Good Afternoon posters. This is my first post but have been lurking and reading for about a month. I am the mother of two adult children and have 7 grandkids, so I have much sympathy for the families of Hailey.
While I appreciate the friends of Billie Jean's sticking by their friend, I feel that the family dynamics and some of the family background does play an important role in the disappearance of Hailey. I also live in a small town(pop.2200) and I know how teens can lie to the parents and get by with a lot of it. I was once a teenager myself . I was also a single parent with 2 young children. No man ever stayed at my house overnight if my kids were home. My kids did not meet anyone I was dating at the time until it turned into a long term thing. Then they were taken on outings with us and he would maybe come over for dinner. Never were my children left alone with someone I was dating. And if my children did not like someone I was dating the relationship usually didn't last very long. They came first. I also lived in sec. 8 housing. Out of 48 families in the complex, I and a few of the elderly or handicapped paid rent . They mostly had SS. or SSI, I worked two jobs to support my kids. Most in the complex did not work, so therefore they paid no rent and even got a check to help pay their powerbills.
I appreciate whoever posted the news report on the last thread about Hailey's family dynamics. It sure gave me something to think about . I am not here to argue on who is telling the truth or not in that article, but from what I have read and what I have researched on my own, there is something wrong with this story.
I am not bashing anyone, parents, friends, or extended family, but the way I look at it is, if they can afford to buy pot,or cigarettes or whatever then they don't need any help from me.
I pray that Hailey is safe and hiding somewhere, but after 2 weeks I am beginning to think that isn't going to happen. I hope I haven't broken any rules.
