6 y/o girl: -can't sleep - scared to go to school

Yes, and it's normal. But what happened here is not normal. The reports state she was forced to do it, and that's not normal or acceptable. It can start very early with kids being sexuality’s unfortunately.
I’m certainly not saying THIS is normal.Yes, and it's normal. But what happened here is not normal. The reports state she was forced to do it, and that's not normal or acceptable.
Wow. Just wow. All of it. 4 years old?!I’m certainly not saying THIS is normal.
We had a 4 year old boy digitally penetrate a 5 year old girl in a PreK bathroom. She told the teacher. The teacher did nothing. When the little little girl was picked up, the teacher said nothing to her mother, nor did she inform the little boys mother. The little girl informed her mom on the way home and the mother immediately took her to the ER. It was confirmed in the ER. Mom called LE, DSS, (who knew the little boys family well) and the school. The little girls family wanted the boy arrested and the teachers fired. The little boy was not arrested because in NC there has to be a 4 year age difference between a the offender and victim. The little girl was, naturally, pulled from the school, the teachers fired and the little boy was allowed to stay, only if he was undergoing intensive counseling. He was placed in my classroom, with a full time one on one, where he became more and more sexually aggressive towards both sexes, his aide and myself. Unfortunately, he wasn’t making his appointments. (Surprising no one, unfortunately) When he finally left and went to Kindergarten after a summer of hell, we weren’t allowed to pass on any information about him to the school. This bothered me so much, I could just see some poor teacher getting sued. So, you do what you have to do. I have no idea what’s going on with him now. I know the little girl is thriving! She has a good family and got immediate support.
Yup, he’d be 9 now. I could find a way to check on him, but I won’t get caught up with his family again.Wow. Just wow. All of it. 4 years old?!
Hope he got the help he so clearly needed.Yup, he’d be 9 now. I could find a way to check on him, but I won’t get caught up with his family again.
I worked as a case manager for a DA’s office which provided and coordinated services to k-8 grade students and their families. These services encompassed individual, group and family counseling, tutoring, anger management and referrals to court for non-compliance. Unfortunately, this behavior you experienced, is seen more and more frequently. I had offices in 4 schools which enabled me to earn the trust of the school staff and administrators. Once our office became involved, the school system seemed to take action. This was one of the type of cases that the family thought the courts. This allowed us to get the parents engaged in services.I’m certainly not saying THIS is normal.

This was Head Start PreK., unfortunately not in a public school setting, where I’m sure more would have been done for him. More would have been demanded to be done for him. The little girl had/has much better circumstances at home.I worked as a case manager for a DA’s office which provided and coordinated services to k-8 grade students and their families. Access to the internet unfiltered or supervised, IMO.This is horrific, this poor little girl.
What the hell is going on in these boys homes that they even know about this stuff?, what has been done to the boy who in turn did this to this little girl?.
Or sons.Other questions -- did the "reviewers" have children? Did the "reviewers" have daughters, or sisters, or nieces, or mothers?
My guess is they did NOT.
Now Taxpayers of Plainview, take your turn & do the right thing & demand justice for this girl!
jmho ymmv lrr
Exactly my point. The victim needs help but the other two kids need some help too. This is not okay and the sooner they understand that, the better for everyone. You can't expect kids to understand why something is wrong, you have to explain. In order for these SIX YEAR OLD kids to perform these acts on another child against her will, they had to have seen it somewhere. Kids don't imagine these things. This needs to be investigated to the full extent.Haven't seen anyone mention this. Is law enforcement investigating this little boy's family and home life? He needs help too.
So a 25 year old guy can assault a 23 year old girl and not get arrested? What in the holy heck is this? I lived in NC too (when my kids were in ES). Ick. I mean, it was 1977 in Maryland when a 16 year old neighbor boy assaulted me and my parents called LE who said, and I quote, little girls prance around in front of men all sexy that the men can't be blamed, too enticing. Nothing was done...except my dad taking little pedo Tony out back and pummeling him. That was 1977 and this is 2023. Have we not made any progress? Children cannot consent. They may not struggle or say no but they cannot consent. These stories are heartbreaking. The trauma is life long....LIFE LONG.I’m certainly not saying THIS is normal.

There is a HUGE difference between a 25yr old man sexually assaulting a 23yr old woman and and a 4yr old child sexually assaulting another 4yr old child. Both are very serious. One is considered a crime, one is not.So a 25 year old guy can assault a 23 year old girl and not get arrested? What in the holy heck is this? I lived in NC too (when my kids were in ES). Ick. I should have added that I was 4. But I just don't understand schools not taking this seriously. Little 4, 6, 8, 12...whatever...boys doing sex acts on others in a classroom is a huge red flag of some big issues. A classroom, we're not talking about a bunch of 6 year old friends playing around in a backyard experimenting or whatever. But 2 boys exerting force over a girl under a desk in a classroom...and having the wearwithall to film it. Screams red flags and the school is just shrugging and saying 'boys will be boys' essentially. I am sooooo glad my kids are all out of school and came out unscathed. It really is a craps shoot anymore. There is a HUGE difference between a 25yr old man sexually assaulting a 23yr old woman and and a 4yr old child sexually assaulting another 4yr old child. 1977 was still a horrific time for females to be taken seriously in regards to sexual assault. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

My "like" of your post is for your father taking matters into his own hands. Good for him.So a 25 year old guy can assault a 23 year old girl and not get arrested? What in the holy heck is this?
