Me neither. Its a capital case. Since they can't go for the death penalty, what's left is life without. Texas didn't used to have that, but the law changed. So, she would never be released. Also, since they only charged her with three of the murders, they could still retry her for the others if she's found not guilty by reason of insanity. The first jury only took four hours, so this one doesn't look too quick to me.

Yeah, they were just discussing the other possible cases.

Debating why the county paid big bucks ($250,000 for one expert;didn't specify which one, Dietz or Wellner) when the county has perfectly, good, educated, smart people on it's payroll.

One advantage that the defense had in the second trial is that the State did not have a death qualified jury this time.

George Parnham (Andrea's lawyer) crying. Commentators shocked and stunned.

I'm so happy with the verdict. I always thought it was clear that she was mentally ill. I'm glad the jury thought so also.

God bless that jury. What a heartwrenching trial on which to serve. I think they chose the right.

Court TV, America's all guilty, all the time channel.

I don't think they will try for the other 2. Do you guys?

Hugs going all around including Rusty.

I agree. Andrea looked shocked.

Thank God. I hope that they don't try her for the other two, but that prosecutor must be pretty steamed. She'd have to explain to the taxpayers why she's wasting their money.

I hope we get to hear from the jury.

I doubt it, but you never know. I agree with Fred Graham, Andrea looked puzzled. Where did she go? Will she go back to the hospital today?

The 2 trials were very expensive. Experts on this one alone $500,000. So, maybe just let it go. Justice was served. Just repeating what I'm hearing on TV.
