Reading it over again, though, I have to think that if the LEO was not convinced from whatever info he received, from whatever source it came, that there was a party on New Year's Eve, he would not have included it in the affidavit. There would be no point I can think of.

They wanted the search warrant so they would have included everything they had, true or not, to support probable cause. From the affidavit it sounded more like someone had called in a tip (probably a neighbor who saw people there - you know what neighbors are like) that there was a party and that was never verified.

The LEO was trying to get a warrant for a car and 2 phones. He offered no PROOF (didn't need to,imo) to the "sworn statements". Just did snippets.

I, for one, would LOVE to see the sworn affidavits of BD and SA that the LEO refers to. Context, etc. It's sort of like taking snippets of the NG transcripts to FIT what "you" think/surmise/speculate about. It's about CONTEXT. JMO.

I'm not trying to fit any part of this to anything. My quest is always to find out the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, of what happened to these little victims - no matter what that may be. I do my very best to be objective in that quest.

I do understand that this is merely a search warrant affidavit, and how the standard of proof differs from a trial.

All that being said, I see no reason for the LEO to have mentioned in the affidavit that there was a party unless he'd received information that convinced him that there was.

I see no signs that Shawn and Billie are being railroaded.

If the LEO was mistaken, or encounters additional info that changes his mind, I'm sure we'll eventually find that out.

For now, I think there was a party.

If that is part of the ploy it would be because she never showed up at her friend's or her father's. I think it fits if this was deceit on BD's part.

When others say that we should "focus on finding Hailey first and then worry about SA later," what does that mean? How do you do that, in practical terms?
OK, Let's all focus on finding Hailey...focus, everyone...focus.

How does that find her? I just don't understand that as a practical statement of reality.

Also, we know that LE is searching for Hailey...living or deceased. They are not going to stop searching if they think she is deceased. There is no precedent for that by LE anywhere. There are still searches going on for children and adults who have been missing for years. No one is going to quit looking for Hailey...or caring for her.

Unfortunately, the simplest and most obvious answer is usually the correct answer. The guilty people are right in front of us, folks....and they are acting pretty dang confident, if you ask me. *spit*

LE has a lot Suspects until they are name we have to sit on our hands

I don't know anything about HUB housing but I still think they got to give you more time than that. Does anyone know the rules on that?

Beside the fact that a child is missing and a small child in household..it doesn't seem very fair to put extra burden on a family.

I didn't watch NG yet,was she on tonight?Once she stops going on there and talking to the media,alot of things will come out that they're holding back now,because they know she'll stop talking to them.So on one hand,her talking keeps showing her inconsistencies,on the other hand,her worries about things coming out about her and SA will come true.

There's the assumption that the affidavits are right and BD is lying. Kampfer represents law enforcement in this case, and the way he is doing it casts doubt on how accurate LE's reporting (in the affidavit, specifically) really is. He doesn't seem to have any idea what is going on.

As reported, DD left his home with BD around 9:00 pm to spend the night with a friend on Dec. 26th (MONDAY). He saw HD playing with Xbox and THOUGHT she should play until around midnight depending on her level of play.

MONDAY... Dec. 26th. NOT Tuesday when (as reported) she told SA that she was going to her dad's house and then to MB.

Everyone needs to keep the days straight, IMO.

I agree with you and I noticed this the other day. Why all of a sudden the next day would she want someone to call HD when she didn't even check on her the night before. That bothers me too and makes no sense. jmo

IIRC BD said she was irritated because HD didnt check with her first before going to MB for the night, Maybe she didnt call because she was irritated and didnt want to upset Hailey or maybe she didnt call to check on her because she had no reason to believe Haileys wasn't where she should have been

The sad part is we can pick apart and say I would have , She should have ect over lots of things but the truth is everyone lets thier gaurd down sometimes for instance how many people go grocery shopping and leave the child sitting in the cart while you are loading your groceries in the cart instead of putting your child in the vehicle first because groceries are replacable children are not...Simple things people every days dismiss and don't think about happen to even the best and MODEL parents.

It is pretty harsh, but maybe they had been warned before. This might not have been the first violation. That would be a reason I could think of. jmo

I kinda saw it coming though. First, LE was mean to Billie. Then, the public was mean to Billie. Now, Nancy Grace is mean to Billie. Nancy Grace picked up her story, undoubtedly helped her get more LE and exposure dedicated to her daughter, has treated Billie more softly and fairly than I think she actually deserved, criticized and took hits from LE for defending Billie, probably helped get MK to go and support Billie on behalf of her daughter.... And, now, Billie is complaining about Nancy Grace. Just unbelievable.

I think Billie knows that NG is on to her and she's afraid to go back on because she's been unable to keep her story straight from interview to interview. I don't think Billie will be back on NG.

No disrespect to anyone who agrees with Billie on this issue; I'm just floored that she's criticizing the local media (for publishing affidavits) and NG - two sources that gave her the most opportunity to help find her daughter (though she failed to take proper advantage of that exposure)...

May Hailey be found soon...

I think Billie is frustrated. People seem to be more interested in the minutia and her private life than finding Hailey. This is about Hailey now. When they find her, whether alive or dead, we will have all the time in the world to speculate and gossip.
