It is hard for me to believe that LE did not get the phone records for 2 weeks.
My daughter got her Blackberry stolen and we went to Sprint store and they INSTANTLY looked online to see if there were any texts or calls that weekend. The guy read the most recent ones to us but they were our daughters texts.
So in a missing child case they would be able to get that same info just as quickly as I did imo.
And if one watches 48HRS, on Discovery Channel, the detectives get the victims complete cell records within 24 to 48 hours max.

From what I understand, it took longer to get the records for Billie's phone because it was a prepaid phone. And it might not be quite 2 weeks - I saw someone say 1/4 a few posts back..... everything seems to take longer now.

LE also looked at MSs records.... hers were back much sooner.

I honestly think she is hiding something and she is hiding from the fact that Shawn did something to her daughter and that means her daughter is dead. I don't think she is allowing that into her consciousness.

I think she is hiding from the horror of it and that is why the inconsistencies.

I don't think Billie had a thing to do with this and I don't think she has derailed the investigation by trying to protect her boyfriend.

I think what we are seeing is someone coming to grips with bringing a creep into her house and exposing her daughter to him.

I agree that she is having to slowly come to grips with placing SA in the picture but I think the slowness of her processing the information is hindering the investigation.

I personally think that at this point CD feels Hailey is gone. She might not want to return to her mother's home but, at this point, if she was aware of all of this she would know she wouldn't have to. I think CD feels she would have contacted HIM by now.

Absolutely! I believe Billie was blindsided by SA. Men like these are very convincing and if you are in love with them, it's hard to believe otherwise. So I think in the beginning Billie just went by what SA told her. Billie needs to go back and do her own time line (like another poster stated) and go back with what she knows is the truth and what can be validated or substantiated by LE, not by SA. When Billie goes on NG, and I would recommend not going on NG unless she gets ALL her ducks in a row. Having another person represent the family would probably be a good idea.

At the risk of getting apples thrown at me :crazy: I have to say Billie appeared to me to have more emotion tonight on NG than ever before..But it appeared to me to be fear for herself when NG started asking tougher questions..I haven't seen that same look in regards to Hailey yet...

BBM-- It saddens me to say...But LE certainly DOES lie and/or misrepresent material facts to get a warrant. Happens in courtrooms everyday-- a judge is rendering decisions that evidence was obtained through an invalid search warrant. It really stinks when the defendant walks because LE risked it to get a search warrant. But to be fair...sometimes LE feels they need to "fudge" a little to get the warrant so they can solve a case or put the perp behind bars!


Feel free to Google "lying to get search warrant" and for fun type in Texas or even your own state and see what comes up. FYI...Those are just the very few that make the news.

I could not be an officer,I know full well what they have to deal with and bring to justice scumbags who hurt children.Unfortunately there's growing hatred for LE and why officers are killed,what is sickening is when people on tv trash them when LE is trying to find children who weren't protected and were put in harms way.

School was released early Friday (when this occurred) and by the time my daughter told me about it all of the offices were closed, and they remained closed through today. I will be speaking with the principal and the superintendent if I can get ahold of him in the morning. I will also be filing a complaint.

Speaking of which.... Someone posted awhile back about picking her daughter up from school today and seeing the bus with Hailey's picture and what not on it. I thought today was a school holiday?

B. DUNN: She hasn`t told me that she did. No.

GRACE: Now when you say that they didn`t know, the friend didn`t know that she was coming for a sleepover, are you talking about Mary Beth and her mother, or just the mother?

Now tell me..seriously, WHO would do that if their child was missing..NOT talk to the mother?..I'm wondering if she actually even 'called' the daughter/friend or if she did her *investigation* thru text?

Something I wish someone could help BD to understand is that she is frustrating the effort to find her daughter. You know the MSM is going to pick up on the most "interesting" details of any story to maximize their audience; it's unavoidable. If you're asked about something that you don't think is relevant to finding your child, you put it to rest as soon as possible so you can move the subject to what is important to finding your child.

One of the things that BD got most upset about tonight was when Nancy expressed dissatisfaction about the family watching horror movies. Instead of taking up precious media time and bringing up the comedies (trying so hard to make the point that people wouldn't look down on her if they knew only about the comedies), why not just say "we enjoy horror movies and comedies, Hailey loves all kinds of movies..." - something to that effect. Don't trip because some people look down on teens watching horror movies, you've got bigger fish to fry. She seems to be most focused on defending or avoiding things that she perceives to make her look bad. And, I don't think she gets it that the horror movies would probably never even come up if it weren't for the masks, SA videos, reported past violence in the home, true crime print outs... She doesn't seem to see the totality of context or pattern, or she doesn't want us to see it. Not sure which, but it makes it hard to trust what she says, for me at least, because her hot spots and priorities don't seem right.

Billie is a key to finding Hailey, period. Either because she knows what happened to Hailey, or because she knows more details about the prime suspect than anyone else close to Hailey, and/or because she should be a driving force to keep people looking for Hailey if she was abducted or ran away. If she has nothing to do with Hailey's disappearance and really wants the public to help find her asap, she needs to be more forthcoming and focused on Hailey (nothing else) no matter who looks bad, so those that want to help find Hailey don't keep stumbling on Billie over and over trying to get on the path that leads to Hailey. If she's not blocking that path intentionally, she needs someone to intervene and point out to her how she's slowing things down (I think LE is facing the same stumbling blocks with her). Hope that makes sense - a little frustrated, but still hopeful. Let's find Hailey!

None of us are perfect.

IF my DD went missing - I would hold back NOTHING. I would get on every TV, radio station, everything and account for every minute.

