Can someone tell me if she unholstered her gun before going into the apartment? If so, where (which day/witness) did this come out?

She did. She testified that when she realized the door was slightly ajar she unholstered and took out her "service revolver" and went in.

Murder. Thank you Jurors!

And yes, I will crow that I called this yesterday.

I find it disturbing that she hasn't spent the last year in jail, awaiting trial, for shooting an innocent man since she made the claim she intended to kill him.

No she couldn't spend a year in jail, she had a cruise to go on.

Thanks. That's a slam dunk guilty right there.

I could see her from the side before the lawyers stepped away and the office was blocking. She was visibly shaking and beginning to cry. I don't think it was just a sniff. She physically totally changed. Not that it matters. It's a huge moment and I don't think reactions can be predicted.

Well I just watched her walk out and she doesn't appear to have been crying much at all. Is she stoic or cold blooded? IDK.

I would go in. My family & pets could be in danger.
Justice for Botham!! I was worried that the jury would be convinced of "stand your ground"....but didn't.

She's still out on bond. If I were her I'd take another cruise, one-way.

One good thing about the verdict.....no riots!

And justice for a man who was wrongfully executed in his apartment by a trigger happy and aggressive person. That's a good thing I think for our nation.

methinks she should not have lied--- jurors hate liars. she lied about him coming at her when she shot him: it appears the jury believed the medical examiner who testified about the trajectory of the bullet so her story fell apart: I believe the jury believed she
had options- she didn't have to go into the apartment - she could have called for back up.

She probably won't walk out at the end of today. On WFAA he just said that if she gets 10 years or less then she can appeal to be out on appellate bond. If it's 11 years or more, then that is not an option and she will go to jail immediately. Or something like that ...

Absolutely!! Was very much concerned about that. Lets see what the sentence will be before we get too excited over no riots. I believe she will get a harsh sentence to prison. imo
Thank you thank you thank you JUSTICE SERVED WE LOVE YOU BOTHAM!!

Thank GOD the Jurors did the right thing! What a dangerous precedent would have been set if they had reached any other conclusion! IMO

justice IS something to celebrate it means a lot to a lot of us , I cant imagine what was going to happen to my city if it wasn't murder!!!!
A time and place for everything. A courthouse is no place for outbursts like that. MOO. Juries do not always get it right. This one seems to have, I agree I always said it was murder, but I had no intention of destroying a city if they came back with something else.

She faces up to 99 years. I'm thinking this jury recommends 40

I also think she lied when she said she gave him left-handed CPR.

She can also just go and kill herself somewhere before sentence can be imposed. I'm surprised she was released.
