RESPECTFULLY ASKING.......Why was this not brought up last night when CZ made that dramatic post? and no I did not realize that it is a TOS and appreciate you posting this so we all know now. Thank you

I walked away from the monitor just now and KNEW someone would ask this. :) I do need to clarify.

Cz's post about leaving was indeed a thread exit post. Thread exit posts are a TOS violation and should result in a long time out. FORUM exit posts, like "I'm not posting on WS anymore!" are subject to immediate ban.

We looked at Cz's post last night and because she is in the thick of things in this case, we let the post stand this one time. There is always an exception to the rule. If she were to come back and do it again, then you will most likely see a different result.

This is why I didn't pull out the ray gun this morning. I was afraid there is some confusion.

Carry on ~

Sounds like she wasn't afraid of him anymore? Before, she was afraid he would come INTO HER ROOM... Now she is sleeping outside her room where he has every right to be. I suggested before that if I was concerned about someone standing in my doorway watching me sleep, I'd sleep with the door closed. I certainly would not put myself in a MORE vulnerable position... :twocents:

OR think of it this way...in the den she is behind NO closed door, where anyone can walk through...at any time...(mom, brother). Maybe she thought that something was less likely to occur (thus felt safer) in an open area than behind a closed door. The den was a communal area.

I am NOT saying this is the case, as I have no idea what went on in their daily routine. Just trying to provide an alternate point of view.

I can't find the meda link from a few pages back that said people left SA grandma's house with a tote...........could it be the KlassKids workers????
SA gave them something they wanted or needed???? Just a thought

The sulfuric acid. I'm wondering could it be possible that you dig a hole, put something in it and then pour the acid into the hole? Nope, I wouldn't think so as the acid would just disperse into the ground and soil around it (kinda like when you water plants). So, if a hole was dug, you would have to case it - like put a piece of pipe or something into the hole to seal off the sides and then you would have to put something at the bottom as well. SA had access to all these materials that would be needed.
just watched a case yesterday on 48 hours where a guy burried a body in a container... buried the whole thing...

I was also thinking along the lines ((after seeing the doctor on NG)) that the actual huge vats that have been mentioned need to be checked...

why take acid to a body when you can take the body to the acid???

not to be gross...

I think the acronym is correct that she used - MHMR is the Texas Department of Mental Health and Retardation. Like someone in Texas said, the acronym is used to describe a patient as well. My guess is she was doing just that in her phone call - as the person on the phone with her didn't ask what that meant but seemed to understand.

When I first read it w/o knowing what the MHMR is, I thought she was trying to say either MMR or MMH (both of which describe the same thing), but somehow got the two acronyms merged into one. Or using them both - "he's a little MH -- MR" -- but it got typed as one. That is actually my field of expertise - and hear people use all kinds of acronyms to try to describe it at times, especially since the terminology has changed a little over the years.

Once I heard what MHMR is, I still think she was saying the same thing but using the acronym commonly used in Texas to describe such a person.

JMHO

I worked for Tx MHMR for several years, I have never heard a person described with that acronym but it's possible, I guess. Nurses tend to use acronyms for everything. I worked strictly for the MR side, but some of the clients had a dual diagnosis, both MH and MR... we just didn't deal with that phase of it.
I do know that there is a high level of privacy issues.. we were never allowed to identify them publicly, or even to another patient as being a patient. We could ID them to LE if necessary, because they were sometimes called in for various reasons.
The state also made some changes right before I left. We were told we could no longer refer to them as patients, or clients, or customers. They were called consumers. I have no idea what they're called now, it's been 10 years since I retired that job.

Does anyone happen to have a transcript or a link to the 911 tapes?
.

I transcribed the three calls since I didn't see them anywhere and I know not everyone can watch the videos:

Call 1:

Hello my name is Billie. I’m at work in Snyder, and I’m calling because my boyfriend and I just broke up yesterday. What he is saying is he is going to go into my house to get his t-shirt and I don’t want him in there while I am gone because I don’t know what he will take.

