Police made contact with him in May and seized his phone, they tell ABC 10News he was detained, questioned, and released because there wasn’t enough evidence at the time to arrest him.

My guess is that she told her parents she was a dancer instead of telling them she worked as an escort. That's why the club is a part of all of this. Piney Woods Apts are not far from me. While this area is getting larger there is still quite a bit of heavily forested acreage around here. Just south of the apts is South Loop 336 and if you head East on that road then you will find a whole lot of trees. If he brought her back up this way then I would imagine searching around there would maybe be a good idea. Also, that area of Conroe isn't the best. It's close to Dugan, which is the sketchiest part of town.

Edit by me to add: San Jacinto river isn't far either. He could have tossed her in a few different locations. Not sure how high the river is at the moment considering we are basically in a drought but something to consider as well.

There doesn't appear to be any physical evidence (video etc) that she was ever at the club and LE has been pretty pointed in that she was "reportedly" at the club. The video evidence shows her leaving her hotel then meeting up with the POI at an apartment, NO mention made of a club. This updated article also states she had posted on a sex workers website not long before she went missing and had posted on other sites as well. I looked up the site she most recently posted on and it connects sex workers and clients in various cities. Is there something in the documents that indicate the Tx Piney Woods area is a location of interest? I have not found anything specifying that but I may have missed it. If this is simply conjecture, could you please let us know?

Police say Nwobodo then brought Johnson back to his current apartment, less than two miles away.

On May 13, a probable cause arrest warrant was issued for Nwobodo, along with search warrants for his car and home. Police allegedly found blood in the trunk and backseat of his vehicle, which also contained a handgun, loose latex gloves, a shovel and a large kitchen knife with blood on it, according to court documents.

During the search of his home, investigators also found “apparent blood stains” throughout the residence, and especially large amounts on the bedroom and hallway floors.

Police confiscated Nwobodo’s phone during his May 13 arrest. A later warranted search of his Google accounts revealed several dubious internet searches.
