I thought that was such a strange statement too when she said it, but chalked it up to her being in shock. She did have tears in the first interviews I saw, and I could tell she had been crying. I think it is strange that they would tell the authorities in the interrogation that they bought illegal drugs at that time. I have suspected that someone else is involved besides the two of them, and wonder if the above statement was made, like you say, directly to someone. Could it be that they know what happened and who took her, but it isn't them that actually harmed her, but if they tell it will implicate them in some other crime/crimes? This is all so horrible

We also don't know how the drug thing went down. They were most likely seperated during the interviews. They had no clue LE knew that they withdrew money IMO. Either they lie and each have their own story or they tell the truth about something. I'm sure LE told them it wouldn't be used against them in the sense of drug related charges. I also think if someone were involved they would be playing the blame game. Anything is possible though for sure. Yes, the entire situation is horrible I agree.

I don't know what to believe about this case anymore, but I DO know this - if my daughter was missing - even if I believed she had run away - I WOULD NOT have a New Year's Eve party.

My celebration would just have to wait until she was back home safe & sound.

I just want to say that I am furious right now and take back what I said about my admiration and respect for BD. It flew out the window. I am so sorry for Hailey, her brother and everyone that LOVES Hailey. May God help bring her home.

I was trying to post about this last night and my computer was acting up. Someone days ago suggested that SA was controlling BD. He made light of the party. Maybe he convinced or "forced" BD to do it suggesting they needed the support of friends at that time. You would think that LE must have interviewed those who were there, we hope!

JMO, but I think there was enough LE around that SA would have had a hard time forcing BD to have a party if she didn't want to.....

I don't understand this at all. If Adkins admissions, the cell phone pings and everythng else in this article is true then why was LE leaning back towards the runaway theory as early as 2 days ago??? They specifically said they thought she was in hiding and didn't want to be found. They changed their tune on Monday night but the information in this article didn't just show up on Monday..

As I said before, even if SA did something to Hailey during the day on that Monday, while Billie was at work...there is no way, in my mind, that she has not known about it for most of this time, probably from that very night...AND there were threats from this guy previously, against her daughter and herself, and she moves him right in. Makes Hailey be the one to have deal with it, instead of acting like a parent.

I had better not her 20/20 vision or hindsight about this...she knew exactly what he was.

If what we are hearing is true about BD, and we have all been duped, then she should be held accountable and punished. Is it possible though, as someone on here suggest early on, that she could be an abused "partner". This fact that he admitted to threatening both of our lives, and then she allows him to move in there, and that we know HD told friends she was afraid of him as recently as a few weeks ago, lends credence to the fact BD is terrified of him all of this time. Could he be controlling BD with drugs and threats? I hope the truth comes out soon, and most of all, I hope Hailey is alive and safe somewhere. Poor Clint and DD.

So where was SA's phone pinging at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning, thats the 64,000 dollar question.

If SA took the 208 to CC and got on 20 heading to Big Spring, he might have been out of the CC cell phone tower range by 6:57.

Ok, a think a couple of things merit a visit.

Movie buffs......
Where did Michael Myers do his killing in the Halloween movies?

Locals, or good web researchers.....
Have there ever been any graphic horrible cases in the area/county? Some tragic or sensationalized case? Even old?

The first movie takes place in a fictional town in IL (Haddonfield). Myers (at 6 years old) kills his older sister with a kitchen knife. He goes into a psych unit and escapes at 21 years old (ironically it seems the same age it seems that SA got into this movie) ???? Once he escapes he goes after a teenager named Laurie. In the process he kills several other teens, but Laurie always manages to escape.
The teens in the movie are very much made out to be "bad" kids - into sex and drugs. (other than Laurie who is portrayed as the chaste, good girl)

I have to say that I do not think Billie is involved in the disappearance of her
daughter, Hailey.

I don't know the circumstances of her relationship with SA. I don't know if she knew about the masks and if she knew about the videos under the bed. I don't know. And I don't care.
I don't know if she uses drugs hard time. I don't know if she uses drugs on occasion. Don't know. Don't care.
I don't know and don't care about the ins and outs of her nursing license.
She has a job with the same employer.

Do I believe there was a big old New Year's Eve party at her house, when Hailey is missing? No, I don't. Maybe family and a couple of friends were over. Maybe SA invited friends in.

I care about her commitment to Hailey.
I care about her facing NG and answering questions on national tv, questions she didn't have to answer. She could have taken an easier way than facing up to the steel eyes and demeanor of NG.
I care that she faces intense public scrutiny and still tells all, 'paraphasing, that she was told she failed the lie detector test.

IMHO, Hailey was probably killed at the hands of SA,
just based on his time line and the many cases where mom's bf or step father have been guilty.

Just about to head out to work on my birthday here but want to make a quick note. In all of these "Missing Child" Investigations that the people involved aren't forthcoming, it always seems odd to me. Outside the cellphone tower, everything else is circumstantial. Im saying my prayers today that "All" of our lost people are found with Christ's grace.... Amen

She may be rationalizing. You know like Clinton not having sex with that woman? She could be seperating prescription drug abuse from illegal drug abuse. It's part of what addiction does to one's brain...lies become "truths". I'm not saying for sure that the drugs mentioned in the article were necessarily for her or not, but IF drugs are the problem, she is probably afraid that if she admitted it on national Tv people won't listen to her and won't keep looking for Hailey.

Just to be fair to Billie....the $140.00 may have been taken out at the ATM to pay for her perscriptions for the "pain medicine" needed for her tooth ache.

Then the news media put their spin on the facts and said "they said it was used to buy drugs." Thus, making the public think that it was used to buy illegal drugs. I feel confident that the LE's know if they picked up a perscription from a drugstore that evening! There would definitely be a paper trail!

A mother of two teenagers interested in the same activities and even though her daughter was frightened of the boyfriend and threatened them,she still kept him in thier lives.This last year this child has lived in various homes and now this,I have no sympathy for parents when children don't come first.

BD had a Husband and the Father of her children living across the street if she was afraid of this man all she had to do was walk across the street, call 911, tell co-workers. When the domestic 911 call was made due to SA threatening their lives, she had an "out" right there but she chose to put herself and her children directly into the path of harm. BD as a former nurse knows what kind of resources are available for domestic abuse victims more so than anyone else would. JMO.

That is possible, but generic Vicodin is pretty cheap I think. I'd imagine it would have to be a non generic pain medication to cost that much (unless some antibiotics were included in the prescription, which would make sense if her tooth was abscessing).

I'm also don't understand any of this either, not for lack of trying, though. Forgive me if this has been asked and answered already, but what time was this officially filed in a warrant? If this all was known early in the investigation, I don't understand the actions of most of the people involved.
