Yep she sure did. I must just associate xanax and ativan. Point was it is not a narcotic and nothing was ever said about ativan on the papers for the warrant like that article said.

The first Friday they had it set up for us to take, we had taken Ativan the night before to go to sleep. They didn`t tell us we couldn`t have anxiety medicine. So when we were able to get it set up again -- Shawn had actually called them and asked them if he could come down and take it yet, and they said yes. They came, picked him up. He took his. I went in. They told me he failed it. I lost it, of course. I told them I had so much faith in that test

Ativan to go to sleep. Or pain medication and antibiotics for a toothache. Something like that.

They didn't tell them they couldn't have anxiety medicine. Or they told them not to take any anxiety medication. Something like that.

BILLIE DUNN: No. But they knew I had taken some pain medicine and antibiotics for a bad tooth. They told us not to take any anxiety medication. I didn`t know I was going to take the test that day.

Geez Louise.

“To me, I think it’d be more than just considered runaway,” Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs told the Reporter-News on Sunday night. His agency has interviewed several of Hailey’s classmates to help Colorado City police. Toombs said Texas Rangers also have assisted in the case.

Looks like the Rangers were there from pretty early on. I don't think it was BD and CD calling them that got them involved.

Then again, if LE reaction when she called was "yeah, right, you again" they may have needed to go to an agency that did not have a pre-formed opinion of the situation. jmo.

Not just NG but this has been HORRIBLE reporting all around.

So true. The sheriff needs to spread the criticism around and point at the City Manager as well. The word games are leaving the media to read between the lines.

There is that old saying, "If you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen."

BD should not have made that ratings remark. If it werent for the show she probably never would have been connected to MK.
This is putting him in the middle of her and NG. jmo

count on another outlet WHO IS TRYING TO HELP HER DAUGHTER officially offended... most likely questioning....and out of the loop.

what an idiotic move imhoo...

((((I am actually disgusted... I am going to go retrieve an old barf bag from a flight that I have stored in my room... ))))))

this is my opinion okay but I am so disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear I read he'd gone to a friend's house. I'll have to dig for it.

me too...i mean all along hasn't the story been both kids were spending the night with a friend?

Lordy, ... WHY does Mr. Kampfer appear to be unable to make a statement or answer a question without contradicting himself???

But everyone shrugs and jokes about it. Why can't we give Billie the same courtesy, instead of assuming she is LYING because she DID SOMETHING or KNOWS SOMETHING...?

LOL

Its just BD complaining because she doesn't like the way Nancy grace portrays her.

Although I found this little tidbit interesting:

"Anything bad that they can find on us, true or untrue, they put up there over and over and over again,"
US?? Is she referring to her and SA? "Us" as in a couple?

She doesn't like how the show is portraying SA. And since she said earlier that she doesn't think SA is involved, I am willing to bet the "untrue" things she references are the videos and murder stories.

She is fundamentally contradicting herself here. If "she'll continue to do whatever it takes to get her daughter's face in the media" then she shouldn't be complaining, because sometimes not looking like the greatest mother in the world is okay - especially if it means you might find out what happened to your daughter.

I wonder if SA has complained to BD about how he is being portrayed and that is what lead to this gem of an article.

Just using this portion to bounce off Mr Bean.

Interestingly, BD uses the past tense when speaking of Hailey. At first I figured that her unique way of speaking may have used past tense because she was talking of the past, except that once her son is included in the sentence, she switches to present tense.

BD either knows for sure, or in her heart that Hailey is not coming home safely.
It goes a little way toward explaining why her appeals to Hailey appeared forced or uncomfortable.

All just observations and opinions.

No I think it's going to be more like this :pillowfight:

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Oh My...lol you crack me up..I can actually envision this

Actually, I believe he was asked who LE should be looking at and he said "both of us". I read enough true crime to know that if MY daughter/stepdaughter disappeared, the police "should" first look at "both of" her parents before looking at outsiders. I think he was acknowledging this, and telling them that he "knows how this works".

