The only thing that surprised me in the 911 tapes was how well the policemen knew Billie.....

The reaction (in Call #2) when the dispatcher told the officer the name of the caller was
Priceless...

It didnt hear Billie say SA was going to kill Hailey .....just Billie and Clint

Saying "it will be remembered for a long time."...sounds like a very serious threat much more serious than just saying " Im gonna kill you"

Something was happening with SA and Billie but I dont think it was only that SA used her debit card.....why would he want to kill Clint for that reason...or Hailey....

It is certainly discouraging. I find it hard to believe these guys were really worried about BD's call. I'm sure they "did their job" but they didn't do a very good job of being professionals.

Does LE dislike domestic disputes because it is less exciting than bank robberies? It seems to that the domestic disputes are where you PREVENT the crimes from happening while the other stuff is where you clean up and whip out the handcuffs. I'm a big fan of prevention myself.

True, but whether it was unprofessional or not, we don't know if maybe this officer knows Billie, which may have made him comment that way. This IS a small town, so he probably does.. who knows?

Like I said..an observation...NOTHING to do with WHERE IS HAILEY? ..not yelling :)..just added for emphasis that another night is passing and she is still missing while Billie is lying from here to eternity...

OK, I listened to the 911 calls, and here are the things that stuck out to me:

1)Hailey was never mentioned.

2)The police seemed disinterested, and even upset, that they had to go out on yet another call. I am sure I heard the officer say 'dammit'.

3)I don't believe for a minute that Billie threatened to OD. There is only SA's word to go on, and why would anyone believe him?

I did say that if I found out SA had threatened Hailey, I would back away from defending Billie from everything besides the fact that she absolutely has no knowledge at all of Hailey's disappearance and that she is not covering for anyone.

I am ashamed to admit how caught up I have gotten here, reading the the horrible things everyone thinks about my friend, and somehow feeling the need to defend her.
Billie does not need defending. She needs support, and I will continue to stand by her. No matter what happens, there will always be people who will think the worst of her. And I refuse to be a part of that.

The important person here is Hailey. Hailey, whose mom and dad need her to come home desperately. Hailey, whose brother misses her so much. Hailey, who has so many people who love her. Hailey the 13 year old girl who used to spend the night with my girls and act goofy. Hailey. Hailey Hailey. She has to be found.

So, I will no longer be posting in this thread. I spoke with Brad Dennis and two very nice women from the Laura Recovery Center today, and I will be talking more with them. I am going to surround myself with people who don't have use for gossip, and are concerned only with finding Hailey.

Thank you to everyone here who helped with media coverage for Hailey, which helped to get Marc Klaas involved. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for Hailey's safe return, and for continuing to think about her. Thank you also to those of you who have sent me so many messages of support.

Everyone please remember to keep Hailey in your prayers. Ask God to keep His hand on her, and all those that love her. Pray for Hailey's safe return. Do not mourn her yet... use that energy for more prayers.

I hear you, I don't feel I have to lock my doors either, but I think the point that was trying to be made when the son(?) came home and was locked out of the house. After repeatedly knocking or ringing the bell, he looked in a window & saw SA in the hall(?) who looked like a deer with the headlights on him...someone correct me if I am wrong please. Why would he feel the need to lock the doors?

Maybe she started locking the doors after SA wanted his TShirt. Really, there is alot of dysfunction noted with all the adults in this case. Really , my primary concern is the children in the homes of these parents, in both households.,Some children have it so hard because of the choices of the parents.

OK..I'm kinda done with the 'dispatcher thing'..or defending my position on it anyway would prolly be a better way to put it. It is what it is imho :)...

Billie's voice has the same lack of inflection in the 911 call as it does in her interviews. I think that is just her voice. I would think she would be pretty freaked out when making that call, but her voice stays smooth.

Pills. I think she may have been taking pills for awhile. Notice the suicide threat. [ gonna take some pills]

  • #209
I wonder if SA's work has video security? I would think they would if they have chemicals etc. I woud love to know if they have him on video grabbing something other than a Dr. Pepper!

The call with him saying she was suicidal and threatening to take a bunch of pills really worried me. If she was suicidal why would she care about him threatening to kill her? What if he really was planning on hurting BD and made that call so when she ended up dead they would have it on record that someone was worried about her being suicidal?
It almost made me hope she did really say that...

