Cars will float in a foot of water, and for up to 2 minutes if sealed up. But, I still don't see the car going all that far, with all the trees, etc. Some were saying that there are sometimes holes and caves, but...

No clue if she was a smoker, but it's not uncommon to have the window down an inch or three, especially if it's a borrowed car. That would make breaking a window exponentially easier.

:rolleyes:I just cannot get this case off of my mind..Maybe it's because I live fairly close and drive right past Ensign Rd. and Chambers Creek when travelling to my sisters lake home in Mabank...I have looked at the creek area over and over, along with the fact that Emily Wade had lived in this area in previous years, still bothers me since people in this area know about the low water crossings. The car not being found bothers me to the point that I rarely have a day that I don't think or wonder about it. All that being said, there is another reason that it's been on my mind so much lately is because of something that happened 4th of July w/e when returning home from my sisters. I have a portable car stereo, like a small boombox since I love music when driving especially, and my whole navigation system, including the stereo went out so for money sake i just bought a small stereo. I have honda bucket seats and anyone familiar knows they sit a little low and dip down in actual seat area. Short story long lol as I was coming back about to head into Ennis, and as I crossed over Chamber's Creek, and as usual had this lady on my mind due to the area....music blaring...then my stereo, right as was over the creek, just toppled onto the floor. I did not hit a bump or make a sharp turn so this was to me a sign...IDK I understand it sounds hokie but regardless, it sent my thoughts into fifth gear. I just really wish they would find the car and maybe look into how she was able to get out of it a little more. I am looking in to contact someone who does large water searches for things like this, but they are far away from Texas. Any thoughts?:(

Same. Two summers later, and no car... I'm at the other end of the country, or I'd be tempted to sort a hovercraft and do a serious search. I still don't buy the accepted story. The friend she was with, occupation, family, property. I Google Earthed the heck out of the area, property lines, easements, trails, and it's not adding up. That crossing was way out of her way.

Just doesn't look like the kind of place that would swallow a Nissan and not give it up.
