Authorities have confirmed that pieces of clothing were found by volunteers in Howard County. A pair of socks are now in the hands of Colorado City Police. They would not say if the evidence is related to the case.

Wasn't HD supposed to be wearing flip-flops? If so - probably not her socks. Maybe someone stepped in something?

I say WOW! She did an incredible job here. I found her very believable and brave. I am impressed.

I think her tears were real as was her request for everyone to continue looking for a live Hailey.

I feel so badly for Billie. It seems that whatever she does, she gets drug through the mud. This is only my opinion, but I think that one of the reasons she may have held the PC is more for locals then for us living on the outside. I was raised in a very small town and I know how talk can be about certain families. I just can't imagine what it is like for Billie to be putting herself out there, trying to find her daughter, dealing with the stress of everything else in her life, worrying about her son, and then have to deal with people driving by her house being rude. Sooner or later it would get to even the best of us.

And to be honest, we really know basically nothing on what is going on with the LE side of the investigation. They themselves have only released what they want the public to see. While it causes us on the outside to pull our hair in frustration, I can just imagine how it is causing all of Hailey's relatives to feel.

Odd that they didn't get Pete on video saying Billie's been ruled out as a POI. I just really need to see it from another news source, where that news source also claims to have gotten it directly from LE.

I'm with you, BeanE - at this point, after all the conflicting reports & statements, I need to see & hear PK on video (or other LE investigating this case) declaring that investigators directly involved in the disappearance of HD have informed PK that BD has been cleared and is not a POI.

Nevertheless, I will abide by the TOS of WS until such time.

I may be mistaken, but I took it that DD was there with her cell phone, so perhaps he was to use that?

Her daughter is missing and has been for a month..I don't understand how that petty carp even enters her mind at a time like this, much less becomes a priority when she has precious camera time to do what she says she wants to do...FIND HAILEY...I'll never understand that mind set no matter how long I live..

I really do feel so sorry for BD. I don't think she has anything to do w/HD disappearance and she is still wanting ppl to look for her. IMO that is the main reason she does not blame SA completely yet (at leat not to the public) but I bet she lets HIM KNOW how very UPSET she is w/ him in private on the phone convos imo. In my mind if it were me and I let my mind wander to SA haveing harmed my daughter then I would be admitting that THERE IS NO HOPE left for me as she is proably dead and once I lost all hope of my child coming back home and alive I would have to start thinking about the horror, torture, and things I can't comprehend that may or may not have happened to her before she took her last breath..Did she ask for me..was it a slow painful death,,,, was she raped....did she know when she took her last breath how very much her mom and dad LOVED her....NO i could not handle that until I had no other choice...in other words when they bring me her dead body.. Why should she torture herself now and give up hope when there is still a chance she will come back home.. I know that is a long shot but Hope is all she has to hang on to at this time imo. She appears to be someone who is trying to look at the glass half full instead of half empty.....LET HER HAVE THAT HOPE PLEASE!!!!

Lets not nit pic everything she says. Such as the Christmastime blow up vs. BD just saying Christmas and there was no argument. Like her venting her frustration about ppl asking for money in Hally's name and some assuming she is talking about CD. WE don't know that. Maybe it was a little dig but maybe it was a dig at someone else too such as CD's mom's statement (paraphrase) that HD was her son's daughter as well and he could use some support also.. She may have meant just verbal support ..Like we are there for you C. and not money at all...jmo

It just seems to me that BD has been beat down so far that she finally had to vent how she is feeling not that she was accusing CD of doing anything wrong as they both share blame here too. And before someone comes back and says but she was living with BD, Yes she was but it sounds like she may have been told by CD's side that now was not a good time to move in with him because of the plea he put out to her when she first went missing. Paraphrasing again..Hailey just come home you can stay wherever you want. I will have to go back and find the links for these comments as I am just recalling off the top of my head so for now I will say this is IMO.

I still believe in order to find HD we are going to have to look at her friends and what they all liked to do and quit focusing on the inside lives of BD and CD. Someone knows something just like the comments made by one of her 16 y/o gf who had discussed several personal things with her early Dec. ect. Kids talk to thier friends..they will lead us somewhere. all jmo

Why doesn't anyone believe it was HD? Just because the little girl said so. I am not saying that is the case but I would believe an adult before a child who knows she is going to be in big trouble for being out at night and most certainly since the friend she is with is missing.

Depending upon who they were seen with he may have threatened both of them. jmo

LE says they can't corroborate. MOO of possible scenarios of why they can't.

1. Witness recanted.

2. Witness claims to see persons A and B at specific time and date. Person B has evidence, such as receipts of their own, or survellience video, showing them somewhere else at that specific time and date.

3. Person B has witnesses placing them somewhere else at that specific time and date.

If he was molesting her she may have threatened to tell and things escalated.

If he was fixated on her and the stories of her having a new boyfriend were true there may a jealousy issue there.

There was supposedly tension in the house, BD denies a blow up at the house shortly before the dissappearance (Cindy Anthony still says there was no fight before Casey and Caylee left).... it may have just been opportunity presenting itself.

SA has BDs car, he knows she is at work, he knows DD is gone at a friends house, he knows Hailey is sleeping in bed, his new creepy mask has arrived by some accounts, he leaves work and his whereabouts are unknown

Absolutely! No one is ever really cleared for all intents and purposes until after trial and sometimes not even then IMO. Say for instance, SA is arrested and charged in this case. We can't assume until/unless LE says that the evidence shows that he acted alone and that there won't be other arrests. He could even go to trial before he started talking..IF he were guilty and IF he had help...just all would depend on what LE has or will have.< MOO

Ok, I will admit right now... I am a fence sitter lol :fence: That comment is kind of weird, isn't it? they don't care what SA knows that they know, but they do care if 'unnamed POI's' know? I know a lot of you on here believe that BD threw out this 'other POI' the last few days to try and deflect from SA, however; it's been said that she was asked not to talk about it today (which I believe she was told this, since it wasn't mentioned), and then the comment above? Any one think that their actually might be something valid with this unnamed POI?

Yeah, I do.
I've always thought that SA looks like a good suspect, but that's as far as it goes. He could just be incredibly unlucky and someone else is getting away with taking Hailey.

I think she was believable -- for what she believed to be true.

I'll draw an analogy: my dad left my mom many times for the same woman. My mom was in pain and sad, cried alot. But she would defend him over and over: "But you know, (the woman) was after him - she kept calling", "It was some medication he was taking - he couldn't help it", "I think he's sad and depressed, we need to be nice to him", "He would have stayed that other time if (all us kids) would have been there for his birthday", "If I take up his hobbies, then he won't be lonely - it's my fault b/c I wouldn't play golf with him", etc. She placed the blame everywhere but where blame was due: with my dad.

And that's what I see here with BD. Yes, she's hurting. Yes, she believes what she is saying. But she can't bear to point the finger at the most likely suspect.

Everything we are hearing is following the line that LE made public. I just want to keep in mind the things we do not hear about. These folks have lived in this neighborhood for years. More than likely most of them know each other and the skeletons that are in their neighbors and their families closets. We don't hear about those things.
The neighborhood residents probably know whose related to the SO's, who has criminal records, whose a little weird, etc. around the area. We don't know that information.
I am sure that LE had alot of people to look at and may consider some POI's.
