’t gotten to that spot yet. But if the town is indeed small it’s amazing how much time has passed without any clues. It reminds me of the Mollie Tibet’s case where she seemed to vanish without a trace and there was a lot of conflicting statements released.
