One thing I'm confused about re: the timeline by BeanE (thank you!!!!!) and the link to the news station that got the affidavits. Did HD's brother see her on the 27th at night, playing the video game, or was that the night before?

When I read the quotes from the affidavits, I was under the impression that he saw her playing the video game "the night before she went missing". But reading the timeline, it appears that he saw her playing the video game AFTER having to get into the house through the window and the whole "SA deer in headlights" thing. So I'm confused. Which is it? I assumed the "deer in the headlights" would mean HD was already harmed, presumably by SA, and he was "caught" trying to hide something. But, if HD is still alive and later seen playing video games, what does the "deer in the headlights" look have to do with anything?? Anyone smell what I'm steppin' in here? :D

This "deer in the headlights" look could mean something... or nothing. Teens tend to exaggerate sometimes. SA could possibly have just been surprised to see DD walk in, not expecting him at that time. Then again... maybe there's more to it, we just don't know. HOWEVER.... if DD had caught SA cleaning up evidence, I believe all this tippy-toeing around by LE would not have been going on for two weeks... the truth would have come out sooner. DD would have told LE, or at the very least gone straight to his dad and told him.
JMO, and subject to change at any time.

I think this is important------ > SA went back to the house at 6:35... I just realized that. That's why the emphasis that Hailey was reportedly alone: records are showing SA was probably there as well. Billie was gone to work - left at 6:20. Even the affidavit says that.

BBM

Please forgive if I am not making sense I have been up for nearly 30 hours...lol
he left work at 6:30 he pings on a specific tower between 6:35 and 6:56

would he ping on that same tower for 21 minutes of the ride back to CCity?

I thought that was such a strange statement too when she said it, but chalked it up to her being in shock. She did have tears in the first interviews I saw, and I could tell she had been crying. I think it is strange that they would tell the authorities in the interrogation that they bought illegal drugs at that time. I have suspected that someone else is involved besides the two of them, and wonder if the above statement was made, like you say, directly to someone. Could it be that they know what happened and who took her, but it isn't them that actually harmed her, but if they tell it will implicate them in some other crime/crimes? This is all so horrible :(

bbm

Remember, they needed to give as many truthful answers as possible, so this is one they could afford to be honest about. And LE had already stressed that they weren't interested in any other illegal activities - just about questions that would lead them to Hailey.

Just want to throw this out there: IF Hailey had been killed in that house, there would more than likely have been some kind of evidence there, and I don't think that would have gone unnoticed in the searches. It's pretty hard to murder someone and not leave some kind of evidence, unless she was choked or smothered. Even then, there are usually signs of a struggle. And as far as I can tell, they are not convinced that Hailey is dead.

I'm not convinced that she's dead either. Though it's a REALLY good possibility.
I DO NOT think she's just "hiding under a rock someplace" as a runaway.
If she is still alive she is either being held somewhere .... has been "given" to someone (as payment? trade? FOR payment?)

Sunday 26 December:
DD leaves house at 9pm. Haleigh is playing the xbox

(((thanks Beans!!!)))

That's what I thought I read in the affidavits. If that truly is the case, my previous post can be ignored. :)

Okay, so this means that there were witnesses to the fact the Hailey was not staying at her friend's house. DD, for sure-- where was BD and SA that evening?

  • #729
I wonder why BD keeps saying DD arrived at the house at 5pm,instead of 4pm,that is really important and I'm sure her son would tell her if he had to beat on the door and climb in the window.I wonder why she's trying to throw it off an hour.Trying to make him out to be a liar?

Thank goodness for an edit button,I type too fast. :)

omgosh I was only gone long enough to sleep and go to work, and I have missed a ton. I'm scared to go back and read, the little bit I am seeing :(

I really want to read the entire search warrants myself, without a "media spin" on it --- has anyone linked the actual documents yet?

I'm still now sure who did what to whom here, and I am not ready to point fingers at anyone -- however it seems SA was the LAST PERSON TO SEE HAILEY. The last person to see the missing child is USUALLY the first person seen as a POI. So I guess that is where I'm leaning.

But as for some of the "shocking" information from last night, here's my .02 cents:

* SA threatened the lives of BD and HD in early 2010. This isn't a good sign.

* SA & BD had a fascination with horror and crime. Well, I like horror movies, and I read a lot of true crime. You'll find a few boxes in my closet full of true crime books, some about people killing their own family members. *gasp!* Is that really so damning?

* Party on New Year's Eve -- who chose to use the word "party"? It stands to reason that friends and family would stop by to offer support and comfort, maybe even have a couple of drinks. Doesn't mean it was a "party"....

