It might be harder to determine if others actually SAW Hailey but its not hard to determine who she called Monday and when the calls took place....

WHen Billie called home Tuesday at Noon and DD answered and she tells him to call MB and tell Hailey to come home and he calls back Billie saying she wasnt at MB

What would I do... Id look at the phone is see who actually Hailey had talked to on Monday and make plans with geez what if SA had gotten the name wrong and she was staying at Suzie Beth (made up name) and he just got the name wrong...

Billie has the phone..her son is looking at it at this point so she knows who/when Hailey called anyone on Monday or if anyone called her..

Billie knows from the call log if the neighbor really saw Hailey making a call at noon....She could have that confirmed on tuesday at Noon..

My question is
Did Billie or DD go to the log and see any calls on Monday?

great in theory until i push erase call history

if that is the case no calls would show or conversely i can erase specific calls or none at all

if that was the case until i was able to receive something from my provider i could not ascertain whether any calls had been erased or what calls were made

She sure comes across as losing him will be the most important thing in her life.
I dont know if she knew at the time but I do think she is trying to protect him.

GRACE: Tell me what happened the day she went missing, Miss Dunn.

DUNN: She went missing on Monday while I was at work. My boyfriend - - he came home from work about 3:00 -- or he got to my house about 3:00. And he`s seen Hailey. Hailey was there. She told him, I`m running across the street to my dad`s house for a few minutes but I`m going [MB]`s, and I`m staying the night there. Let my mom know.

So that evening when he picked me up from work, we got home, we were getting ready for bed. I didn`t get worried when I hadn`t heard from Hailey. I thought she was at [MB]`s. I was kind of upset that she didn`t call and confirm it with me, but not worried at that point.

Tuesday, I was at work again, I left my cell phone at home for my kids to use when I`m working. So Tuesday, I called my son. I said tell Hailey text the little girl, her friend, tell Hailey she needs to go ahead and get home. This was around lunch. My son called me back within a few minutes and she said, mom, she said Hailey never made it over there. She never spent the night.

So at that point I called Hailey`s dad and found out she didn`t over there and she didn`t stay the night with him. I left from work and went to the police station in Colorado City and reported her missing.

GRACE: Last night, you told me he was on his way home from work, but now I`m learning he was on his way home from his mother`s home?

BILLIE DUNN: Yes. He had been at his mother`s house all day Monday. Police have confirmed that he got home about 3:00 o`clock, and Hailey left shortly after.

GRACE: OK. Where does he work?

BILLIE DUNN: He`s not working.

GRACE: OK. Last night, didn`t you tell me he was on his way home from work, or did I just get that mistaken?

BILLIE DUNN: No, I said that. He went in Monday morning, but there was an argument. He was fired or there was just a big blow-up there. He walked out. He left his job by 6:30 in the morning and went to Big Spring (ph) to his mom`s house.

GRACE: OK. What was the blow-up about?

BILLIE DUNN: I don`t even know. I just know he didn`t get along with one or two of the co-workers.

To an extent, yes imho. My short experience with Ativan left me walking around like a zombie. A shell with no life behind it. I was physically "there", but not emotionally, or mentally "there".

I know I questioned this early on. She gets picked up from work and goes home and gets ready for bed. How convienent that she's left out the entire evening. And then we come to find out about the ATM visit and the drug buy. She doesn't really lie inasmuch as she just omits certain details.

Well, I guess I lied about stepping away....

Concerning Billie's emotions - IMHO, she is struggling to hold it together, stone faced both because she is nervous about being on TV (I know I would be) and if she lets go of her emotions, she will be a bawling mess. I can see the toll it takes on her to get through the interviews, but then again, I know her and how she is. Plus, you have to take into consideration that she is on RX ativan - although I do not know for sure if she is taking it during the day or only for sleep.

I completely understand what you all are saying, and I can see how a lot of you may think that she is just unemotional period.

I have thought about telling her to just let go of her emotions, but I don't, for several reasons - including the fact that if she did now, then everyone would just think that she has decided to 'put on a show'. It's like she just can't win.

As far as pleading for Hailey's return, she has - over and over and over. Some of it is just not played by the media.... I don't know why, unless they, like some of you, have decided that she is guilty, and just dont.

