'BEAUMONT, Texas — A 40-year-old Beaumont man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with four cold case sexual assaults after DNA evidence linked him to the crimes.
Eric J. Gipson Sr. was taken into custody around 3:30 p.m. by the Beaumont Police Department's Special Crimes Unit and Special Assignment Unit officers.'

'Police obtained a search warrant for Gipson's DNA after identifying him as a potential suspect. Laboratory analysis confirmed his DNA matched evidence collected in all four cases.'
