@arielilane what are you thinking as far as outcome? Another mistrial?

Powerful closing argument by the State, imo.

I also believe the State showed/proved that the killer came from the 2nd/3rd floor of the home.
Blood evidence, phone and alarm evidence all damning. imo

Guilty, and a verdict in less than 7 hours. moo

What are your thoughts, @Elliot_Alderson?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I also thought the first two trials should have ended in a guilty verdict so what do I know? I guess the brother was presented in enough of a light to cause those first two juries to have some doubt but I don't really think that happened this time. It's just logic and common sense to me. He was the one with motive, means, opportunity. JMO

I'm not familiar with the first two trials so not comfortable commenting on either one. I guess with this one third time is the charm. Maybe? ;)

Jury deliberating AJ Armstrong’s fate in third capital murder trial

If convicted, Armstrong will face life in prison. This comes after two previous trials were both declared mistrials after jurors couldn’t come to a unanimous decision.

AUGUST 15, 2023, 4:07 PM (LAST UPDATED: AUGUST 15, 2023, 5:29 PM)

After a years-long legal battle and two mistrials, a man accused of killing his parents in 2016 has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the Houston Police Department of allegedly planting evidence in an effort to push forward a false conviction.

This comes as a new set of jurors continue to deliberate whether to convict 23-year-old Antonio “AJ” Armstrong Jr. for the murder his parents, Dawn and Antonio Armstrong Sr. Court records say the couple was shot in the head with a .22-caliber pistol owned Armstrong’s father while they slept in the family's Bellaire-area home on July 29, 2016.
