Disagree and respectfully ask if you are one of our professional posters? (new here and can't remember where to find that info)
I think some people are just trying to give BD an out. Not me, I hold her responsible for everything she has chosen.

Is this the same area that the trap/game camera's are missing their SD cards?

Locals have still not verified that LE's know about the stolen cards!!!UGH

IMO...a body should not be reduced to bones in two weeks! Does anyone know of that is possible?

Dear God...Please Bring Hailey Home Alive!!!!

I think she's nervous and easily intimidated. I think she has lied about the drug use so that part of this has made her extremely uncomfortable when answering questions. She also seems like a naturally shy person so to be on national television and to be grilled by NG nightly is probaly beyond difficult for her. I think she hears the question and she knows what she wants to say but gets flustered and nervous and it doesn't come out as planned. I think she may have a drug problem but I don't think she killed Hailey. I don't think she helped Shawn or is covering for Shawn either. I think he did this on his own. jmo

I think she's lied about much more than the drug use. The "true crime" printouts being HER hobby doesn't ring true to me either as this point. I think there is a lot she's trying to cover for, at least on television, but I only hope that she's been giving true and honest answers to LE about her and SA's activities in the effort to find her daughter.

But if she really was doing that in the beginning, this case would have been much further ahead at this point IMO.

OMG... that's near one of the map locations here - can't recall which one, though - I believe one of SA's relatives... :(

all within 2.5 miles

Absolutely. For one, he certainly doesn't seem the praying type of guy (IMO). Two - if he's really concerned then he needs to cooperate with LE. As far as I know he's not talking to them or BD. That says a lot right there!

Mel

Who does someone like SA pray to?

I wish this would have been a video. I would pay to see it.

BD lost her LVN license in November, 2008. It was permanently revoked and this information can be found on the Texas State licensing site. I did not keep a link.

I think it might have been night before last, Nancy Grace asked BD if she was a nurse. BD answered no, she was a secretary at the hospital. It should be on the transcript, but this is IIRC since I do not recall which show it was.

I agree that she might be a unit secretary because of her working hours being the same as some nurses. All unit secretaries have to be versed in medical terms as well as pharmacy names for drugs. It is an exacting job from what I hear.

I also agree with you about the 'Scott Peterson' look. I actually thought that about SA the very first time I saw a pic of him and then on TV.

MOO

Permanently revoked??? As in she cannot get it back??
I recall the friend saying her license was revoked due to NSF check. So seems to me if that were true, she could have sent a money order to cover the check and the license would be reinstated. (I don't know their rules.)
IF she had sent in the license renewal app soon enough, so that the license did not expire before the check was bounced, then this probably would have been very simple to correct. IF they did not notify her of the bounced check before the license expired, that's a problem, but STILL... I think she could have paid a fine along with the fee and got the license reinstated... IF it was only due to a bounced check. I'm thinking there is more to this story... it doesn't sound quite reasonable to me.
I used to be a hairdresser years ago, had to have my license renewed every year. I recall that if your license expired for any reason, you had 2 years to apply for a renewal and had to pay a small fee for reinstatement... IIRC, it was $25... and the state board was just about as strict as the nursing board was. That's about the first thing the state inspectors look at... licenses. You cannot even work as a nurse's aide in Texas without a certification, which requires taking a class and passing a written and a practical exam issued by state examiners.
For something as important as a nursing license... I would think a person would be required to send a money order, due to the time it takes for a check to clear. I know you can use a credit or debit card and renew them online, but without a computer, she should have got a money order, or made sure there was enough money in the bank to cover it.

With the current weather in West Texas lately a body that has only been down a couple of weeks would be fairly well preserved. It has been pretty cold and that would delay decomp. I am not a professional in that field, but it seems to make sense IMO.

Reading comprehension 101, what does the acronym MOO mean to you?

This means My Own Opinion...If we say something about the family (they are not to be sleuthed!) You have to say MOO or IMHO...In My Humble Opinion...that way the things you say will not be taken as FACTS in the case.

Hope this explains it for you!

Speaking of the printouts, I posted last night asking what could be the significance of having printouts only from Sept - Oct regarding this topic... if it's an ongoing hobby.

A possible thought that crossed my mind (I'm still undecided here about Billie's knowledge of what happened - I don't believe she hurt Hailey): I wonder if she heard SA and friends talking about not just MM stuff but also true crime stuff. Maybe they were planning something or commenting on how they would like to do something like 'so-and-so' - because I do believe they are very familiar with true crime, fictional crime, etc.

I think she was trying to learn so she could converse with them about it or at least know what they were talking about. I do not believe it is an ongoing hobby - just a tool she used for a brief period. She learned what she wanted and didn't need to research anymore. MOO

I am so far behind. I haven't been able to log on since Wednesday and I don't have cable so didn't see Nancy Grace. I saw the references to BD having a learning disability and her behavior on the show and I can say from personal experience that someone under the influence of certain medications can demonstrate similar behaviors. My ex abuses Rx drugs (anything that ends with Cet or Dan...loricet, loridan, percocet percidan..sp?) He takes more than he should and mixes alcohol. He can pass out on the phone or act as if he is listening but not understanding what you are saying. From the descriptions listed here and the back and forth between LDT's, it sounds like medication IMO. I also agree that to have achieved her LPN a learning disability is not likely. JMO.

I apologize in advance if this has already been addressed....I'm off to catch up.

Snip:
A man named as a person of interest in the case of a missing 13-year-old girl from West Texas said Friday that he is not responsible for her disappearance.

Shawn Adkins, 25, told The Associated Press exclusively that he would "never ever do anything to harm Hailey" Dunn, whose mother reported her missing Dec. 28 in Colorado City. Adkins was then the live-in boyfriend of Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother.

At least he used her name.... perhaps he is reading here lol.

I'm left wondering how good of a student she was though. I'd love to see her grades.

Do you know what they call a medical student who graduates at the bottom of his/her class?

Doctor. :floorlaugh:

Or on Patty's youtube afterwards: http://www.youtube.com/Sierra1947

Hope this helps...)

I completely disagree about BD having learning disability.

Just because you do/say stupid $4it doesn't mean you have a learning disability.

MOO IMHO etc etc
It is possible that the $140 was withdrawn and used a down payment for someone else to kill Hailey??? ( I know it's cheap.. but people have done worse for less)

I was just reading about a case local to me and a guy was hired to kidnap and kill a 13 yr old girl because she had been being sexually abused and the guy abusing her, didn't want her testifying or whatever.

The guy who kidnapped and killed her is possibly escaping the death penalty in IL.

Anyway reading this article this morning made Hailey pop into my head....

In Florida, you have to have a 75 or above to pass...which is a C. Don't know if that is the case in TX. You also have to demonstrate that you can perform specific skills correctly.

I am a nursing student (RN though not LPN/LVN) and our second semester just started. The first semester LPN is the same as an RN. We lost almost half our class...we had about 50 the first semester and had about 25 that failed out....some by a point or two. These were people that had pretty good GPA's. Nursing school is tough regardless of the program (RN or LPN) so the fact that she made it through speaks volumes to me. JMO and all that stuff.
