This is kind of my fear.
If crack is the drug of choice in Synder .... $140 in crack isn't going to get two people with a habit very far.
There are dealers out there that will take a trade... even for an evening. A car, a child ..... :sick:

Without going into too much detail I was once at the house of someone who sold crack (he did not do it and I was under the impression prior to that night that he was only selling pot). But a woman showed up with a small amount of money and offered her very small child as collateral to prove she would "come back" with the rest of the cash. :sick:

That is so sick. But I'm sure it happens more than we care to know. People can be so evil.

I still trust Cz if not BD. She said wait, don't rush to judgement (which is hard not to do) but she has a point. I did think there is a slight possiblity that it was nothing more than family and friends getting together to pray and offer support and HOPE to BD. I hope that is true.

I hope that's true too. We all deal with grief differently. And I remember that Somer Thompson's mother was scrutinized by a lot of people here and it turned out she was completely innocent. I hate to jump to any conclusions so early with so little to go on.

There was no party to my knowledge - I talked to her several times that day and evening, and never heard anything 'party-like'. Her family was at her house with her.

I am really heartsick that so many people can really believe Billie could be involved in ANY way with Hailey's disappearance. Or that she would be 'partying.' I really wish that you all could know Billie like I do.

She isn't a bad mother. She is not a drug addict. She is not hiding a dark-side.

Your desperation and hurt comes through loud and clear in your posts. I am sorry for you, and hope the faith you have in BD is justified. I do know that media does this all the time. It is not surprising to me that if, as you say, family was with her, you can verify from speaking to her more than once that evening that there was no partying going on, for them to say that was what it was. Hopefully, when the TRUTH comes out, BD will be cleared, but you must understand why so many are doubting her now, after what has been released to the public. I encourage you to stay connected here, and not let the negative posts keep you away. I value your opinions.

Saturday Dec 25

- Night - Hailey spends the night with her father, Clint Dunn, at his home "across the field" from Hailey's home with her mother, Billie Dunn.


Sunday Dec 26

- Hailey is at her father's home until an unknown time.


Monday Dec 27

- Morning - Hailey's mother's live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, goes to work, is fired, and then goes to his mother's home. Later, LE contacts his employer, who says Shawn is a good employee and was not fired.

- 6:10am - Shawn leaves his job. He tells LE went right to his mother's home in Big Spring. Cell phone records indicate Shawn's cell contacted towers in Scurry County from 6:35am. until 6:56am.

- 6:20am - Billie leaves for work. LE says her cell contacted the same cell tower as Shawn's during the same timeframe.

- 12 noon - Neighbor sees Hailey in her back yard, talking on the phone.

- 3pm - Shawn returns home.

- 3:15pm - Hailey tells Shawn that she is going to her father’s, then to her friend, MB, home for the night. LE says Hailey left without any personal items, and never made it to her father's or friend's homes.

- 4pm - Hailey’s brother D comes home. He pounds on the front door for 5 minutes, and no one answers. He then goes in through a window, where he sees Shawn in a hallway with a “deer in the headlights look.”

– 6:20pm - Billie and Shawn make two ATM cash withdrawals of cash totaling $140. They later tell LE the money was for drugs.

- 9pm - Hailey's brother, D, left the house at 9 p.m. At that time, Hailey was playing one of his video games in the living room. D says he'd expect her to play until about midnight.


Tuesday Dec 28

- Lunch time - Billie calls Hailey's brother, D, and tells him to text Hailey and tell her to go home.

- Unknown time, after lunch time - When Billie comes home from work - Billie checks several places, then has a co-worker drive her to the PD, where she reports Hailey missing.


Wednesday Dec 29

– Billie goes to take a polygraph, but was found to be “under the influence of narcotics,” and the poly was cancelled.

– Shawn refuses to take two polys.


Thursday Dec 30

- Billie takes a poly. LE says there was “deception indicated.” Afterwards LE asks Billie to explain “why she failed the examination.” She's unable to, and walks out.

