"HA is missing, this is likely to be serious, and we are pulling out all the stops to trace her movements on the day in question and subsequently with the hope of finding her as soon as possible."

I agree - and this is exactly how I feel. Thanks for posting it :)

Has anyone seen any video of these press briefings from LE? I ask because I have only seen written accounts, and I have to wonder if cherry-picked statements/quotes are what cause a lot of our confusion. Just the other day a victim in the tragic Arizona shootings was reported both dead and alive at the same time. Just wondering...

I utterly completely agree with you KathrynL!

I think a lot of these statements are being, as you call it, "cherry picked" and than ran as entire complete stories as an absolute.

Have any locals seen the FBI? How many FBI people are there? Are they counting only the retired FBI dude? Are they doing phone consults? Are they directing the investigation? Have they done any interviews?
You really won't see FBI unles its their own CSI crew (they wear FBI jackets). Most FBI investigators just wear suits and keep a very very very low profile.

If any locals are seeing FBI they are "looking" for them - KWIM?

Seems like this is par for the course lately; child goes missing and nothing to suggest foul play?.. must be a run-away.

I think there is too much hypocrisy in this and it's not with a child's sex, or race, but in their age. Seems like if you are over 12 years old (even in JF's case) you are automatically deemed a run away.

The sad realization is, none of these children know basic survival skills. I assume none of them know how to build and live off the land, in seclusion and away from their protectors. They are not old enough to get a job or rent an apartment. For basic communications, they are not even old enough to establish credit to secure them a phone line. So, my grunt with this [and I understand the "process" of LE "work"] the system at some point is going to have to change.

I don't know what that entails but someone here earlier had a nice outline for contacting the neighborhood residents with phone calls/alerts and local channels releasing photos of the missing. Heck, I sure would like to see a lot less violence on my local media news and maybe something I could participate in, like find a missing child, in it's place. Something to make me feel like I am an active member in my community and not just a bystander.

It's gotta give. I dunno when, and I don't know how, all I know that it does.

Back to back lately in the missing children cases (all over the age of 12 years old.)

I am not going to bash LE here because I don't know exactly what they were told or what they know at this point. All I know is confusing information is getting out. :banghead:

One thing though, if true, the family not being truthful is not helping matters.

Also, in an article yesterday it said that there was an argument before Christmas and Hailey wanted to move in with her dad. Was this relayed to LE when Hailey went missing, therefore, why they initially and perhaps still do think she's a runaway?

I wondered if some of those statements in that story were news to LE and they went back to the family to verify some of the things that were said and stories started changing then.

Less moon = more dark.

opposite, full moon very light out.........
BUT it does effect the brain of unstable people just like the high and low tides.
Allot of very bad crimes come into the full moon phase.
Just a bad omen to me. JMOO

How long do you think it would take to process a car? If anything happened to Hailey in the hands of SA, perhaps evidence may be found in that car.

I wonder if there is finger pointing between Mom and Dad? And that is where the problem lays with LE and them?

She says Dad was suppose to be in charge while she was at work and Dad says no...or something like that?? LE can't get a clear picture because of that?

I find it unlikely that Hailey has run away and is now afraid to come out of hiding because of all the media attention. It took about a week before this case hit the airwaves and LE actually started taking it seriously. It's not like an Amber Alert was issued within one hour of Hailey running away and it was on every channel in the country. Hailey had plenty of time to come back home before the story became huge.

Although LE is saying that they think Hailey might be a runaway, I don't think they really believe that. Maybe at the beginning they did, but not now. They would not be devoting this much time and resources to a runaway. Maybe they are saying that because it's the "best" possible scenario or maybe it's a way of speaking to whoever has Hailey through their subconscious.

Maybe Hailey did go with someone willingly but I do believe that she is being held against her will or worst.

so at this point we know the two girls they were looking for have been found...

but we don't even know if they REALLY were with Hailey that day.....

Oh.. and LE is telling all the children at school that she is alive and hiding and they will get in trouble if they keep any information from Law Enforcement.

(((note to self.... If Hailey is, God forbid, found not alive what will he tell them then?... bad move to make such bold statement at this time if you ask me)))

being small town and having to send everything off atleast a month is my guess?

The hoax angle might get more appealing as this goes on.........lol.

maybe that is what DNA from parents is about.
maybe Hailey's DNA in the car in a bad way.......blood?
something not normal?
I wonder about SA? DNA? Fingerprints from his jail time???

This case has been quite interesting for me because I have been on here a couple of years and this LE bashing is unique. Usually we trust them to a fault.

So true.........

Not with the Rangers and the FBI there, quick turn around.

would they take the car to nearest BIG town?????
like I believe our town would use Pittsburgh?????

RSBM: The magic ages to be treated as a runaway seems to be from age 12 to 16 years old. I spent time on the weekend looking at those who are lost in Texas and a fair number of them are listed as runaways ... not missing nor endangered missing but runaways. Am not pointing only at Texas but that was the only state that I looked at. It seems when there is nothing to go on the child is labeled a runaway. Hailey is listed as Missing but would probably have been listed as a runaway if a public campaign had not been attention to the case. This needs to be looked at.

I'm afraid this one is going to end the same way, but you know I just cannot fault LE when the family is not being 100% truthful. I seen a 3. :banghead:

Holding out hope that every statistic I know is wrong this time!