(Ok)

And I just don’t trust him enough to go in there. Is there any way any body can keep an eye over there?

(Ok, Billie, what is your last name?)

Dunn. D-U-N-N.

(And what is your address?)

It’s 1804 Chestnut Street.

(And what is his name?)

His name is Shawn Adkins.

(Shawn Adkins?)

Yes, A-D-K-I-N-S.

(Ok, and he wants to get his t-shirt?)

Yeah, apparently he left his t-shirt over there when he spent the night one night.

(Ok, is that everything that belongs to him at that residence?)

Yeah, I believe so. I have done all the laundry and I think that’s it. He’s wanting to go in there. He knows I don’t lock up like my windows. Sometimes I don’t even lock the doors, and he knows that. So am kinda worried he could walk out with a TV or anything – my son’s xBox. Another thing - my 15-yr-old son may be there also. He stayed with a friend last night but he may be home by now. So I don’t want him going over there causing problems with him either.

(Who is your 15-yr-old son?)

DD and he doesn’t have a phone. There is not a house phone, he doesn’t have a cell phone.

(What is your phone number, Billie?)

My cell is 🤬🤬🤬-🤬🤬🤬-xxxx.

(Ok, what I can do is advise the officer now. They can’t go and just stand there by yall’s house.)

I know.

(I will let him know.)

Ok.

(Ok)

Thank you.

(Bye.)

Bye.

2nd call:

(Colarado City Police Department. J***** speaking.)

Hi, J*****. I really need to file a report on somebody and I don’t have a car to get down there.

(Ok, where are you at?)

I am at 1804 Chestnut.

(Hold on one second….What is your name?)

Billie Dunn.

(Billie Dunn. What exactly happened?)

I broke up with this guy a couple of days ago and he is a little MHMR, and he is telling me that he is going to kill me and my ex-husband and that it is going to be remembered for a long time. He keeps on texting me and texting me and I texted back just to try to calm him down a little but he said it’s going to happen.

(Ok and what is your phone number?)

***-****

(Ok. I will send an officer over to 1804 Chestnut.)

Thank you.

(---dispatch transfers over to police line----)

(Yes?) (←police answering)

You the officer on duty?

(For now.)

I got a lady at 1804 Chestnut that wants to file a report on her ex-husband because he is threatening to kill her.

(Dammit! 1804 Chestnut?)

Yeah, it’s Billie Dunn.

(Oh God! She’s been going all day. Alright I’ll go up there.)

Ok.

(Bye.)

Bye.

3rd call:

J*****, this is officer W over at Snyder.

(Uh-huh.)

I’ve got a Billie Dunn that’s living over there at 1806 Chestnut. We got a call over here from her boyfriend saying she was gonna – she’s possibly suicidal – threatening to take a bunch of pills, things like that. We went over to the house she is supposedly staying at which is her mom’s. Her mom is saying she’s in over at your – her address there is C City.

(Ok – we’ve been having a big problem with those two all day.)

Ok.

(And I’ll let you in on a loop about this. She recently – I don’t know if it’s divorce or broke up – I thought they were married. So she recently divorced him.)

Ok.

(And earlier I had a officer go out to her location while I was on duty because she called in saying that he was threatening to physically harm her and or kill her. )

Mmm hmmm.

(So the officer went out to that situation – took all the information for that call. And earlier before that we received a call from her saying – she’s been the complainant here because he’s over in another area. )

Mmm hmmm.

(He’s complaining to other Police Departments.)

Ok.

(So you’re saying we need a welfare check on her because she’s suicidal?)

That’s from what we understand.

(Do you know where she’s at?)

1806 Chestnut is what we have.

(It’s 1804.)

1804? Ok..

(Let’s see…)

Cause we’re at her mom’s house.

(I’ll write the address just in case.)

Ok.

(And I’ll give this information to my officer. What is your name?)

W***. W-*-*-*.

(And you’re an officer in Snyder?)

Yes.

(What is the radio number for you?)

***.

(Ok, just verifying.)

Alright.

(Thank you much.)

Thank you.