After the last NG show, I did finally tell her that I felt like she was given an opportunity to just run with whatever she wanted.... but she froze up. I told her that maybe she should write out everything she wanted to say, to be able to get it all out, and that I was sure that people would understand that she had trouble collecting her thoughts while under such stress.

We have also talked about a press conference, but have gone back and forth on it. I know that a very nice woman from the local radio station interviewed her yesterday, and was going to give her an opportunity to make a statement, but I haven't heard it - if y'all can believe it, the only radio I have is in my vehicle. I guess I need to ask when it is running next and go sit out there and listen to it.

I guess I wish that with everything else going on, all the accusations, everyone could at least give her a pass on this. I know that if I was in Billie's situation, and I went on a national TV show, I would either have to have no emotion or would be a hot mess, and unintelligible. No in between.

Billie does not want to have to answer questions about herself. The only reason she continues to appear on NG is because it is national exposure - it is getting Hailey's face out there in the hopes that someone has seen her.


Wise Old Owl - Billie has not mentioned if LE searched her.

Brwnigirl - no concern over FB friends that I know of. And Billie has said many times that she had no reason to distrust Hailey, and that Hailey was allowed to leave a note of where she would be. She also said that she wished she had called. So no, I guess I don't consider it odd behavior, but I know that she regrets it to no end that she didn't call and check.

I hope that someone has helped BD get her cell phone records and go through them line by line with her. Check off the numbers she knows and help her use the white pages reverse directory to help trace the ones she doesn't know. I hope she's looked at a couple of months worth of bills to see who/when/how long the calls were.

Could be, of course Billie has said she is not medicated sans the one ativan she took before polygraph one and the vicodin she took for a toothache.

We saw Cindy Anthony so medicated I thought they had perhaps tried to take her down with a tranquilizer dart like you see on wild kingdom... and she leaked anger out of every pore.

From Krista: I know quite a bit more about SA (from Billie) than just the fact he is her BF, but nothing that is relevant here. Yes she talked about him to me, but nothing really other than everyday, mundane things. Everyone has problems from time to time, and of course, while you might not tell your friends everything, you do tell them some. The thing is, this is not about Billie and SA's relationship, it is about finding Hailey.

I specifically asked Billie about SA threatening Hailey's life... she told me he had never to her knowledge threatened Hailey, and unless he told LE that when she was not around, she does not know where it came from. Yes, I know, odd. I also asked her about the Feb. 2010 incident. She said that she called LE about something else - no threats were made that day - and no report was made, no citations issued, nothing.

CZ, thank you so much for continuing to answer questions here. You really are invaluable and you never know if something you say may "hit a cord" with someone and lead to a tip or thought of some sort that could lead to finding Hailey, so again, thank you.

With respect, I say that while this is about finding Hailey, Billie and Shawn's relationship is absolutely something we have to consider and knowing more about it would be extremely helpful in FINDING Hailey. The dynamics in the household could have come into play if she really DID runaway. It could also have influence on the type of guy she might seek out herself (age difference being one thing worth mentioning) it may provide some insight to know if it was a continual stressful household, was there a lot of fighting? Things like that could lead to a light bulb moment

I am curious as to how DD is holding up. Please let him know that there are a lot of people worried about him and that he needs to talk to someone if he's feeling overwhelmed. I cannot imagine the stress and grief my own child of the same age would go through if a younger sibling was missing. She would be completely out of it. As a friend I hope you will make sure that during this time his needs are being met and he's not pushed to a back burner. Not saying that IS happening, but I can see how easily it COULD happen when all the focus is on finding Hailey right now. He needs to know that there is someone there for him if (not really if .... when ... ) he needs them. :hug:

Her cell is a pre-paid one so I dont think there is a bill. Hopefully LE has looked back many months. They still have the phone, and have not told her anything about any of the calls.

BILLIE DUNN: The entire house. And they did -- the police searched it Wednesday, the day after she was reported missing. The Texas Rangers searched it again yesterday, a more thorough search, and they took some pictures and -- so they had already searched it. They didn`t wait.

I find it highly unlikely that ANY MEDIA outlet anywhere would edit out a missing child's mother's pleas for her to come home or if she directly speaks to the child. They just don't do that. For one reason, if the parents/ extended family / friends of the family know there was a plea for the child - they would be FURIOUS that it wasn't shown.