- Shawn agrees to take a poly. He gives inconsistent information, gives a positive reaction to knowing Hailey's whereabouts, then walks out. LE says he failed the poly, particularly concerning Hailey's whereabouts.


Friday Dec 31

- Night - – Billie and Shawn hold a New Year’s Eve party at their home for "a number of friends". Shawn says they just had a few friends over to the house to have drinks.

Okay here's what Billie said about her phone that day on NG Jan. 3rd show:

DUNN: There were some people came forward, a neighbor saw her around lunchtime on Tuesday out in my backyard talking on the cell phone.

GRACE: Talking on what cell phone?

DUNN: I mean Monday, I`m sorry.

GRACE: Talking on what cell phone?

DUNN: On my cell phone.

GRACE: Now I thought you were at work. Why was your cell phone at home?

DUNN: Because I left it there for my children


But, the phone was pinging in a different county, I'm so confused. Is this one of Billie's "inconsistencies" or do I have the days mixed up?

I suspect if this ends up in a court of law, and if BD has a good lawyer, there will be an expert that will show how that ping could have been wrong or misleading, and that HD could have been on the phone at her residence. Just my opinion.

Wow... after reading the article, I have been thrown for a loop!

Now I am learning toward the theory that something happened the night before or the early am and HD (or her body) was removed from the home by SA (and possibly BD) that morning.

Maybe BD did not know about it (HD was in the trunk or covered in the truck bed-- not sure if they had a sedan or a p/u truck). If this were the case, the neighbor who said he saw HD in her backyard at noon was mistaken.

When CD knocked on the door in the afternoon of the day HD went missing (or was it Hailey's brother D who did this?), and then entered the home in the back, and saw SA with the "deer-in-the-headlights" look, maybe clean-up/damage control was going on. It disturbs me about the stuff under the bed pertaining to serial killers, etc. It disturbs me that BD was involved in this with SA.

It amazes me what some women will do to stay with a man -- such as ignoring threats and violence and involving themselves in bizarre sexual fantasies. Thank God my late husband was a good and kind man who helped people for a living and never wished any one harm. He would not have that kind of stuff in our house (nor would I)-- he always said that if you think about that stuff, "you invite it in and the negative that comes with it." I suspect that, in her desire to have a man in her life, BD may have accepted SA's "dark side" and the activities that went with it, including the drugs.

I pray that HD is still alive, but I suspect otherwise. I continue to hope her mother is not involved in anything regarding HD's disappearance, starts being truthful to the authorities and continues to gain clarity regarding SA.

Just want to throw this out there: IF Hailey had been killed in that house, there would more than likely have been some kind of evidence there, and I don't think that would have gone unnoticed in the searches. It's pretty hard to murder someone and not leave some kind of evidence, unless she was choked or smothered. Even then, there are usually signs of a struggle. And as far as I can tell, they are not convinced that Hailey is dead. She very well could be somewhere hiding out and too scared to even contact her mother (esp. if Billie is into this weird stuff with SA.)
I'm still trying hard to believe Billie is not involved, but from reading everything up to this point, it sounds like LE is all but declaring both of them suspects. It's not looking good.
I truly hope and pray that Hailey will be found, but I am afraid that it's going to be bad news. And with the release of this new information, I think there will be an arrest pretty soon.... maybe more than one.

Just getting on here after reading the news last night...had to have time to think everything out. I know a lot of you will not like what I have to say...IMO...most of the things listed in the requests can be explained away easily. Just had DH read the requests for search warrants...he said it was very rambling and disconnected (he has worked more murder investigations than you can imagine). He said nothing in there indicates murder. He also advised me you can't put a lot of stock into what is listed there because most often LE stretches the info to be able to obtain warrants and it's often only a minor thing that is made bigger. Trust me, we are a big pro LE family, but he's said this whole thing has been messed up from the start. Please don't jump the gun and throw BD under the bus yet. Drugs? yes Stupid? yes Murder? the jury is still out...........all the above is IMO.