Okay, if God forbid, one of your kids were missing, and you found yourself in a polygraph room, and they asked you who they should be looking at, would you say " BOTH OF US" referring to you and hubby?

I mean just because statistics say that it is highly probable, that doesn't seem to be what LE was asking. It seems like they are asking " who should we look at" ----as in who do you think is responsible.

all that matters right now seriously is finding Hailey..

this protective bubble... banning media... slashing media crap has got to stop...

does BD not know that if we do not find Hailey soon that all this will be gone.. that her platform for getting the word out is GONE?

Sigh...

look... I understand that not all families tuck their kids into their individual beds every night with fluffy down comforters.. I know that kids sleep where they want to sleep and that parents want them to sleep ... so if they land on the couch, etc... it's all good! my own kid, the same age as Hailey is found most mornings on top of the heat vent in his room. ((he also scares the drum teacher with his night vision goggles so badly that the teacher is afraid to even drive in our drive-way for lessons without a pea shooter LOL))

but this all of a sudden "let's go to the police department" by BD does NOT FIT with her sort of detached, let the kids run around, leave all the doors and windows to the house unlocked, not confirm where my daughter spent the night self!
it does not compute for me at all!

It seems downright out of her parental-style character...!

**also note... did she go check clint's before the PD report? She has not mentioned it if she has..

I haven't read all the threads/posts here, and I'm not following the case as intently as some others. That said, I have similar thoughts about the lack of parental monitoring in BD's home. I don't want to pass judgment on Hailey's mother when her daughter is missing, but I get the impression that there wasn't much supervision in the home. I realize that it was Christmas vacation and that BD had to go to work, but there seemed to be no accountability regarding Hailey's whereabouts. BD has changed her story about when and where she saw Hailey at different times of the day over the holiday weekend.

Maybe my age is showing, but my DD didn't have the freedom to wander around anywhere without my knowing where she was going, with whom, and when she would be back. There weren't any malls/stores nearby, so if she was going somewhere with friends, they would have had to be driven to and from their destination. Perhaps I'm guilty of having "over-programmed" her with ballet classes, piano lessons, community theatre productions, etc., but she didn't venture too far from home without being supervised by adults known to me. Her girls are kept on a pretty short leash, too. jmo

I don't see many giving him a break. The jokes have been digs for the most part. Besides, he's not connected to the case the same way Billie and SA are. I really don't think the guy knows much but wants to appear that he does.

kampfer doesn't have a missing child.....in all respect

her actions are just strange to me and many others....not saying she did something to hailey

Because his daughter is not missing but Billie's is.

I remember a few days ago when some were quite upset over how the "expert" was describing what a dead Hailey would look like after weeks in the field.

I would be a little offended over ratings myself.....

NG will probably drop this case. She doesnt need another MD on her hands.

Unbelievable! :maddening:

I kinda saw it coming though. First, LE was mean to Billie. Then, the public was mean to Billie. Now, Nancy Grace is mean to Billie. Nancy Grace picked up her story, undoubtedly helped her get more LE and exposure dedicated to her daughter, has treated Billie more softly and fairly than I think she actually deserved, criticized and took hits from LE for defending Billie, probably helped get MK to go and support Billie on behalf of her daughter.... And, now, Billie is complaining about Nancy Grace. Just unbelievable.

I think Billie knows that NG is on to her and she's afraid to go back on because she's been unable to keep her story straight from interview to interview. I don't think Billie will be back on NG.

No disrespect to anyone who agrees with Billie on this issue; I'm just floored that she's criticizing the local media (for publishing affidavits) and NG - two sources that gave her the most opportunity to help find her daughter (though she failed to take proper advantage of that exposure)...

May Hailey be found soon...

Coming up in just a couple of days Hailey will have been missing for a MONTH..It's hard to believe that we know so little for a fact almost 4 weeks in..As long as LE knows plenty, that's all that really matters..but a month later and we still don't even know the basics..not for sure anyway...