Maybe if she would talk more about Hailey and how much she loves her and the little things she misses about her daughter and what they would do together or how it upset her last night because she made one of Hailey's favorite dinners, SOMETHING instead of "she's not in my house", then I might try to understand. But for now, I'm sorry, BD is not getting any kind of "pass" from me on anything. Not until LE announces that she has been completely cleared.

CZ, this account simply doesn't "add up" at all.
If she called LE for an unrelated incident there wouldn't be anything on file with police to place in the affadavit.
It really does seem like Billie seems to have "answers" for any question about what's been reported by LE... but none of them really "jive". I think that's why so many are questioning her being at all truthful.

Add to that---BD found out on 12/29/2010 that SA quit his job...makes no sense to me why she would go on national TV and blatantly lie about this...I was able to give her the benefit of the doubt until the day she revealed this information, because she clearly knew SA was no longer working but lied on the show on 1/3/2011 - which was her first appearance on an national network---this behavior defies all logic for going on NG to gain attention to HD's case and garner assistance from the public.

Billie Dunn, thanks for being with us. What happened in the polygraph?

BILLIE DUNN: Thanks for having us again. I don`t know. They had me very faithful (ph) in that test. We brought the polygraph up first. We asked for it, and they were told us -- they told us they were very confident in those tests. They -- I put a lot of confidence into those tests.

The first Friday they had it set up for us to take, we had taken Ativan the night before to go to sleep. They didn`t tell us we couldn`t have anxiety medicine. So when we were able to get it set up again -- Shawn had actually called them and asked them if he could come down and take it yet, and they said yes. They came, picked him up. He took his. I went in. They told me he failed it. I lost it, of course. I told them I had so much faith in that test.

Then they took me over to the courthouse. I took a polygraph test. I failed it, lost all faith in the test. A couple of other people failed it. One guy I do not know. One person took it three times, took it twice and failed it...

GRACE: Well, let me ask you this, Ms. Dunn...

BILLIE DUNN: ... then took it and passed it.

GRACE: Who administered the polygraph to you? Who was it?

BILLIE DUNN: His name was Matt. I believe there were two different...

GRACE: Well, was it the local -- was it the local police, the FBI? Was it the Texas Rangers?

BILLIE DUNN: No, he`s a polygrapher that came from Big Spring, out of town.

GRACE: OK, Billie Dunn -- everyone, with us is Hailey`s mother. What questions did they ask you? What`d they ask you?

BILLIE DUNN: They asked if I knew anything about the disappearance of Hailey, if I caused the disappearance of Hailey, and if there were any questions I was scared that he was going to ask me.

GRACE: Let me ask you this, Billie Dunn. Where is your boyfriend?

BILLIE DUNN: He went back to his grandma`s house.

GRACE: Why?

BILLIE DUNN: As soon as I found out he failed the test, I told him I didn`t want him back at my house. And now I don`t know what to think anymore. I would just rather he stay there until she comes home or they find her and we clear this up.

GRACE: What was his response when you told him to get out?

BILLIE DUNN: He was very tearful, very tearful, and he said he would go.

LATER ON IN THE SHOW:

Billie Dunn, have you spoken to your boyfriend since he moved out?

DUNN: No.

GRACE: When you told him you wanted him out, what, if anything, did he say about Hailey?

DUNN: He looked at me, told me, you know -- you know me better than anybody. You know I love you, you know I love Hailey and [DD], you know I couldn`t do this. At the same time I told him, yes, I know that, Shawn, but I also know you failed that test. Why did you fail that test?

I do agree that no guest has much control over the direction of NG's questions. It would take a mighty strong and confident person to change the direction of the line of questioning. The only time I've ever seen anyone try to get her to focus on their message was Elizabeth Smart.

I don't watch Nancy Grace very often - just when a case I'm following from here is on. But I did notice that when Elizabeth Smart was on NG to talk about a new sex offender bill that she is involved with, and NG kept pushing her to talk about her abduction. She finally told NG that she didn't appreciate what she was doing - it's the only time I've ever seen someone be strong enough to stand up to NG (again, I don't watch her much either):
