The golden question: WHY DID HE DRIVE TO WORK THAT DAY?

I think he did it for several reasons:
1>so his phone would ping in the area of work (notice that shortly after left his 10 minute work day, his cell stops pinging altogether for over 2 hours) once it's back one is in a different area from work.
2>wanted his boss/coworkers to see him in hopes of an alibi
3> He really needed that soda badly.

At the very end of the video, the reporter says CD is considering hiring a PI. I hope he does.

I think this is day 18 she is missing now. It happened during the hoidays so no school.
MO, I highly doubt that the mother would have called hailey anytime to see if she was home from school. Eitherway, the last time anyone remotely reliable saw her was 9;00 pm on Sunday the 26th of December. She was reported missing the Tuesday. (unless I've totally messed the days up...this is all so screwy.)

Oh, I see what you mean now. I have tried to read everything posted, but haven't come across anything that specific. I think from all accounts, she was a well adjusted student, smart, and doing well in class. Sorry!

When the illegal drugs were purchased{and yes, they were purchased it was no prescription, as u hear her tattling on herself last nite on NG, you can hear Billie as her voice trails off say.. "I don't know, I got that prescription a coupla days before then...".. but back to her coming clean on withdrawing $140 and purchasing illegal narcotics from someone in Scurry CO..she just needs to come 100% clean with it. It occured the evening of the 27th when Shawn had told her Hailey was safe&soundly spending the nite at MBs house...

So, yea it may not make a great impression on your fellow church members or your boss for that matter but who the he!! cares your 13 yr old daughter is what is at the heart of this investigation and your having lied, spun tales, exaggerated the truth WILL ONLY HINDER THE PROCESS OF FINDING HER AND BRINGING HER HOME!!!!!!!!

Come clean, on Dec 27th at approx 6:30pm you purchased illegal narcotics for yourself and your boyfriend! There its OUT! So what if someone may look down their nose at you..You bought drugs that nite, but that doesn't in any way implicate you in being involved with what happened to Hailey.. Because according to what we know at that time you were completely under the impression that your daughter was safe, sound, and enjoying spending the nite at a girlfriends...

and thats why I JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!!!! Is she scared her admitting makes her guilty of what happened to Hailey because I'd bet a 10 yr old could discern that one does not equal the other... SO, WHY?

WHY WOULD YOU NOT COME CLEAN AND BE DONE WITH IT?

The ppl who can do any type of punishing for the act that was done that night{i.e. LE} you have already admitted it to them..so it cant be that you fear legal repercussion..

Anyone understand why? Cuz I sure as he!! can't for the life of me figure it out???!!!

re: BD We don't know all of her issues. She may have a blunted affect from other medications she may be on and we don't know her full medical history. Has anyone seen her teeth? I haven't (are they all present?) Someone mentioned the possibility of seeing a tongue ring, but I didn't notice one.
She may or may not have an addiction problem, which can certainly alter a persons judgement/perception. (point to the case in Florida with all involved on drugs)

Just because someone is a possible addict, does not mean that they have killed their child.

Mention of her nursing license being suspended~2008. I can look this up again, I don't recall the source.

Perhaps BD was not prepared to be "outed" after having given statements to the police about purchasing drugs. Perhaps she is worried about being harmed by the person that sold them to her (media attention).

SA--Definitely red flags with his not being able to account for where was, person last know to see her and his unusual behavior.

1) Does anyone recall having read anything about DD's relationship with SA?
2) Has there been any mention anywhere of BD's family members or contacts other than her boyfriend and ex-spouse? Have they been supportive of BD? Has she had any character references--other than what we have seen on television

Dropping something off...(sd cards)?
there was a lot of mp3 ipad/pod confusion as to one being broken or lost...throwing out evidence...
picking something up he'd left there and was gonna need...(gps, suppplies)
picking someone up to bring back to the house...
swapping vehicles... wish I knew!!!!

Any theories on why the dogs tracked Haylie's scent to the dad's, to the friend's, then to the motel? Except for the motel this is what SA said Haylie was going to do that day, but weird that her scent ended up at a motel.

The ONLY thing I can come up with was this was a scent from a day or two prior to her missing.

Otherwise, this piece of the puzzle is a bit bizarre.

We also discussed the possibility of him going to work to get a tool or something he needed for his plan...a sturdy shovel, a sawzall, bag of lime or something along those lines.

"What it looked like to me was two kids were playing trying to act as if they were bad," says Dr. Marc Orner.

Orner watched both videos and doesn't believe the contents pose an inherent threat to anyone,"Of course, anybody can all of a sudden act out and do something violent, but something like that just looks like some kids are trying to be stupid."

Whether or not these videos have anything to do with the disappearance of Hailey Dunn, Dr. Orner says they likely will be a useful tool for law enforcement, "They would use that to try and get a better understanding of the individual and it would give them something to answer more questions."

Dr. Orner also adds that people should not pass judgement on these two videos because there could be more even more incriminating ones or that these could completely harmless.

I am so CONFUSED about the phones still. She says she left the cell phone home for the kids to use. So that LE map of the 2 cell phones pinging off the towers; one is for BD's phone. So WHO had that phone? Hailey or Billie? Or the big brother. ????? Or did SA have both???

From what I read in the affidavit, they only mention SA's cell pinging from the tower that a person would use from BD's address. They don't mention pings from BD's phone (unless I missed it somewhere). I think it was originally misreported in the news that both phones were pinging from her address. BD was really sensitive about the 3 deleted phone calls on NG. She said that SA told her he didn't delete the call records, they just disappeared!

This is completely JMHO but I think he went to work really intending to work the full day. I believe, sadly, Hailey was already gone. But once he got there - the adreneline was still pumping and he probably was still high and he realized that he just couldn't "focus on work" - c'mon, after all, he had just played out a fantasy that he'd had for a while. That's why the funny look and no words to the boss (whom he really wasn't planning on seeing).

That look by the boss and his own twisted sense of accomplishment and self led him to walk out. He had a desperate need to "share" but he had to get to the people he wanted to "share" with - and none of those were at work.

But, you see, this screwed up "the plan". That's why he didn't tell BD about this "walk out at work" for a few days. Now all involved have been doing nothing but scrambling and squirming. I also believe that's why the drug buy that night. BOTH needed something to help them "deal".

Just like Zahra - poor Hailey never had a chance.

But that's just my thoughts.......

I know it has been said that he did on here and that he or someone that answered the door said his lawyer told him not to speak but usually in cases like this we see the lawyer visiting the house or POI going to lawyer's office. Did I miss something?

Wouldn't a lawyer have advised him not to speak to the media even for damage control?

Usually in a national case the lawyer likes to make his/her presence known, get his/her name out to the public, get their face shown.

I think it *was* left at home like BD said. It was pinging off the tower that would pick up phones from her house. That's why LE thinks SA went back to the house: his phone pinged off the exact same tower when he said he went straight to his mom's. Someone posted all the technical specs about the tower back on the thread right after the affidavits were released.
