I believe both Mitch and Emily are victims, because this murdered their child, but I also have the feeling-- some of it based on what we have seen in msm, some of it based on assumptions on my part--that there were significant red flags that were overlooked in Mitch's relationship with this female.

One cannot overlook red flags, even small ones, and still protect their child. This was a two year old baby girl. If her parents don't look out for her, who is going to? According to Mitch's interview, Muniz faked some kind of mugging or something previous to this incident. That's enough for me.

I'm also guessing we will find that the CPS calls line up with times that poor Gracie was in Muniz's care.

And the whole sex in the car thing? Bizarre. Self-centered. And just wrong.

We are hard as hell on women who choose losers who hurt their children. Based on the arrest affadaivit and Mitch's recent interview, I see him continuing to make excuses for Muniz, and that's just a tiny glimpse, IMO, into what's been going on for as long as they've been together.

He has been victimized by a female who murdered his child, but I'll save my tears for the baby.

As far as the mother goes, I really don't know. I think most of what we "know" about mom is based on conjecture and extrapolation. She was in recovery and didn't have custody of her daughter. That's about all I really know.

My theory is rather weak but, maybe...
If Grace was scared, screaming and crying then it's likely her nose would have been running and also stuffy... making it tough (and eventually impossible) to breathe.

That was my thought.

It bothers me, too. If you haven't already, read the affidavit charging her with Capital murder.

The timeline is so tight. If MM returned from the Dollar Store at 1:03 (key fob marker) then actively threw all of the evidence away at 1:18 (key fob marker), that gives her only 15 minutes to kill Grace. Someone up thread posited that maybe Grace was smothered first then the duct tape was applied.

BBM. This. I hope people will remember this. I know we're definitely in a gray area for rules, but this case is difficult to discuss in black in white "victim vs criminal" terms. It seems like everyone failed her and Dad is in the media making statements that seem to, in some way, attempt to exonerate the girlfriend of murder. If genders were reversed he (she) would be getting shredded. We've all seen it.

Ok I need some input. To get on someone's approved visitors list, do you need to actively take some action? Like, can you be put on someone's visitor list BY them without agreeing to be on the list?

It says approved. I am wondering if you need to consent to and pass a background check or something.

I do not know for sure but I assume the visitors list is the people that the prisoner is willing to see.

In order to get put on an approved visitation list for visiting inmates at the Collin County jail you will have to be put on that list by the inmate you wish to visit. You also have to be approved by the court as an acceptable visitor.

It doesn't say you have to do anything to be approved, but seems you'd have to consent to a background check or whatever. Maybe not.

Muniz has 2 arrests - yesterday's and another one which I believe was that eviction I posted about earlier.

These 2 came up when I searched for Melinda Lynn Muniz and inserted her birthdate of 1/18/1989

Estates of Prosper was awarded a judgment in 2013 for $649 yet the previous link shows in the second mugshot she had 3 charges against her.

This was an eviction for unpaid rent.

I can not see how he could possibly be an acceptable visitor not saying he has any intention to visit but I would think the prosecutor would have a fit.

Certainly she could not be this clueless and then she must be.

I gotta say I read the arrest affidavit. There were too many inconsistencies noted by police on the very day Gracie was discovered. One, for example, was the claim that the mystery rapist turned her over on her stomach and pulled her pants down from the back. Officers noted her pants were unbuttoned and unzipped which is not the same as pulling her pants down from behind. Too many inconsistencies reported by officers in the arrest affidavit for me to give any thought to reasonable doubt or her being confused and claiming innocence. :floorlaugh: at this assertion by Muniz

One thing that is bothering me is every article keeps talking about the duct tape on the mouth. There had to be something more that happened covering someones mouth does not totally cut off your air way unless I am missing something?

One of the CPS reports alleged a possible overdose on Benadryl. Where I heard or read that I can't recall - maybe in a news report today (tv news report).
