I don't think Dunn owes us or the public at large a darn thing. All she's doing is asking for help finding her daughter. That doesn't equate to us digging into her private life or passing judgement on her. I know people will disagree with me, but it doesn't. That's for the police to deal with. Our job is just to look for that child.

First time poster, been reading everything and I totally agree with you on this. Every one of us could speculate how we would act/react in a case like this, but none of us know how we would act/react if it were us. My prayers go out to the family and I am praying with all that is in me that Hailey is found.

I respectfully disagree. I don't see her asking for help finding her daughter at all, except as an addendum at the end of her many interviews. I sure havent' heard of her doing any searching for her.

A bigger question: why wouldn't LE arrest him based on that statement? Isn't that like a confession? There's a girl out there missing and here is someone saying that he is one of the responsible parties and even gave LE the impression that he even knows where she is...

Just catching up ....icy here so not going out today........you are all stuck with me today! LOL

IIRC, no one can be arrested yet............something about holding only for 72 hours.
The charge has to be figured out; then the clock starts for a speedy trial thing. (90 days??)
But I feel good that all POI are being watched 24 hours a day.......that to me is like house arrest or worse.
Imagine for them, no communication, no sex, no fake home invasions, no parties, living in a fishbowl!!

A family member out searching for a loved one has been debated many times over on this forum. One has to think if BD went out with a search group and heaven forbid they did in fact find Hailey, then BD would invaribly accused of knowing where Hailey was and contaminating evidence. Since BD has not been in a search group, she is accused of not caring or not loving her daughter or having something to do with her disappearance. BD is doing the interviews with the media, keeping Hailey's face out there, if she were to go from town to town searching, then folks would accuse her of avoinding the media.
This is a no win situation...

On NG she claimed the money was for groceries and gas...

My brothers were total potheads. Pot doesn't cost that much $$. If they bought $100 in pot, LE should have found pot at the house unless SA was out selling pot the next morning. I think they bought harder drugs. MOO

BD acts like she doesn't know what happened that last night and she probably doesn't. My guess is that she was totally drugged out that night and that's why she checked on Hailey the next morning to see if she "was ok." I don't think she has any comprehension of what happened because she was wasted. I think she is scared SA did something to Hailey and maybe even scared she was involved and doesn't remember. While I don't think she intentionally harmed Hailey I think she may be scared/worried because she doesn't know what happened and in her heart she knows what SA is capable of. MOO

I find it reprehensible that she is protecting SA during this investigation but that is how it appears. I agree that she is protecting SA. Either because she wants him no matter what or she is scared of him or what he knows. Regardless of her feelings for him, Hailey should be her primary concern with DD a close second.

Her demeanor is horrible for these circumstances. I would like to chalk this up to her being a bland personality who freezes in uncomfortable situations but her lack of hysteria is worrisome. I do understand her lack of trust in LE but not her guarded words to MSM. She has every right to be ranting and raving at this point and instead she is just blah.

Well, it's certainly not just that she is not searching, but it is the sum of ALL her actions thus far, including her many half-truths and lies. IMO of course.

First...IMO...lie detector tests...yes/no....who said what...we need to remember that we're getting info from the key players, media, the city "manager" (ha!!), and LE. I'm guessing MAYBE someone DID tell them....someone from some department who shouldn't have. We've seen this in MANY other cases where info either true or false about LD tests has come out. So, again, IMO...pffffft, on the fact of who got told what by whom.

As far as the affadavit...many things we've found are totally true...some things are, or SEEM blatently false.

SA...IMO, most probably said Hailey was "boy crazy"...but perhaps the way he might have elaborated on that, led LE to call her activities "promiscuous"....a bit strong of a word, if ya ask me!! Although, we've heard his impression/description of Hailey changed quite a bit between interviews. But, I somehow don't expect to find the term "boy crazy" in a formal report by LE...sorry. And, as been mentioned, an affadavit IS a synopsis of what was said during the questioning...not word for word.

As far as the ATM/drug/groceries and gas issue....simple enough for LE to check. They ask them "Where'd you get the gas"...."where'd you buy the groceries"....check video, cashiers, other customers, etc at the places they said they went. I don't think that there could be a mistake in translation by LE about taking cash from an ATM for "gas and groceries" as opposed to some sort of drug - exactly what, who knows.

I'm back on the fence about this whole fiasco.....BUT, I'm NOT on the fence on one fact....BD brought this young man into her house...exposed him to her children, whom at the time, IIRC, were 11 and 14. Even BD said Hailey didn't like SA "at first", but "later" felt comfortable enough to ask him for ten bucks....a far cry from her STILL having a bad feeling about him. Maybe Hailey just came to the conclusion that he wasn't goin anywhere because mom wanted him there. I'm NOT saying any single mom is supposed to live like a nun. I'm just sooo leery of meeting people for dating on these "social" sites. And, maybe not in this case, but we've seen it far too many times...maybe some followed Ethan Stacey...a heartbreaking case of a mom putting her child in an "uncomfortable" position with a boyfriend.

If LE used their own words when they wrote up the interviews, then I think SA may have used a much stronger word when he indicated that Hailey was "promiscuous"...

Creepy him sitting out there watching them. Maybe she isnt in that area and this is a game to him.
God bless those searchers who are dedicated to going out every day and looking for her.
Please God let Hailey come home.

It's like he is just daring them. He better be careful...people are crazy.

Day 20: Searchers Question Adkins, Cops in Dunn Case

Volunteer Searcher Wants to Slap Adkins in the Face

http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=331886
I'd want to slap him, too, and then some. Imagine all of those good people, families, sacrificing their time and struggling to desperately find this poor girl while the one person who, in all likelihood, holds the answers, sits watching from the shelter of his porch. The sheer audacity is enough to make me want to knock the he** out of him.

FWIW-My son can watch DVD's on his X-box as well as Netflix. I assume the memory would store a history of what has been viewed.
I haven't heard if BD had cable or broadband. She did say she and SA watched a movie the night HD "spent the night" with her friend.
LE may know if that statement is true and possibly what movie they watched. (if they were even at home that night )
