Perhaps they quickly obtained the image from the phone of whoever the child was allegedly with, and that’s the most recent one this person had.

People don’t steal cars, and keep the kid.

Kidnappers aren’t trolling around looking for a car with a child in it.

Wow!

I don’t like that they’re not addressing his condition, but if this was something else (what I was suspicious of), then I would have expected his recovery to take longer.

Maybe this is a good thing, and they just haven’t confirmed his health.

I've read the whole thread. I would just assume the person whose car was stolen would say he was left in the back seat rather than say he was left in the trunk, if that was the case.
