I want to know why MB's mom first said "she never spent the night there" & then changed it to she "spent the night there one time"..She had to remember it since she's told the story re: she found out they had left the house that "one" night & had been "roaming around the streets"..That's not something she'd forget & obviously she did not. :waitasec:

I thought she said H had never slept at MB's, and when MB slept at H's, they went roaming....?

Anyway, if people in town are lying to police, as police have indicated, I think this is for sure a local crime and not someone swooping into smalltown USA and grabbing a blond cheerleader. And more than one person knows about it, if lying is going on.

I don't think either of her parents saw her since possibly Sunday-did Billie say she saw Hailey Sunday night and was she in her room, going to bed there?

I don't understand why MB's mom would go public with anything negative about H or anyone, what is her point? Just say we did not see her on Monday.

This whole case is based on gossip, since we have not a single fact other than Hailey cannot be found.

I believe the investigation has produced ZERO evidence of anything. I still think they are at square one. I don't know who to blame for her disappearance, but I surely do not believe she is a runaway and staying gone of her own volition.

I think if you are going to move someone into your house with your kids......the kids should know the person, very well. And if for some reason the kids had not been around him before he moved in, that's kind of a red flag too. When you have kids, and you have a serious "other", the two better be crossing paths or something isn't right.

You have a point, I can not relate to her moving someone in because I just wouldn't consider it while my kids are still living in the house, but that's just me.

I think what she said was that Hailey had never spent the night at MB's before, not that MB had never spent the night with Hailey.

The dogs led to places Hailey could have walked to on any day, or even several times a day. The dogs can't tell if the scent they followed was left on the day Hailey disappeared or a day or two before. It's a very small town and the kids walk everywhere they need to go...friends' homes, Dad's house, etc. Dogs did not lead to the motel, they were taken there.

Even LE and city officials have publicly stated that the bloodhound info is incorrect. It was one of their main criticizms of NG's show.

TGI, what do you think of the theory that I posted a few pages back. That IF it's correct what Billie originally said - that the dogs started towards the dad's then turned around? IF - and IF - that's true, then to me that says that the trail they were following was a fresh one, since she obviously had been all the way to her dad's many times. KWIM? :waitasec:

ETA: I know there's alot of speculation about whether or not the dogs trailed Hailey vs were taken to various places (e.g. hotel). But I don't believe Billie is pulling this info out of thin air. Someone - from one of the many branches of LE involved - told her something to that effect. Same with the LD tests... MOO.

That's exactly my point. I don't understand it.
I also remember that Billie's friend here (I keep forgetting her name cz... or something) said that MB "grudgingly" talked to BD after Hailey disappeared. Why? I thought they were best friends. I am not accusing MB of having anything to do with her disappearance I just find it odd.

BBM: That is where the problem lies, the gossip. We really don't have any concrete facts to base anything on. LE is being tight-lipped, probably for a good reason, but others are foaming at the mouth to tell whatever they can whether it is true or not. I'm not trying to single anyone out, but geez, the stuff said about Hailey's friend and her mother is just terrible. And the stuff said about Hailey's mom isn't so nice either. And don't even get me started on the stuff being said about her father, who at this point seems just as devastated as her mother.

The only facts we know are: Hailey is missing and LE is searching for her. We don't know for sure who seen her last or even for a fact what she was wearing when she last seen.

What a farkin' hot mess.

Prayers that Hailey is found safe.

We can list what we don't know much easier, we don't know if she has her i-touch, or exactly what she is wearing, when she was last seen by her parents, if she went to her dad's on Monday, why SA lost/quit his job, how he got Billie to work and then made it to his job unless he left Billie off really early, where he was on Tuesday, what time he got to the house on Monday, or Tuesday for that matter, why brother does not know SA well, why MB's mom said things about H, etc.....

But see here is the thing......we don't know what all has transpired between these people. What if there were fingers being pointed at this "friend" because SA said she was going there? Was there maybe bad blood between them even before this? WE DON'T KNOW, there could be many reasons for the reactions of the friend and her mom......does not mean they had ANYTHING to do with this.

In many cases where there are 2 children...one lives with one parent and the other with the other parent. That way no one person has to pay child support to the other. They are both supporting one child.

As stated by several others, HD had expressed a wish to live with her dad. If DD lived with CD already, then BO could possibly have to pay CD child support. The other option would be that DD would have to live full time with mom.

Do any of the locals know for a fact exactly where DD lives full time?

It's overwhelming! I can't even begin to imagine beng any one of the people being discussed. I think it's cruel and unfair for us to even speculate at this point.

The only thing we do have is statistics to suspect the last one to see her. and that's just not enough. IMO

Just wondering too what the dynamics are here. It's fabulous that CD lives across the street and can be there for his children at any given time. Did CD and BD get along and talk often?

But what I wonder too is what SA thought of this arrangement? I have stepkids and at the beginning of my relationship with my hubby, I had a hard time dealing with his exes, the mothers of his kids. And I don't know if I could have handled living across the street from one of his exes at the beginning of our relationship. Once we had kids of our own, I was in a much better place and felt more secure in our relationship.

Then there is Hailey expressing her desire for her mom and dad to get back together, and/or moving in with her dad. Now for SA, a never been father, young and 25, it may have bothered him.

Now I am not pointing fingers at this point of time but putting it out there as a speculation.

I keep asking myself what I would have done about the vigil if it were my daughters BF. At that age she was highly emotional so I'm not sure I would have let her go. That is a lot of drama and grief for a little girl to handle. IMO

Going back to the story that Hailey was headed to MB's house. IIRC, it had been reported that MB's house is about 4-5 blocks away, max. Below, I've circled a 4-5 block radius from where Hailey was last supposedly seen (given that we don't know MB's address or which way her house is).

ETA: gets awfully close to I-20. I wonder how close MB's house is to that hotel?
