I'm really amazed....what have MB and her mom done to cause such disgust?? At the beginning of this, MB was being portrayed as a liar and worse! Maybe they're not on the bandwagon to declare BD mother -of-the-year...well, neither am I. To me, MB is a victim in this case, also. She was used by SA to cover up whatever he has done to Hailey. She's also a little girl...and, just like BD with Hailey, her mom wants to protect her.

I would check not at who checked in but who checked out 1 to 2 days before she was last seen.

People who work at the hotel, relatives of people that work at the hotel, people that may park their vehicles at hotel and carpool to work....

Several times when checking into a hotel we have found someone in our room when we open the door. Hotel was apologetic but not racing to see who it was which makes you think they had relatives or employee relatives that go in and watch movies, play games or something. Come to think of it, when I was younger one of my friends mom's worked at a local hotel and we went there and swam, went in rooms, etc. Often there were people who stayed for extended periods and got a discounted rate.

I'm 61 and when I was a teen I did the same.........dad said no bikini, but I had several.
wore it under my clothes and had a 1 piece that he saw in my beach bag........LOL

Yes, it could, depending on how long it was there and how long ago. I must say though, that I think the motel was a false hit. They showed entrance in the parking lot but could not do anything with it. They couldn't trail out of the parking lot, they couldn't trail to a door at the motel. I think the dogs had been taken to multiple places and they were possibly a little frustrated.

I would think it could also be that she was picked up and driven to the motel, then got out and got into another vehicle in the parking lot.

He also said, he didn't remember if she came by. It is on Nancy Grace's show that he said this.

Clint said on Nancy she did NOT come by on Monday, period.

I wonder if Clint's girlfriend when she didn't know if she came by, was referring to the specific time frame. That she did not know if she saw her from Noon - 3pm or whatever. If Hailey stopped by at 11am, the girlfriend might not have a clue what time she was there.

Or maybe the girlfriend took a nap with the baby and didn't feel comfortable saying Hailey hadn't been there...because she could have stopped by while she was sleeping.

Then Clint was able to fill in the blanks and clarify that she wasn't there at all.

I do that all the time. I have to go back and talk to someone else...or look at a picture I took to remember what I did, where I went or who we saw on a particular day. If it wasn't for the stored time/date information on my pictures I would never know when we did anything.

I am surprised at everyone who is saying they should overlook the pot just because a child is missing. really? the law is the law…..or so I thought.

There have been FAR worse things overlooked because the parent of a missing/murdered child had "already been through enough."

My objection actually isn't that they arrested him. If is that if they arrested Clint for a little weed, they shouldn't expect the community to believe that they won't arrest them for the same thing.

I would have a hard time believing cops would "overlook illegal activity" during a search of my home under those circumstances.

The vigil that I am talking about was prior to the big media campaign. There was 750 people from the community... almost half of the town?

Like I said If a child was missing that my daughter was very close with you had better believe my daughter would never ever be photographed or put out into the spotlight.

I'd probably ship her out of state to grandparents or other family members. Who knows, since there is no clue as to who the perpetrator is, I would be fearing for my own daughter's safety.

I have to agree with you. MB could be grieving for her friend and who knows what else has been said around town. People (school kids) can be cruel too and could be bullying her about her being involved, lying, etc. IMO

i know in school a rumor would go around that someone had a weapon and they would search all lockers. maby someone has a letter from Hailey they forgot about that has some kind of answers. JAT

I agree 100% but kids and others may not know what to think and could be cruel. Not saying that is what is happening, but this is humanity and humanity can be cruel even in tragedies.

Again, I lean on this "story" being only SA's story right now. And unfortunately, I am having a hard time seeing past the fact that he was the last one to see her. Add to the comments that Hailey perhaps didn't like SA, that SA lost his job that very morning and didn't say anything about that until a week later, the article saying that there was an event around Christmas that Hailey wanted to move in with her dad, etc. Then the searches 1 mile or so away from where he is staying right now. IMO

Yeah, considering this is a child too and one of the first things you learn about WS is that minors are off limits....I'm kinda shocked about some of the things that have been either said or implied about this girl. We do not even know if she went over to their house that day, she has said she didn't see her and they had no plans.

I hope LE is aware of what SA's job was. He could have hid her in a million different well heads.

Maybe bio dad is not truthful, he could have said she never showed up when actually she did. He seemed to be making good money, his x wife making next to nothing now, so its possible she took him to court for more child support. I am starting to look at bio dad a little closer, we could have over looked something.

They have done nothing wrong. It's a group of "friends" of the mother who are spewing this venom. <modsnip>.

How likely is it that it's just 'coincidence' that H went exactly where (according to dogs) she told SA she was planning to go? IOW! This points to he did NOT "invent" his story and wasn't LYING about anything related to her leaving the house..If she had come back home after she was tracked to MB's the dogs would've been led right back there & that did not happen..In light of all of this it's pretty hard for me to think SA was involved..Unless! He left the home & met up with her later at some other place (hotel?) but there's no evidence of that at all either.