IMO, people in CCity aren't worried about some one kidnapping their children off the streets, so I get the impression they all suspect the suspect...JMOO

I have no firsthand experience with Texas MHMR - I got that from here:

I live in TX and am a nurse and MHMR has always meant mentally handicapped...always referred to people with special needs...mental health and mental retardation. Whenever we would put in for a MHMR eval it was because the patient usually needed some sort of psych eval. HTH...

Good catch. Texasmom, you just said you have huge vats of acid all around you. Are these "vats" like water towers (only smaller)? Like maybe you could climb up to the top of one and open the hatch and just "drop something in"? Or are they more of like a spigot for a hose and you use another recepticle to catch what you remove? I would think they would have a "ventilation point".

I sure hope LE and the appropriate personnel have checked these "vats".

Most times when its a domestic dispute and LE gets there and both parties are equally "at each other" unless there is physical violence (which we didn't have here) there really isn't much LE can do.

Yes, they took SA down to the station, probably for the threats (that were texted by him and proven by reading BD's phone). So, it was established that yes, he made those threats. However, once they removed him from the situation and given him some time to calm down, they talked to him and concluded that he really wasn't MHMR - just an angry, spurned bf on Valentine's Day. So, they (LE) wrote up a statement that did say SA asmitted to making those threats and he signed it. LE did that so that if anything did happened in the coming days, they already had a jump on what his involvement could possibly be.

In a situation like this LE is reactive, not proactive. They can't make anyone do anything - remember we have rights here. All they can do is document, warn and hope the situation is over. KWIM?

Correct. If two adults have an on-again-off-again relationship that is dysfunctional that is their choice. Some people and some couples thrive on that kind of drama.
After talking to both parties it may have been determined it was a domestic arguement and people needed to cool off. The threats were documented as the should have been....why no charges? Maybe that info. will come out later.

laura recovery center facebook page... requesting volunteers they have a lot of area to cover and need help

I live in a rural area and have a pretty good idea of how much area they have to cover. It is a crying shame to me the mother, IMO, seems more interested in making excuses for the boyfriend than trying to narrow that area down.

We are talking about HUNDREDS of square miles. HUNDREDS. What kind of resources is it going to take to even put a dent in that?

it was on last night's nancy grace... I just watched it...

she said DD saw Hailey in his bedroom at 9pm when he left and she was playing the xbox ((BD than says SHE "thinks" he had left earlier))

She told NG the last time she, BD, saw Hailey that night was between 10-11pm in her room and she was in the bed watching tv.

fwiw...

Trying to open the window of time that she kind of locked herself into on NG IMO.

DD says that based on her skill level and where she left off in that game, she should have been playing for about 3 hours after he left.

So if LE came and questioned that timeline again the day after that interview, they would have told her that HD could not have been playing the game for one hour only between 9-10pm. So the next night the timeline expands, DD may have left earlier than 9pm and she may have seen HD closer to 11pm.

That's pretty much how it seems to be going. No wonder LE are frustrated. :banghead:

I too am interested to hear more from Texasmom or any locals on these vats of acid... how big they are... are they in remote areas, etc...

most xbox games have auto save... so your progress is saved to the hardrive on the box. ((which is detachable btw))...

that means when they took the xbox they will know exactly how long Hailey was playing the game (or at least a good approximation) as well as when the machine was turned off etc.

the xbox is a computer.

No, I have never seen these vats of acid people are talking of,,,, I said,,,,I am a little scared thinking I have these huge vats of acid around me,,,,,,

its one thing to defend your lifestyle....its another to defend the number one suspect in your childs disappearance.....moo

Respectfully, Billie may just have a hard time believing that the man she loved could be capable of killing her daughter, and just can't accept it because that means she has no hope left. She said recently that hope is all she has, and that is true. She HAS to hang on to that hope, because once the reality sets in, she is going to fall apart, mentally and physically.
It's one thing to call 911 and tell the cops that someone threatened you or your child's life... it's another thing to actually be faced with the reality that your child is missing and your lover MAY have murdered her. Not as easy to deal with emotionally.
