I'm thinking about some of the other cases I have followed and I can't believe someone hasn't ran with the mask stuff just for ratings. NG....ur slipping.

I have never believed for one second "that girl" ran away. I believe that the dogs went to the front door of MB for a reason. I would like to know if that house was searched right away as soon as the dogs hit there. Does anyone know?

I would also like to know if the occupants there were given polygraphs. SA was the last to speak with HD and it seems like the dogs may have corroberated his story. They led half way to CD's house turned around and went to MB's front door. They are saying now that the dogs were taken to the hotel and not lead to the hotel. But, that they did hit there.

I think we need to focus on where the dogs hit... how did they know she was going to her fathers then to MB's???

1) We know she went to MB's (read above).

2) Was she ever at the motel?
Did they contact everyone that was registered there and clear them?
Did the video cover the only entrance to the hotel?

And what clued the le in on her maybe going to that motel? Since, the dogs didn't lead there.

What happened to Hailey after she reached that front door? And who took her to that motel if that hit was good?

I LOVE ANIMALS!

Anyone have any ideas on this one. I have never believed the mother of MB and she may be trying to protect her child but, there is a big difference in protecting your child and putting another child's life in danger. Has she been checked out?

OK, I was trying to read through all the posts before I said anything again, but I am afraid I will forget what I want to say.

I do not believe for one second that Billie has any idea where Hailey is or what, if anything, has happened to her. She is becoming more and more desperate as time goes by.

As far as MB is concerned, I will not badmouth her. She is still a child herself. However, I do agree with other posters here that maybe she does know something.... teenagers are known to blow things (such as how bad they have it) out of proportion. If MB really thought Hailey was unhappy, then could she have helped her (or thought that she was helping her) by covering for her leaving? I have no idea if I am even on the right track here - but if it is something like this, then at least the chances of Hailey being found safe are greatly increased. I would have liked for LE to see if the tracking dogs could pick up a scent of Hailey and MB where the woman spotted them walking.

No matter what the circumstances that lead to Hailey coming home safe, I am holding on to that scenario as hard as I can. As is Billie, and I'm sure, the rest of her family.

I completely understand MB's mom wanting to protect her. But personally (and I can only speak for myself, and what I would have done), if a child was missing, and it was reported that the missing child had said she was coming to MY house - no matter how good of friends that child was with my child - I would have been grilling my child like crazy to see if she had ANY idea of what was going on, I would have been in contact with the missing child's mother to offer any support I could, and under no circumstances would I have tried to in any way badmouth the missing child or her family, or start any type of rumors about them.

As far as Donna Byerley who had so much to say about Hailey's 'volatile home life' and that Hailey lived with her on and off... and whatever else she was spouting in the above article - well I want to know why the reporter took what she said at face value, why he wouldn't attempt to verify anything that she said, or even dig a little to see if she was in any way credible before he made that public. Did he check the credibility of any of his sources in that article? The article was so poorly written that it is hard for me to believe anyone would put much stock in it anyway.

Some of you have given me advice to not get caught up in the rumor mill, and I am really trying, but it is hard when something just reaches out and slaps you in the face like this article did. Again, in MOO, many people are just talking to hear themselves speak....

And the thought crossed my mind also about the whole TES standby issue (which I am sure at least some of you have thought also) - maybe LE truely does have a stong lead and is confident of finding Hailey alive, which is why they let locals search. Lots of people mentioned locals destroying evidence unintentionally while searching, while TES would not. Perhaps LE know that there is no evidence out in the fields to be destroyed. God, I hope this is the case. But I with they would give Billie some hope if it is true.

And of course, I forgot half of what I wanted to say. But my main point is the same as it always has been: Hailey is missing. Getting her home safe is the priority. Billie is beside herself with worry and needs Hailey back home.

I've seen it posted that CD was in jail through December 30, implying that he was in jail during the time HD went missing. However:

Clint Dunn, however, has multiple arrests, starting in 1994 for burglary of a building, a state jail felony. Following that are subsequent arrests in 1998 for possession of marijuana, under 2 ounces, one in March 1999 for driving with a suspended license.

He was arrested again Jan. 30, 2010, by Snyder police for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. And he was arrested at his home Dec. 29, again for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, and a Scurry County warrant.