I would come on here myself and post everything I did, every store I stopped at, every phone call I made, I would scan and post the receipts. I would scan and post every phone record I got off the interent (mine and DD's - including the home phone). I would fess up to everything I did from the last time I saw her - whether it included a happy hour at a bar or a quickie with the guy I was having an affair with (I'm not BTW). I would beg, plead, cry for her to please come home and that if anyone had her to please let her go.

I would hold NOTHING back. I would be truthful and things wouldn't change in midstream.

But the first thing I would do (and I have had to do this with my own DD) is go to the friend's house where she said she would be. I would talk to the friend, I would talk to the parent (or whatever adult was there). I would call 911 and get the police to come to me so they could see the house and go through the phones and not waste time by going to the police station.

As the days progressed and T-shirts were made - EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY I WOULD HAVE A "MY DD" IS MISSING SHIRT ON.

Anyone who would ask me - I would tell them. Where I was, what I was doing, I would account for every minute - even if it put me in a bad light. Spill it.

I just don't see BD doing this. She aviods questions, talks in circles, says she loves the suspect, I haven't heard her account for every minute from Sunday night at 10 PM when Hailey was in her room watching TV. She has changed her story. First, she went straight to the police station and now she came home, checked a few places, then went to police. Thing is - she didn't go to MB's. We know that. MB's mother was quoted as saying she never met BD and the first time she every saw her was when BD appeared on NG.

It is going on over 3 weeks and now, tonight, we find out that there was a text from BD/Hailey's phone at 2 PM - which is crucial to the timeline? WHY?

BD has talked in circles about the slasher movies/printed out 258 pages of serial killers herself - called it a hobby/ admitted finally tonight that she knew of the masks. Why is it like pulling teeth to get information out of her? Important information that is vitally needed to find Hailey.

Why didn't BD come out in the very begining and say "hey, I know SA has some strange hobbies and we all like to watch slasher movies." ? No, instead we get dribbles and drabs, a little here a little there.

I can't, I don't understand. How can we help find Hailey if we don't get truthful, accurate information to go off of?

Ok - that's it. I think I'm done.

Gonna sit on my hands for now and pray for Hailey.

Good points and when my son went missing for 2 1/2 hours one day I made sure I repeated the facts as I knew them very precisely every time LE asked me, and at least 4 different officers talked to me during that time. However, I've been on websleuths for a few years and know how important it is to tell every detail very carefully every time the story is retold. I also knew that those 4 officers weren't just making small talk, although it would have seemed that way at times to someone who doesn't know anything about LE, but they were checking out my story to see if it changed. With all that said, I'm thinking BD doesn't realize how important it is/has been to be so careful with every detail every time she recounts her story. Also, I think she had no idea the videos/masks/drug info was going to come out , or at least so publicly, so she figured she'd leave out things that didn't seem important to her or things she wanted to hide that in her opinion weren't important to the case. Big mistakes on her part but possibly mistakes made due to ignorance of the determination and abilities of LE and sleuthers.

All that said, I'm not convinced BD is completely innocent and the main thing she has going for her that might point towards innocence in my opinion is that she hasn't lawyered up yet.

I believe that BD is a great little actress. She has the waif, clueless affect down perfectly. I think she will do and say anything to protect her lover. She certainly does have access to the internet....she used it freely at work to download her "hobby".....SA didn't share his videos with her but she knew about the masks?? Riiiiight....still trying to protect her reputation and cover for her lover. I certainly hope LE isn't telling her anything....she's probably a POI, unofficially. If not, she is still close to the main suspect. She should be kept way, way in the dark as far as any evidence.

Ok- question- with some of these new phones can a person, before going to bed, program their phone to send a text at a certain time the next day? You know like you can program you coffee maker to have your morning jo ready when you get up?

Also, it has been asked "what did SA do when his phone stopped pinging in CC and started pinging at his mothers" Could he have driven to his momma's, given her the phone and asked her to make a couple calls using his phone. Meanwhile, he drives back and uses the family phone? If you remember, when SA's momma found out the police had her computer she marched herself directly to LE and demanded the computer back at which time it was seized and placed in to evidence. SA's momma knows something that makes her a little panicky.

Aaaand while several were sympathizing with CD's blood shot eyes and torn up look (reminds me of the scene in peter pan when Father trips on toys, falls all over the room and some toy or something barely hits their dog "nanna" and everyone runs to her and says Aawhhh! Poor Nanna!) Let us not forget the wonderful characters CD has for friends; his partaking in a little weed; he lives across the street and didn't notice anything different- but did defend the so called NYE party and said "there was no party"

Finally- the first bit that I got back from my friend was he detected deception from CD' Mom

Someone mentioned the micro-expression on SA's face during the interviews- I passed that along as well, but I might not have an answer until the weekend. I watched it several times and see what you mean. It's easier to have a base clip to have in order to see what their facial expressions are normally, so I compared them to the youtube clips. I'm not sure if it is excitement or the lip pressing that indicates deception. Normally an entire sentence or paragraph can be spoken before the expression is given, however SA gives it about every 3 or 4 words- but does not do that when he is getting high

Back to CD, I don't want to speak poorly of him- it just seems he gets a free pass while all the blame for poor decisions are aimed at BD. A book could be written about what parenting mistakes went on here in just the last 2 months and bad parenting is something that is handed down like a precious heirloom, but unlike the heirloom, no one wants to take responsibility. And I think the entire family dynamics need to be taken a look at. Everyone- aunts, uncles, friends, girlfriends and of course SA, grandmas and pas- no stone unturned.

LE has a very tough job! And the great majority don't make it a practice to lie but it does happen. And sometimes it is the only way to solve a case.
