It can start very early with kids being sexuality’s unfortunately.
Yes, and it's normal. But what happened here is not normal. The reports state she was forced to do it, and that's not normal or acceptable.

I’m certainly not saying THIS is normal.
We had a 4 year old boy digitally penetrate a 5 year old girl in a PreK bathroom. She told the teacher. The teacher did nothing. When the little little girl was picked up, the teacher said nothing to her mother, nor did she inform the little boys mother. The little girl informed her mom on the way home and the mother immediately took her to the ER. It was confirmed in the ER. Mom called LE, DSS, (who knew the little boys family well) and the school. The little girls family wanted the boy arrested and the teachers fired. The little boy was not arrested because in NC there has to be a 4 year age difference between a the offender and victim. The little girl was, naturally, pulled from the school, the teachers fired and the little boy was allowed to stay, only if he was undergoing intensive counseling. He was placed in my classroom, with a full time one on one, where he became more and more sexually aggressive towards both sexes, his aide and myself. Unfortunately, he wasn’t making his appointments. (Surprising no one, unfortunately) When he finally left and went to Kindergarten after a summer of hell, we weren’t allowed to pass on any information about him to the school. This bothered me so much, I could just see some poor teacher getting sued. So, you do what you have to do. I have no idea what’s going on with him now. I know the little girl is thriving! She has a good family and got immediate support.

Yup, he’d be 9 now. I could find a way to check on him, but I won’t get caught up with his family again.

Hope he got the help he so clearly needed.

I threw up in my mouth a little when I read the title. What has this world come to? My question is how these small children know what sex is and how sex acts are performed. That’s disgusting. Poor girl. She’s gonna need some intense therapy after this.

I worked as a case manager for a DA’s office which provided and coordinated services to k-8 grade students and their families. These services encompassed individual, group and family counseling, tutoring, anger management and referrals to court for non-compliance. Unfortunately, this behavior you experienced, is seen more and more frequently. I had offices in 4 schools which enabled me to earn the trust of the school staff and administrators. Once our office became involved, the school system seemed to take action. This was one of the type of cases that the family thought the courts. This allowed us to get the parents engaged in services.

This was Head Start PreK., unfortunately not in a public school setting, where I’m sure more would have been done for him. More would have been demanded to be done for him. The little girl had/has much better circumstances at home.

Haven't seen anyone mention this. Is law enforcement investigating this little boy's family and home life? He needs help too.

This is horrific, this poor little girl :(.

What the hell is going on in these boys homes that they even know about this stuff?, what has been done to the boy who in turn did this to this little girl?.
Access to the internet unfiltered or supervised, IMO.

I am sitting with my hand over my face in shock! IMHO try as I might, I simply cannot wrap my head around this revolting incident! Classroom with students who force a 6 year girl to perform a sex act. This event was likely not done in absolute silence. How big could this teacher be so engaged with other students that this went completely unnoticed? It is so bad but actually gets worse. What a strong mighty hand the school dealt by moving involved students to ANOTHER CLASSROOM! I am so sorry and sad for this poor little girl. I find it highly unlikely that this will be a one and done incident with these mini pervs. I hope her family is able to help her through this. This school needs to take a fresh look at leadership.

Other questions -- did the "reviewers" have children? Did the "reviewers" have daughters, or sisters, or nieces, or mothers?

My guess is they did NOT.

Now Taxpayers of Plainview, take your turn & do the right thing & demand justice for this girl!

jmho ymmv lrr
Or sons.

Exactly my point. The victim needs help but the other two kids need some help too. This is not okay and the sooner they understand that, the better for everyone. You can't expect kids to understand why something is wrong, you have to explain. In order for these SIX YEAR OLD kids to perform these acts on another child against her will, they had to have seen it somewhere. Kids don't imagine these things. This needs to be investigated to the full extent.

So a 25 year old guy can assault a 23 year old girl and not get arrested? What in the holy heck is this? I lived in NC too (when my kids were in ES). Ick. I mean, it was 1977 in Maryland when a 16 year old neighbor boy assaulted me and my parents called LE who said, and I quote, little girls prance around in front of men all sexy that the men can't be blamed, too enticing. Nothing was done...except my dad taking little pedo Tony out back and pummeling him. That was 1977 and this is 2023. Have we not made any progress? Children cannot consent. They may not struggle or say no but they cannot consent. These stories are heartbreaking. The trauma is life long....LIFE LONG.

There is a HUGE difference between a 25yr old man sexually assaulting a 23yr old woman and and a 4yr old child sexually assaulting another 4yr old child. Both are very serious. One is considered a crime, one is not.
1977 was still a horrific time for females to be taken seriously in regards to sexual assault. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

I should have added that I was 4. But I just don't understand schools not taking this seriously. Little 4, 6, 8, 12...whatever...boys doing sex acts on others in a classroom is a huge red flag of some big issues. A classroom, we're not talking about a bunch of 6 year old friends playing around in a backyard experimenting or whatever. But 2 boys exerting force over a girl under a desk in a classroom...and having the wearwithall to film it. Screams red flags and the school is just shrugging and saying 'boys will be boys' essentially. I am sooooo glad my kids are all out of school and came out unscathed. It really is a craps shoot anymore.

I agree. And while there was no social media in the past, elderly teachers have tales to tell (as did the teachers of the previous generation). I see no good data that this is on the increase, but I do see a correlation between class size and overall incidents of this type (including punching, kicking, bringing weapons to class, etc - it's all stuff children have to be taught not to do).

Children imitate what they see. School is about building on what their parents have already taught them about proper social behavior.

IMO.

Considering law enforcement's declaration I'm quite confident this was something that happened very sneakily in the back of the classroom. Even before that statement I would have assumed that even mediocre teachers would notice kids using force on one another. A 6 year old can't consent but a 6 year old also cannot form criminal intent. Things like this have always happened, it could often be tracked back to someone somewhere having been molested but it was the recording of it that is causing the vast majority of the problem.

I'm honestly surprised this specific incident made the news. Not that it isn't serious but schools usually keep this kind of thing tight and work directly with children's services who would use it as the basis of opening a case on all the involved parties and find out if someone is being molested at home and by whom.

The framing of the initial story makes me think it was the family of the girl who took it to the media, probably because they felt not enough was being done legally - but what do we want done? A 6 year old boy or boys arrested? A teacher fired for not keeping watch under every desk at all times? No, the person or persons to blame for this is whoever is artificially sexualizing children - and it could be almost anyone in these kids' lives. My money would be on a step-parent/sibling or similar unrelated person in one of their homes.

My "like" of your post is for your father taking matters into his own hands. Good for him.
