Bottom line is: BD is apparently a liar. Pretty much everything she has relayed to this forum via anyone posting here on her behalf is also possibly a lie.

Question: is anyone really surprised?

I want everyone that reads this thread to remember this and how it is a PERFECT example of why families in crime cases need a good spokesperson.

That is what I thought....which is why the wording sounding like they bracketed actual phone calls sounds odd. I wonder if they had routing information for the calls when they wrote up the affidavit, but not the complete ping history for the phones at that time.

I'm going to TRY and find that in Caylee's forum. I'm not good at using the search features, but the same question came up in another recent case (can't remember which one tho) and I wouldn't be as sure as I am if it wasn't for that...I'm not positive though..lemme see if I can find it..

Beau Berman: Do you ever just stop and look at her pictures as you walk through the house?

Billie Jean Dunn: "Sometimes I stare at them all day long and other times I can't look at them at all."

huh? What mother of a missing child CAN'T LOOK AT HER PICTURE?

Beau Berman: Do you ever think back to December 27th and kind of retrace through your mind and just think "what if"?

Billie Jean Dunn: "Yeah, all the time. I wish I wouldn't have gone to work that day. I wish I would have called her that night".

How would her not going to work that day have changed anything? Hailey would have just told BD herself that she was going to dad's and then MB's. I don't get this statement at all.

She means she can't look at the pictures because she misses her so much.

The not going to work that day means that if she had been there she would have known for sure what happened, at least until HD left. At the moment she doesn't know, she just has the say so of others, and that uncertainty about what actually happened is killing her.

Ok the affidavits state that there were 3 calls observed on SA's phone to a "Billie". When they asked to see his phone again, he had deleted them.
So did she have her phone that day?
If she did, then who's phone was Hailey supposedly using the day she disappeared?
I see SA's cellular is with Verizon also, like one of mine is.
They are all equipped with the GPS location chip.
You have to turn it on or off. It would record where the phone was at all times, whether the cell was in use or not.
Call me confused.

Still looking..but here is one post regarding pings....

This poster seems to know what they are talking about, everyone seems to agree in that thread that the battery does have to be removed to keep it from pinging..Here's a link to the thread if anyone wants to look further..

I had the volume turned all the way up on my computer from listening to a video with poor sound earlier......and I had forgot that I was still logged into facebook. I'm all bent over reading in the dark and someone sent me a message and I did this:

:panic:

It's time for bed. Tomorrow is another day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for finding that and I understand where the confusion comes from but the phone does have to be on to ping. However LE can have a phone turned on remotely by the provider when tracking criminals or missing persons to get this ping information. The only way they can not do this is for a person to remove the battery or if the battery is dead.

MOO

Maybe Gloria Allred should give her a call?

I'm so glad you guys are good at links, because I couldn't remember where I had read that.I wanted to state if they were already arguing,it could have escalated Sunday night or into Monday when SA got back.

Definitely.

Personally, I find the hairdresser very credible.
It was odd that BD first said that she didn't think the woman's reported sighting of Hailey was correct.
Later on she corrects this, confirming that the hairdresser was very familiar with Hailey.
I just prefer to think that Ms. Dunn was under a lot of stress and was having trouble remembering everything.
Did the woman's report of seeing Hailey walking down the street with a younger child get verified any further?
TIA

edited to add: guess I will be around asking such questions for a while since tomorrow is my day off and I don't have to wear my scrubs:) My main focus in my education and work is in psychology/human behavior and psychiatric issues, so this is very interesting on many levels.
But this is for Hailey, not a case study.

Not exactly what I would say.. but yet again I have never had a child missing. Nothing here to say she is guilty or knew of anything that might have happened to her child.

http://www.cbs7kosa.com/news/details.asp?ID=23579

True..and we all are different..Having said that, I'm sitting here right now looking at a picture of my deceased child. It's been 36 years and I can't imagine NOT having it out and looking at him daily. People are different when it comes to that though.

What I do take from reading that is that it is more likely than not (unless arrest(s) are made first) is that SA will be back in that house very shortly..AND that Billie's priorities are way out of whack...MOO

Above red-type is mine; just couldn't resist reminding folks. :banghead:

ETA: Of course, a true addict would be inclined to spend more time DENYING this than accepting it and working on changing it. And a guilty conscience might be more inclined to be obsessed with this remark rather than to focus on actions to resolve a missing child. Just my opinion.

Billie Jean Dunn: "Yeah. I do have lots of trouble sleeping. I wake up in the morning and the first thought in my head is that Hailey's not here. It's the worst nightmare you can imagine"

How nice for you Billie that you "wake up in the morning".

The fact that "you wake up in the morning" shows that you sleep.

IMO, if you, Billie Jean Dunn, are experiencing the "worst nightmare you can imagine' - you wouldn't be able to sleep at all right now, let alone "wake up in the morning".

How do I know this? Because I've been there, Billie Dunn!

I've experienced the nightmare that you are experiencing. If you care to know the details - you're welcome to peruse my early posts where I shared my personal story involving my own daughter.

There is no "waking up in the morning" - because there is no falling asleep.

ETA: I just want to add that my beautiful daughter survived - and I cherish her to this day. Nevertheless, I know what it feels like to fear for her life. I vomited upon hearing the 911 calls when I heard her kidnapper's voice - threatening to murder her.

I also know what it feels like to hear my daughter's abductor on a 911 call tell my beautiful daughter that he was going to push my daughter's face "in the dirt" when he was threatening to murder her.

Billie - why are you so afraid of the searchers finding Hailey in the dirt?

Did Shawn threaten to put you in the "dirt" or threaten to push your face in the dirt in the past?

Did he threaten to do that to your daughter Hailey?
