Terri and David Green are missing a large part of their family tonight after their four goats were killed right in their yard.

Their sweet dog, Allie, is still recovering after trying to save the family’s pets.

According to Terri and David, Tuesday afternoon, someone came onto their property and shot the goats at close range. The family didn’t hear the gunfire.

A neighbor’s ring camera later confirmed the sound just before 2:30 p.m., right across from an elementary school.

"And I came up to see her, and she could barely even get up, and she had blood on her ear, and she was matted with mud and some blood, and someone, someone had actually beaten the dog," David said.

omg nothing infuriates me more than psychopaths who hurt animals
poor Allie dog
I wonder why they didn't shoot her but appeared to beat her up
I hope she got a few bites in and I hope they install cameras now

Either someone was overly bothered by the animals, which is highly doubtful or they are beyond deranged. I hope the law is there to prosecute and make the charges stick. There should be an added charge for shooting a gun so close to an elementary school.

At 2:30pm, the children could have been on a playground or outside on a beautiful day learning something. While the goats were clearly the target, a bullet could have missed, then ricocheted a long distance. The trauma a child could have seen outside a classroom window can really effect them.

Goats don’t tend to be noisy enough to be a problem. But in my own personal experience, they are escape artists. The owners didn’t mention any complaints, so I assume that wasn’t an issue?

If there were no issues with neighbors and this is a random crime - it’s a pretty scary one. The injuries to their dog almost sound like a whip or something like it was used. Interesting that she wasn’t shot too? Ran out of ammo?

Hope LE gets to the bottom of it and finds out who did it and why.
