BeanE: Just catching up. I found the PDF of Billie's unofficial time line. There are asterisks next to all of the sightings ruled out by LE on 12/27, but no denotation as to what the asterisks mean. Did you see any other version that indicates to the press that those asterisks mean "unconfirmed" or "ruled-out"? TIA!

Only saw first part of the youtube video before it broke on me - will catch the KTXS version later. I am desperately clinging to the hope that Hailey will be found alive. While I wish it didn't need to be scripted for Billie, I was therefore pleased to see her address Hailey first off and say very nice things about and to Hailey. The plea to have a possible perp take her somewhere made much more sense than the NG plea to run and call 911. I thought Billie also seemed more clear-headed. Again, haven't seen anything beyond this point in the video, but if Hailey is out there somewhere, this was a good address by Billie, imo. (If she really started pointing fingers at LE and CD later, what a shame, because she started off well, imo).

I posted yesterday that if Billie used this press conference to resurrect ruled-out sightings, I think I might scream. So, :yow: AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Okay, done. Seriously, this was a bad move, imo. They were checked out by the FBI thoroughly; it doesn't help Hailey to have muddy information of her last whereabouts floating around, it only helps Billie. Bringing up the sighting that was ruled out so long ago (first sighting reported, I think) with MB+HD+unknown boy at night on 12/27 surprised me a little. While it's the only one that makes Hailey alive after Shawn says he saw her leave the house, it's also the easiest to refute. It involves 3 people, MB has been fully interrogated by FBI (confirmed by mom C. Garcia) and possibly poly'd, and the locale likely has some surveillance video. I really wish Billie would have focused on what she knows and what she saw (truthfully) and not criticize LE because they cannot verify the story that she wants to believe.

Bombshell:
The only real shocker for me today did not come from the press conference. It came from the article about the PC; the Kampfer quote that confirmed Billie is not a POI and has been ruled out. I don't know if she took another poly or if LE is just taking the label off or what changed, but he is the LE spokesperson and as such, I take it as fact that Billie in not a person of interest to LE at this time. Likewise, Kampfer and LE confirm that SA is a suspect and that nobody saw Hailey outside the house on 12/27, so I continue to regard these as facts as well.

It's all about finding Hailey...

from the video today: DD had walked over to CD's with BD's phone, and DD called BD back from there, and asked DD to put his Dad on the phone. So he would have had her phone in his hand, and could have called the PD.

I think Billie can't stand that Clint and his girlfriend are not getting looked at as suspects, yet her love, SA, is. I think that is driving her nuts and making her say less- than- wise things.

Well, gosh golly bum...I guess Shawn's co workers are lying too..The affidavit stated that he walked in, got his soda turned and left without speaking to anyone. So did SA clean his locker out and his coworkers are lying about that as well..or is LE lying in the affidavit?. See, that's my problem..in order to believe Billie and/or Shawn..I have to believe that a whole lotta people are lying on them or misconstruing the facts..and that includes LE..:waiting:..that's not a hard call for me..

I've listened to the pc twice and skimmed over the transcript (Thanks, Belimom, that was incredible and FAST!) and call me a Koolaid drinker if you must, but my heart really goes out to BD.

She clarified between what she knows and what she was told later by DD and SA.

When she brought up the Monday witnesses, she said she didn't understand why LE had ruled them out. I understand, because I'm an objective sideliner, but BD's daughter is missing. IMO, if I were in her shoes, I would be angry and questioning, and IMO, since LE has already come out with 'these witnesses can't be corroborated', I don't see how it hurts their investigation in any way to explain to BD, not me, but BD, why that is so. It's also my opinion if she can't see why these witnesses don't stack up, that puts the last sighting of Hailey at 8:30pm, which IMO gives her a lot of reason to be wondering why they are even looking at SA.

As far as BD defending SA and being on friendly terms with him, I'm not crazy about it, but I get it. Not get it in the way of it would be something I would do, but get it in how there are a lot of dysfunctional, messed up people in this world; BD is far from being unique in that area.

About her comments regarding the unnamed someone asking for handouts and blah, blah, blah. I get that, too. IMO, BD is no more involved in Hailey's disappearance than my suspicions of who he who shall not be named is. I have some anger issues, and if I was in a position of being reamed continually while someone else was practically being annoited for sainthood, appropriate or not, I would more than likely have a few things to say about it as well. I can't even say I would be as nice about it as BD was.

There's my :twocents:, make of it what you will. I also want to say I am not nor ever have been a 'ooohh, a mother couldn't do something like that' kind of gal. I pretty much think anyone is capable of anything.

BD obviously knows more than us with respect to a few things. We know that BD went over this with at least PK

So maybe they wanted her to throw things out....on purpose

Maybe they want her to stay "friends" with SA

she may be cleared as doing something to her daughter but I do not see her being cleared for covering up something... or otherwise being UNAWARE..

I also do see that SA is still a suspect in this case yet she is friendly with him.. what is UP WITH THAT... ????

and the timeline she provided... well I hope investigators are pouring over it.. I am sure they are...