I was just relistening to the NG interview on 1/4 with the parents.Hailey spent Christmas night with CD and he said she was there Sunday.He never said if it was Sunday night,just Sunday,because he didn't get to finish his sentence.But he did say DD stayed Sunday night with a friend and got back home later in the day Monday,which BD said was 5pm.

But on 1/3 on NG,BD said SA came home from work Monday,which was 8 days after Hailey disappeared and BD didn't say SA lost his job until 1/4 when NG asked her.So if Hailey didn't stay Sunday night at CD's and DD was at his friend's,did BD see Hailey Monday morning before she went to work?I haven't heard that yet.

Thanks CZGTZ....it must be a horrible position to be in. But what do you think about LE saying that some in the family are either lying or changing their stories? Does Billie have any idea what they mean?

We are not taking what was written in that one article at face value, just asking questions about it and linking things to what LE says.

They also may be facing eviction soon, Dad and his girlfriend.
HUD AND section 8 can and a lot of times DO drop you from the programs for any drug convictions. I don't care if it's just 1 joint.

amysmom, I think you have brought up a very very good point about the dogs. You are right, (and I forget it) I think it needs some serious thought. Where did they start the dogs? Are these dogs any good? A member here explained to me a few months ago, that these dogs do not always get the correct or amount of training that they should have.

I assume there were 2 christmas doings....Did anyone take pictures? In my family we always take lots of Christmas pictures. If there was no pictures taken, does the family ever take pictures? Hailey is a cheerleader. I would think there would be pictures. The pictures also need to be looked at. (I remember the horrid ugly face someone had when a picture of her showed up from the vigil)

I think it may be negligent to assume that because HD was well liked and got good grades that it's unlikely that she was troubled or would runaway. I'm not saying I think either of those are TRUE , but I think we have to be careful. We know at the very least that there were social issues with other girls over boys.

I had PERFECT grades in school at HD's age. My teachers loved me, I had tons of friends with little issue, I often got awards for perfect attendance, honor roll, I even got an award from the president and proudly shook his hand ..... with no parent there to witness it. My home life SUCKED. I had a single mom who was never ever there and when she was she was so stressed. She suffered from depression, was manic at times, and at others downright abusive.

I'm not saying that the same is the case here ... but good grades / social / etc. aren't insurance that there isn't SOME kind of trouble brewing beneath the surface.

Something else that has struck me...along the same lines...came from that recent article with all of the local folks chiming in (not always in a flattering light). It was the statement that her teacher made about Hailey telling her in such a strong way (paraphrasing here) how much she loved her.

Note to mods: This is not an attempt to portray myself as an expert, but that sent up a big red flag to me that things were not good at home. My students who do that are the ones who, typically, have lots of other issues going on. They do their best to please their favorite teachers because we are sometimes the one person in their lives who is consistent and who they can depend on to be there for them. I teach in a school with nearly 85% of the kids living below the poverty level -- in a much rougher neighborhood than CCity seems to be -- and (once they realize that they can trust me and that I am not going to abandon them) it is typically my kids who are hurting the most who are my biggest 'helpers'. They are looking for someone to pay attention to them and they want to please. Some teachers find them to be annoying and pesty, but it is only because they desperately want to be loved and they want to be able to trust someone.

Not saying that is the case here...but I feel like it just kind of goes hand in hand with the whole fact that nobody can seem to remember when they last saw or spoke to her, dad has a gf with a new baby, mom has her young bf and works a lot, and she and her brother may or may not have been left to fend for themselves an awful lot.

I'm a single mom, too...so certainly not passing judgment. Just making an observation about student behavior as I have seen it.

Ok, after looking at the photos, I too am a little freaked out. I LOVE Halloween and go over the top. In my spare time, I make all sorts of grotesque props to decorate for Halloween and I love a good horror flick. I don't play dress up. I suppose that's where *I* draw the line. He's an odd one for sure. IMO

Was she one of the ones that was given a poly? Didn't someone mention one was a female? Her siblings are very familiar with LE, there may be stories online about crimes they have committed.

Personally, once I found out who MB was... being from Colorado City, TX.
