Well I just watched her walk out and she doesn't appear to have been crying much at all. Is she stoic or cold blooded? IDK.

Yes

She faces up to 99 years. I'm thinking this jury recommends 40

I'm betting much less but I have been wrong so far so many times in this case.

Mom and step-father were there for Amber, it's reported. Very sad day for them.

I also think she lied when she said she gave him left-handed CPR.
she is trained she knew what she was doing (or didn't do at all)

Tuesday morning, the panel had two questions for the court, according to attorneys for the Jean family. Jurors asked for a definition of manslaughter and for additional information on the so-called castle doctrine — the legal notion that your home is your castle, and you have the right to use lethal force to defend your home and not retreat. They are being allowed to consider the legal doctrine in the murder case.

“When you aimed and pulled the trigger at Mr. Jean, shooting him in center mass exactly where you are trained, you intended to kill Mr. Jean,” Hermus said.

“I did,” Guyger said.

Hermus argued it was “absolutely unreasonable” that Guyger missed numerous signs, including a bright red doormat outside Jean’s door, that indicated she was at the wrong apartment.

Hermus had the final word in closing arguments, walking right up to Guyger in her seat, pointing at her, looking her in the eye, and forcefully urging the jury to tell Guyger: “You will be held responsible for what you did and whether or not you want to accept responsibility, it will be forced upon you.

“And by God in Dallas County, Texas,” he continued, “there will be a consequence for you walking in and shooting an unarmed, defenseless man.”

She can also just go and kill herself somewhere before sentence can be imposed. I'm surprised she was released.

Sadly, that's crossed my mind many times. I think she's a prime candidate.

I think everyone needs to reserve their elation for the sentencing. I hope it comes soon. Anyone know if it's scheduled?

From WFAA Dallas:

The jury has found Amber Guyger guilty of murder in the shooting death of her neighbor Botham Jean on Sept. 6, 2018.

The jury reached the verdict late Tuesday morning, a day after the closing arguments were delivered by both teams.

Following the reading of the verdict, Judge Tammy Kemp dismissed the jury for lunch and said
the sentencing phase would begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

My comments weren't intended to take anything away from Bo's family.

I heard someone on court tv say that DA can pick the jury or the judge to impose the sentence. It sounds like they want the jury? Judge tammy looked pretty upset when she walked in and it appeared her mascara was smeared under her eyes. I do think that she has some serious empathy for AG.

She is sitting alone crying. I do not hate or despise this woman. I do believe she murdered him. I do hope she is feeling as alone as he did. I believe that ultimately makes this punishment just.

I don't hate nor despise her either. I have no feelings at all for her. My feelings are for the victims family, especially his Mom. I feel when she speaks she will speak with grace. God bless his family.

Can she change her mind and have the judge decide the sentence?

Botham Jean’s mother threw both arms up in the air upon hearing the guilty verdict. Another woman started to shout in praise, but the bailiff quickly chastised her.

Multiple members of Jean’s family broke out sobbing and hugged members of the prosecution team.

Meanwhile, Amber Guyger’s mother broke down crying.

After the judge started dismissed the room and the doors opened, people in the hallway began clapping and cheering loudly. Other members of the public were crying on benches in hallway.

There were shouts of “Guilty! Guilty!” and “black lives matter” from those in the hallway.

I wonder if she just admitted her guilt before this whole thing went to trial, if she could have gotten a lesser sentence. Any lawyers have a guess on that?
