I am wondering if there is a father/ step-dad/ BF to the mom living at MB's house and this could possibly be the "mystery" man who took several LDT?

And why didn't she go to her BF vigil? Too busy? That just throws red flags up everywhere.

Maybe it was because her mother does not want her in the media spotlight, which is entirely understandable.

What if a family was visiting MB home for the Christmas holiday, and were staying at the hotel, and snatched her. Or maybe wasn't staying at the hotel...perhaps the reason for the scent is she got away briefly from her attacker. I'm betting that hotel didn't have camera's focused around the entire hotel.

I don't think we have any idea how long Hailey was at her dad's on Sunday-he only said, yes she was there, we don't know for sure she did not go anyplace else on Sunday as far as I know.

Maybe Hailey did walk to her dad's and realized he wasn't home and did go to MB's and she wasn't home?

But then, if they only picked up on a scent at the hotel without tracking her there, then where is her track from MB's to her next destination?

So puzzling!

Since we are back on the topic of the dogs, I think that SAR dogs should be taken to where the tire tracks, field glasses and knife sheath were found to see if Hailey was there. Would that ever be feasible now with the length of time that has passed?

And, to show just how on the fence I still am, has Hailey's flier been put up or distributed to closest counties (ones that have such services) greyhound or other transit services?

Regarding the possible direction:

GRACE: Let me ask you this. How would they be able to tell, for instance, that she went from the home to the father`s house and then toward this motel? How do we know that she wasn`t coming back backwards? I mean how -- can the dogs determine that? I don`t see how they can.

DENNIS: They actually -- they do this a number of times whenever they`re setting up their training and their trailing exercises, is they`ll run backtracks. They`ll have their subject actually run backtracks. It will give a different indication to the handler from the canine that this is a fresher scent versus the older scent.

According to City Manager Kampfer, search dogs picked up a few scent spots indicative of Hailey’s presence near the Western Suites hotel off I-20, just a few blocks from Hailey’s home.

Kampfer says the scents were detected after law enforcement brought the dogs to several locations, not by following any sort of “trail” to the hotel.

Where was Dad Monday anyway, I thought I read he was not working right now, but I could be wrong. Just wondering why it was up to his GF whether or not Hailey came by.

Good thought, AAAAND it was talked about if dogs (trained in the long time scent detection) could be used to track MB possibly to see if HER scent could be found heading anywhere.... Of course now it's been so long she's probably come and gone from the house and went soo many places soooo many times... :(

Not sure where Hailey is, hoping she is safe somewhere.

I watch this one news report( NOT RELATED) about how LE asked the community to call if they noticed scratches, bruises on arms and hands of anyone that was new..... Not sure how that would go down. But I guess its better to call than not.

My son lives due east of C City, and he says they've had tons of rain, then ice and now snow since late afternoon yesterday. I'm wondering what C City's weather is like today, and will it hamper any searches?

Saw that... But someone told Billie something different, IMHO. I think someone must have mentioned the dogs turning around on the way to dad's house. She's not pulling it out of thin air, just like I don't believe she's pulling those LD results out of thin air either.

With several agencies involved, I think they're finding different info and telling her different things. Even within each agency, I'm sure there are many people working on the case who could have divulged info to Billie. JMHO.

IIRC, BD said on Nancy Grace (I think the first time she was on) that the dogs traced her scent to CD's house and then to MB's house. If that again was false information by CCPD then they are telling her alot of BS.

If I am feeling this discouraged right now, I sure do feel for BD and Clint, and HD's brother. They all must feel like they are in a very dark hole right now. I pray they can get through this and find HD soon.

Who are the people who are lying to police? I can't get over that, I would not have the nerve.

On Friday, bloodhounds were taken to the six motels in Colorado City. At Western Suites, which is located at 2233 Vine Street and is adjacent to Interstate 20 and near the Dunn home, the dogs picked up on Dunn’s scent in the parking lot, City Manager Pete Kampfer said Tuesday night.

Thanks, and then it was said somewhere (like i can remember where, may even have been a local who went to the motel) that yes there was a camera, but it wasn't pointed towards where the scent was found. But that LE DID go over the tapes just to see if she was seen.
