I agree. I think there are more cases of runaway teens than there are teens who are abducted, at least in my area. And the sad truth is, LE cannot assume anything else, until there are signs of foul play. Not necessarily physical evidence, but also with peoples' statements who are involved. When someone's statement doesn't add up, or they change the initial story or cops find out they lied.... then they can look at it differently. Right now, she's a missing teen and that may be all they know at this point.

Ya know what they say about "assume"......
LE could have just as easily assumed she was abducted as there were no physical evidence that she ran away. LE was immediately informed by both parents that they did not believe she was a runaway as per their interview on NG tonight.

Thank You NG. The most informative show I have seen in a long time. The interviews of both parents was spot on. Ya'll really do make a "difference" in this world by bringing to light these children's stories and their cries for help and justice. Thank You.

I think she got some answers she wasn't expecting. I love the way the mom was so candid, honest, and genuine with her answers. No rehearsed lines. No avoiding the questions. I do wonder how much LE wanted her to say - she was hesitant about the dogs tracking the scent. But that kind of honesty is what I wish we saw more of in these cases. The unrehearsed truth. It was refreshing.

The boyfriend coming from his mom's house instead of work also may impact the question of when exactly he got to Billie's house. If he had been seen leaving work by multiple co-workers at, say, 2:30 then that would establish a definite timeline. But coming from his mom's house could make his story muddier, whether he's telling the truth about arriving at Billie's house at 3:00 or not.

I'd also like to know exactly when Billie saw the boyfriend that afternoon/evening. On Nancy's show yesterday Billie said that the boyfriend picked her up from work "that evening" but didn't say at what time that was. There is definitely the possibility that the boyfriend had a lot of free time that afternoon.

In thw beginning of the show when Billy was talking about her BF, Hailey Dad was breathing heavy, moving his body in the chair, and to me hes livid.

I watched it in slow motion. WOW.

I could see the livid in Dad! Sure wish I could have seen the slow motion!
There are a lot of emotions Mom and Dad are experiencing at this time, sadly.

Where on earth were MB's parents????

Are you asking where were MB parents as in NOT checking with Hailey's mother when Hailey didn't show up at their house for the sleep-over?

~BBM~I thought Billie said on NG tonight that he left work early am, sorry don't remember the exsct time so don't want to quote it.

That's great news! I have to say I'm impressed with NG's coverage of this case.

IMO I think the BF is suspicious. So he left work at 630am, does he work nights or did he just arrive at work?

Can the mom ask LE to search her house? Do forensics?

IMO the dogs did find her scent because she walks the area everyday.

Is there a landfill in the area?

yes or if friend was seen walking with hailey do her parents know she was out IF the witness that saw them is reliable... does she have parents that could confirm this... just talking out loud i guess...

but i'm unsure if we can even talk about any friend even without naming names??????

You may use initials like we usually do at WS.

Perhaps Clint was so mad because they said the bloodhounds were immediately brought in. Those of you who recall my original post may remember that they were not brought in until new year's eve.

I just went back and watched it again and I agree Clint looked pissed when Billie started talking about the boyfriend losing his job. Clint did kind of an angry eye roll.

For us non locals...it's about a 45 minute drive from Big Spring, where Billie said the boyfriend's mom lives to Colorado City.

I do hope the LE gets in the house and the vehicles and does a thorough search.

Does any locals know if he stayed with the mom once she got home from the pd? Or did he leave? I think his whereabouts need to be pinned down.

Too many coincidences.

Question about the dogs, could they follow Hailey's scent if she got into a car near or around the friends house and rode to the motel?

One thing I thought of when listening to the info about the neighbor seeing both girls and an "unkown" boy walking to (or at?) the hotel and mom saying the girlfriend has said she didn't see her at all was that young girls will plot and plan and if there was a party (or something else planned around that hotel) one would say she was sleeping at the other's house and the other would just reverse the whole thing and VOILA both girls are now scott free for the night.

Just my thoughts - keep waffling between the BF and the hotel sighting.

They cannot open a full investigation for every teen that is four hours late getting home. If they they did there would be no resources left for any other emergency.

The horrible fact is no one knew she was missing until the following afternoon. If she didn't leave on her own the most likely reality is the end of this story had already been determined long before LE was even notified.

I would think because MB's parents weren't aware of Hailey going over there for a sleepover. However, on the other end, Hailey's mother was told Hailey was going over to MB for a sleepover.
