Is it just me or does it seem that Sheriff Toombs pretty much believes SA is the main suspect?

Sounds like it to me. Didn't he also say they're trying to narrow it down to one person? I think he is the ONLY suspect, but I could be wrong.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of case they're building against him, since they don't have Hailey or a body. What's the charges? Don't they need something definite, like real evidence, to hand over to a GJ?? They must have something we haven't heard yet.

Yeah I think it was those blood hounds. The only thing we have heard for sure is the cadaver dogs going to the landfills.

And here again, if HD was back into her old habit of sleeping on the couch, the sheets would be fine.

So LE took the sheets,but BD is saying she gave the sheets so the dogs could track Hailey,reminds me of HaLeigh's case.Also the couches that Hailey had slept on were thrown in the back of SA's pickup,interesting.

I agree. I understand why she defends him to a point, I'd want to believe him, not to protect him but because believing SA is involved means giving up hope that Hailey is alive.

I'm reading Sharon Rocha's book, "For Lacey," right now. In it, in explaining why it took some time for her to disbelieve Scott Peterson, she expresses exactly that. She also says that she and her husband learned a lot from the media before hearing it from the police. There was quite a lot held back from them as a protective measure if they were to end up as witnesses.

It's a heartbreaker of a book.
