Floradean's NamUs page has been removed.
RSBM
Does this mean either she has been located or that there is no longer a search for her?
ETA: Can relatives request a search be discontinued?

Unfortunately we can’t know for sure. It could be only temporarily down, or her case could have been resolved and could be counted as resolved at a later date.

I am not sure, but I think relatives can request that a page be taken down even if the person hasn’t been found, I think there’s been a case like that last year. That case also hadn’t been counted as resolved when it was taken down.

Could he have had something to do with this.

Whether he was responsible remains to be seen. Hard to prove now, either way. For all we know, he was still in the military when she went missing. She had been staying with his mother. The 1950 census shows Floradean and Minnie Walker living in Precinct #4 which is in Menard, Menard County, TX. Hext, TX is in Precinct #6. The census (from what I gather), shows them living "Continuing east on Highway 151". That 'address' is on the preceding page of the census showing Floradean.

On August 22, 1951, SH 151 was cancelled and transferred to SH 29 which was extended. Google shows SH29 running east from Menard, TX to Hext, TX. I just wanted to establish exactly where Floradean was living when she disappeared. Hext or Menard? Menard. The 1930 census shows Wesley and family living on Ellis School Road, southwest of Menard.

Then, she marries under her maiden name, Floradean Hawes, 21 Mar 1950 in Burtonville, AK. to Wesley E. Walker, of Hext, TX. He was born in Sampsel, Mo. He died in Buckner, TX at age 78 according to his obit. The Kansas City Star Thu, Jan 28, 1982 ·Page 10 has his obit.
I'd also like to make some corrections to my previous post: Wesley E. Walker was born in Menard, Menard County according to his birth certificate on Ancestry.com.

And Bentonville, which is where Wesley and Floradean got married, is the county seat of Benton County, Arkansas, not Burtonville.

NAMUS protocol should state right away, on that page, why a page was taken down, IMO. It would save a lot of confusion and speculation.

Totally agree. I'm not sure how that all works, but I'd think a set of codes would be helpful, such as:

RBR- removed by request of _______, search terminated
(or something like that)

That would be amazing. I have no hope it will happen though. 🙁

Does that mean we cannot research anymore? What happens if it is a false hit does the page come back up?