Good question! I haven't been able to figure out any likely reason for doing that. I'm sure he had one, but what? Did he have something to go finish and just didn't want to face people at work afterward? IDK, because he could have called in late. You would think that he would know that not being at work for any reason would be a HUGE red flag to LE..so he must of had a good reason, but dang if I can figure it out!

Yesterday a local said there is no night shift where Shawn worked, so what time did his shift start? I understand SA & BD shared a vehicle so was BD waiting in the car while he terminated his employment?

It's possible Shawn intended to go on the run and that's why he "quit" his job but he was talked out of it by his mother or BD.

No one observed any defensive marks, cuts, or scratches on either SA’s or BD's body after Hailey was reported missing and none of BD’s neighbors said they heard anyone fighting or arguing.

LE should already have that information. However, locals could give it a shot at guessing, by calling local providers to see who owns which tower, and who shares with who, kwim?

Then the news media put their spin on the facts and said "they said it was used to buy drugs." Thus, making the public think that it was used to buy illegal drugs. I feel confident that the LE's know if they picked up a perscription from a drugstore that evening! There would definitely be a paper trail!

If that was the case (that it was medications) LE would not have listed it as "drugs" it would have said "prescriptions" or "medications".

This case has me to the point for the past two days where I don't really want to open the browser on the forum for fear I am going to find those dreaded words "found deceased". Hailey dear girl I am still hoping you hitched a ride somehow out of town.

I think this is important------ > SA went back to the house at 6:35... I just realized that. That's why the emphasis that Hailey was reportedly alone: records are showing SA was probably there as well. Billie was gone to work - left at 6:20. Even the affidavit says that.

Not sure if this is helpful, but I transcribed the first section below from the video with the reporter speaking, which is slightly different from the text in the print article (starting about 2:17).

Starting about 3:00 in the video, they show a snapshot of the affidavit. I tried my best to transcribe it (some text was a little fuzzy), so review and confirmation would be good.

There is a Verizon tower that is north of Hailey’s house, which may be the one referred to in the affidavit, so I included the info for that tower below. If you go to the link and put in the address, you can generate a report that shows the cell towers.

Thank you Fraudqueen, and please thank your husband for his comments. It is good to hear that we are all not crazy, that mistakes were undoubtedly made in this investigation. It is great to hear an LE professional's take on this, especially someone with experience in murder investigation. I look forward to more insight from you and your husband re: this case.

I really want to read the entire search warrants myself, without a "media spin" on it --- has anyone linked the actual documents yet?

I'm still now sure who did what to whom here, and I am not ready to point fingers at anyone -- however it seems SA was the LAST PERSON TO SEE HAILEY. The last person to see the missing child is USUALLY the first person seen as a POI. So I guess that is where I'm leaning.

But as for some of the "shocking" information from last night, here's my .02 cents:

* SA threatened the lives of BD and HD in early 2010. This isn't a good sign.

* SA & BD had a fascination with horror and crime. Well, I like horror movies, and I read a lot of true crime. You'll find a few boxes in my closet full of true crime books, some about people killing their own family members. *gasp!* Is that really so damning?

* Party on New Year's Eve -- who chose to use the word "party"? It stands to reason that friends and family would stop by to offer support and comfort, maybe even have a couple of drinks. Doesn't mean it was a "party"....

*Walking out of poly's -- not a good sign.

*Purchasing drugs -- I assume they were illegal drugs, otherwise it would seem the wording would be "went to Walmart pharmacy to buy prescriptions"... so that isn't a good sign.

I don't know what to make about cell pings because I don't really understand how those things work. But if SA had BD's cell phone (she already said she leaves it at the house b/c the family uses it) then I'm not sure the pings mean a lot. But correct me if I'm wrong.

I HOPE that with some of this new information, LE has a direction to move toward. It seems that thus far there's been a lot of wheels spinning and double talk. I hope that there is a lot more going on that LE is not making public and that Hailey is found, like, now.