*Walking out of poly's -- not a good sign.

*Purchasing drugs -- I assume they were illegal drugs, otherwise it would seem the wording would be "went to Walmart pharmacy to buy prescriptions"... so that isn't a good sign.

I don't know what to make about cell pings because I don't really understand how those things work. But if SA had BD's cell phone (she already said she leaves it at the house b/c the family uses it) then I'm not sure the pings mean a lot. But correct me if I'm wrong.

I HOPE that with some of this new information, LE has a direction to move toward. It seems that thus far there's been a lot of wheels spinning and double talk. I hope that there is a lot more going on that LE is not making public and that Hailey is found, like, now.

I still don't think this points to BD as being involved with the disappearance of Hailey. It could mean that she was on drugs that night which could mean that her memory of events is cloudy, hence failing the LDT. Also, it means that the chances increase the SA could harm Hailey with BD in the house and BD not knowing anything (or at least, all) of what was going on at the time.

Before all of this FOIA stuff, Billie was off my radar. Now she's in the radar but I'm still not convinced, as I can see that none of this implicates her as much as it does SA-- especially the part about DD coming home and finding SA there. Billie was at work.

The affidavits say he left work at 6:10.

On the night before Hailey’s disappearance, her 16-year-old brother, indicated that when he left the house at 9 p.m., Hailey was playing one of his video games in the living room in the house. Based on her skill level with the game,

If anyone finds a link to where we can read the whole affidavits ourselves, please let us know. I hate not having the actual document in front of my own eyes so I can see EXACTLY how it's all worded. I don't trust the media spin.

This may be nothing but it's bothering me. On the FB page the other day there was a discussion about how SA had shown up for work, clocked in, got a soda and just left. This was during the SA got in an arguement and was fired timeframe. Not many people put much faith in the FB statement as it was being reported that SA was fired. We now know the FB statement was the truth.
Around the same time that was posted, someone else was posting on the FB page about hunters in the area. Supposedly SA's family owns a lot of land and allow hunters on this land. Some of these hunters have cameras set up to record wildlife coming and going. After the time that Hailey disappeared, the hunters who hunt on this land and had cameras all reported that someone had stolen the media cards out of their cameras. They had left the cameras, but any images that were taken are now gone. IIRC, no searches have been done on this land as it is private property.

Like I said, it may be nothing...but since the SA job info was the truth you never know.

IMO, This could be huge. I just wanted it repeated since it was posted so early and I didn't want it overlooked.

.......
======
Starting about 3:00 (shows snapshot of affidavit on the screen)

Records and interviews of witnesses indicate Bilie DUNN left the residence in Colorado City, Texas enroute to her job in Snyder, Texas at approximately 6:20a.m. According to Verizon Cellular Tower records a person at 1804 Chestnut would utilize or ping Tower 714 on the northern coverage area transmitter when using a Verizon cell phone, which is the same tower that ADKINS was using from 6:35AM until 6:56AM. According to all reports, Hailey DUNN would have been alone in the residence during this time period.

Sorry for quoting cloudajo's post yet again, but read what this says -- the tower that SA was using is the same one that would be pinged if someone were at 1804 Chestnut.

Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding what this is saying - I'm going off of 3-4 hrs of sleep after this news last night. But this is why it's important to go to the source and not some else paraphrasing.

Also, are they using the 27th as the day she disappeared or the 28th? Technically she could have diappeared on the 27th, even though she wasn't reported missing until the 28th because her family assumed she was spending the night at a friend's house.

Just getting on here after reading the news last night...had to have time to think everything out. I know a lot of you will not like what I have to say...IMO...most of the things listed in the requests can be explained away easily. Just had DH read the requests for search warrants...he said it was very rambling and disconnected (he has worked more murder investigations than you can imagine). He said nothing in there indicates murder. He also advised me you can't put a lot of stock into what is listed there because most often LE stretches the info to be able to obtain warrants and it's often only a minor thing that is made bigger. Trust me, we are a big pro LE family, but he's said this whole thing has been messed up from the start. Please don't jump the gun and throw BD under the bus yet. Drugs? yes Stupid? yes Murder? the jury is still out...........all the above is IMO.

LE usually makes the SW's very broad, so that it will cover anything they MIGHT find. I agree that there isn't evidence of murder... but REQUESTS for SW's do not = evidence they actually have found... and we do not know everything they did find. Obviously tests would have to be conducted on some things, so those results will not be known at this point.
I'm certainly not rushing to judgement, because things are just now coming to the surface and they have probably just begun to piece it all together.
