A Texas babysitter has been charged with criminally negligent homicide after a two-month-old baby girl in her care died of a Benadryl overdose.

Adonna Cheree Townsend, 28, was arrested on Monday when she turned herself in to Grand Prairie police as Johnson County law enforcement obtained a warrant to detain her.

It comes as little girl Emma Nicole Cox-Jenkins' cause of death on May 23 was confirmed as an acute overdose of diphenydramine by the Tarrant County medical examiner.