Exactly! All we know is that SA called to tell police that BD was suicidal. Why would he care if that were true? he is the one who wanted her dead, according to his threats! I agree, he was probably just trying to make it look like she was the one who was "MHMR". Sounds like Drew Peterson type behavior to me. Typical abuser crap! MOO

It was a billieys and we've heard alot of things.Watching NG,BD just said Hailey was just watching tv when she went to bed, last week she said she was playing the xbox.

I know DD said he saw HD playing XBox. Did BD say it as well? I can only remember her saying the bed part, but then it's been a long few weeks with lots of information, misinformation and reinformation thrown at us.

Loved the lawyer's Quote about SA refusing to talk to Billie....

"If you have nothing to hide...then hide nothing!'

Then Nancy Grace asked him..."Is That why you don't put your people on the stand...because you know that they ARE guilty" The guy said "yes you are right Nancy!

They are also talking about DD....BD said that he told her that Hailey was playing His X-box in His Bedroom @ about 9:00....This is new info...I figured the X-Box was in the Living Room so that the whole family could play it...strange?????

Then BD said that she saw Hailey in her own bed watching TV @ 10:00...But didn't DD say that the game she was playing would have taken her until midnight....Strange??

DEAR GOD...PLEASE BRING HAILEY HOME

Dear Sleuthers-- I am as bowled over as I think all of you are. I had a few minutes of anger regarding the 911 tapes but have now mostly recovered my composure. But there is an old saying that "the truth shall set you free." Because of what has been revealed, I have more clarity regarding the relationship between the only named suspect, SA, and BD, and about what may have happened to Hailey.
Thank you, Tricia, for reminding us of our purpose here -- to help find Hailey and to bring her home. And if she is no longer on this Earth, to bring her justice. It is exciting to have MK and his organization involved, and I know our SAR thread (and the Websleuths Astrology Forum) have lots of good ideas as to where to search.

I am proud to be involved with Websleuths and know we can make a difference in this case --and help solve this mystery and bring Hailey home.
BBM-
It is true......

Someone may beat me to it, but I'll tell you exactly why they dislike them. This direct from a cop (who was the arresting officer when I was burglarized by a neighbor when I happened to be home).

They dislike them because usually the vic doesn't want the abuser to be arrested, because officers themselves are sometimes physically attacked by the victim. They dislike them because the abused often go back to/stand behind the abuser. Imagine the frustration, and knowing that they are as least as exciting as a bank robbery because they themselves are potentially physically endangered. In the specific example he gave me, his partner was cuffing a man who they caught holding a knife to a woman-and the woman attempted to hit the officer in the head with a cast iron skillet while crying that the cop was "hurting him". This was over thirty years ago but I never forgot.

IME, IMO

Yes or no, did the debit card incident happen in addition to this or not?

Not so odd for a 16 year-old to hoard the x-box in his room, then he doesn't have to share:rocker:. DD was guessing how long Hailey would be playing, he didn't know for sure since he wasn't home. She could have easily played for an hour, saved her game and moved on. IDK. BD now states it was 10 or 11:00 is when Hailey was watching TV in bed.

Dunn: “I broke up with this guy a couple days ago and he’s a little ‘MHMR.' He’s telling me that he’s going to kill me and my ex-husband. And it’s going to be remembered for a long time.”

http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=332786

That statement there bothers me more than anything has. There is NO telling what he has done.

Very, very disturbing imo. Sounds like he had something specific yet horrific in mind.

GRACE: Now, what time did you see her last, the night before?

DUNN: I saw her about 10:00 or 11:00 in her bedroom.

GRACE: Was she still playing games?

DUNN: No. She was watching TV, laying in bed.

I guess I kept putting myself in that situation. I would be annoyed if someone acted like that toward me. Trust me I woke up in the OR with the Dr. singing Celine Dion at the top of her lungs. Chit happends.

Believe it or not, I have woke up in surgery before! No, they weren't talking smack about me ..but I could hear them talking and feel pressure in my stomach, but couldn't say anything...TERRIFYING...oh..and I was 16 years old ...

Keep in mind that an Xbox can be moved from room to room very easily. They could have been playing in the lounge and then moved it upstairs to the bedroom
