Sounds to me like the teacher who posted thought Haylie was being molested. Why did the mom move this guy into her home with a young daughter? How old is the mother, and is she some desperate thing who'd go along with and cater to some much younger guy just to have a boyfriend?

All I can say is WOW! I feel so stupid for believing in BD and wasting my prayers on her. I honestly thought she was just <modsnip> and scared about being on NG. I was so wrong!!!!! I work at a county detention facility (jail) and I thought I could spot a con a mile away. Plz no one tell my boss----

I suspected SA right off, too. As a mom I felt pain for what BD was going through UNTIL I found out she was still talking to SA!! That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I did an about face after that. Actually did an about face before that when I had a aha moment and had a gut feeling that they were still talking. When I asked BD friend about it she never answered my question and that told me the answer.

If you asked me about that, I am sorry, I didn't see your question. To my knowledge, Billie is not in contact with him.

There was no party to my knowledge - I talked to her several times that day and evening, and never heard anything 'party-like'. Her family was at her house with her.

I am really heartsick that so many people can really believe Billie could be involved in ANY way with Hailey's disappearance. Or that she would be 'partying.' I really wish that you all could know Billie like I do.

She isn't a bad mother. She is not a drug addict. She is not hiding a dark-side.

Thank you for posting this. I really hope it's true. I really really really do... I'm not convinced yet, but I'm still holding out hope.

As for the supposed New Year's Eve party.... did anyone stop to consider that Billie simply had her family at her home offering support? Does anyone truely think that she would have had a party?

I have asked y'all before to listen to Billie - no one else.

Just MOO, but SA is an idiot.

Said with all due respect because I think you are in a very difficult position (and I have had a family member killed by a family member so I do empathize with how horrifying, confusing, and bewildering the flood of conflicting information can be)...

but, I have been listening to what Billie chooses to say.

The truth is simple, it doesn't change, it doesn't require deciphering.

Having a New Years Eve party seems completely within the realm of possibility. We have seen much odder things done after a loved one was killed, missing, or otherwise unknown.

And I may have missed the answer to my question, I apologize in advance if I missed your answer (I did search for one though), how did Billie respond to Shawn posting that she was his fiance post disappearance? He was referred to as her boyfriend post disappearance by her in her own words.... when did that change?

TIA

I would...not sure about anyone else, but yes, I would.

@redcat. I doubt the SA's friends are going to interfere with a search. For what purpose and at what expense. Do you really think anyone wants to be involved in a coverup?

I don't know why people have a hard time believing a mother would kill their kid and do something even more shocking, have sex with them. Mothers do horrible things to their children all the time. And women do all kinds of sick stuff to please their significant other.

And see cz, that is where the problem is maybe she is not telling you everything, because she said it herself last night on NG.

This may be nothing but it's bothering me. On the FB page the other day there was a discussion about how SA had shown up for work, clocked in, got a soda and just left. This was during the SA got in an arguement and was fired timeframe. Not many people put much faith in the FB statement as it was being reported that SA was fired. We now know the FB statement was the truth.
Around the same time that was posted, someone else was posting on the FB page about hunters in the area. Supposedly SA's family owns a lot of land and allow hunters on this land. Some of these hunters have cameras set up to record wildlife coming and going. After the time that Hailey disappeared, the hunters who hunt on this land and had cameras all reported that someone had stolen the media cards out of their cameras. They had left the cameras, but any images that were taken are now gone. IIRC, no searches have been done on this land as it is private property.
Like I said, it may be nothing...but since the SA job info was the truth you never know.

I would think that is EXTREMELY important! I wonder if this has been reported to LE and if it hasn't it should! I think that just might be a good place to start searching!

Billie said herslef last night on NG that she has texted him and that they have communicated but not much.

The players may be reading there and try to move evidence, it would not be the first time something like that has happened.

I would tend to agree. This is why it is so important though to be getting people signed in and verifying ID's, so there is a record of who searched. I doubt seriously they would go and move her, there aren't many friends that would go that far, kwim?

Here's a thread for SAR only: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5997987"]TX SAR information for HAILEY DUNN - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

If this idea takes off, we'll discuss making a sub forum in the future.

Hope it helps! :grouphug:

Redcat -

I can tell you that the searches I have volunteered for with TES, they have always asked us not to discuss specific search locations during an on going investigation.

Not sure if it was just the few that I went on or standard...but FWIW...I think it's a good idea to not disclose that information "publicly" at this time.

I would like to see these affidavits. I for one don't believe much of what the media has misconstrued. I am still trying to decipher the release of info over the last two weeks from le. That being said, what the h*** are they up to now.

Hmm, maybe there should be a stakeout overnight at these locations to see if anyone shows up!

  • #337
Billie said last night she was in touch with SA by text a little bit...more records to examine...

I think we CAN NOT all agree that LE messed up. I certainly never stated that belief anywhere. I do think you are entitled to your opinion but don't speak for me!

LE can only work with they are given.
When the people reporting someone missing don't give 100% accurate information, for any reason, it hampers the investigation before it can get started. I too said early on there was ample reason to consider she was possibly a runaway given the initial reports. Then add mom *possibly* wasn't being 100% honest, she statistically probably was a teen who lied about an overnight, no clear cut crime scene, separated parents, new partners, new babies, online access to social networking, boyfriends of her own. Odds were she would show up after lying about where she was.

From where I sit, and I am positive in the eyes of 1000's of other parents with missing teens, the resources invested in this case speak for themselves.

BBM. I'll never figure it out, but that's what friends and family think they should do in cases like this. We see it over and over. Go figure.

My favorite quote from CSI:

A friend will help you move a couch. A good friend will help you move a body.
