I disagree. I think a lawyer would not want his client talking even an innocent. I think Shawn is shady but have no idea if he is guilty of anything other than being shady. jmo

I wonder what the statistics are of a perp being the last person to see a victim? :waitasec:

Because of the above, and because of what I've read in the LE records, he's my prime suspect.

Halp..........who has the exact address for SA's work place? Yes, I know we have been over this 6786950403 times, but humor me. That and er, the cat, yeah, that's the ticket - the cat lost my links when he walked across the keyboard and deleted them.........

ETA: OK, I'm mistruthifacatin' on it being the cat, but still...HALP, please???????????????????

LE and the Texas Rangers have searched the home twice.
http://www.ktxs.com/news/26377567/detail.html
UPDATED: 2:59 pm CST January 5, 2011

Officials also confirmed that Hailey’s home was searched Wednesday for any clues that may have been missed earlier.
The search was conducted by the Texas Rangers, who looked through the home then spent 10 minutes in an outdoor storage shed.

I know that officials confirmed that Hailey's home was searched but I have not heard if luminol was used to check for blood. I hope it has been used, but as of right now, I have only heard that the home was searched. I'm also hoping that the couch was tested with luminol and REALLY inspected for blood and other body fluids.

I find it hard to believe that a lawyer would not allow his client to attend questioning, with lawyer present, if the client so wished, knowing that the lawyer can shut down the interview at any time. I feel sure that innocent people have cooperated with police before, even if they had an attorney or were considered a POI.

You're right. People with attorneys do talk with LE. An example would be in Gabe Johnson's case, where his mother talked with LE on a number of occasions, after she retained counsel.

With Shawn, Billie has said twice that I recall that he's talked to LE since he lawyered up.

Shawn could be lying, but I'd imagine (hope) Billie checked with LE on whether he really had.

Or Billie could be lying, and just saying he's talked to LE when he hasn't.

Or it could be that people are just misunderstanding what Billie was saying when she said Shawn had talked to LE, and she meant something else.

Who knows?

True, but there is a big difference between accepting what SA tells her and what DD tells her. One is her son and is not under any suspicion. The other is a prime suspect, has failed and walked out of multiple polygraphs, told stories which conflict with known facts, and has an obsession with serial killers and death masks. BIG DIFFERENCE between the two.

By taking SA at his word and putting it in the timeline, she is signalling that she supports him and believes in him still. IMO
I disagree. What Shawn has told her, he told her. That's just the way it is. I don't believe in polygraphs the way many do here. I am not sure if my child went missing if I would even take one. jmo

Of course he is...but he isn't doing it. Says a lot to me.

If he is innocent OR guilty the smartest thing he can do is FOLLOW the advice of his lawyer.

As I read these timeline critiques I try to keep in mind that the stuff about what Shawn did/went is what he has told Billie and she is relaying to us. She has no first hand knowledge of most of it as she was at work.

But she is only relaying what he has told her. IMO

I agree katiemadonna. And personally don't believe Billie is directly involved with Hailey's disappearance.
That said it makes it all the more confusing, perplexing, and UNexplainable that she puts so much weight into those statements. Enough to put in a timeline and publicize that timeline as well as contradict LE with the statements&version of events.

He should be the prime suspect just because he is the last one to see Hailey.
But as a mother, until my child was found and/or the prime suspect was arrested, I'd be doing all I can to get every single avenue investigated.

Honestly, if I even got a whiff of another suspect or POI, I'd be leaking names.
And I know it sounds horrible, but I wouldn't care what innocent person I dragged into this mess as long as my daughter was still missing and I thought there was the slightest chance that that someone knew something about her disappearance.

I think there is a bloody crime scene somewhere---but not @ Chestnut St or at mama's or grama's. There is reportedly a lot of land owned by SA's family throughout the area, hunting land. And there is also at least one abandoned home owned by his family. I HOPE those places, and any wells and cellars have been looked at already.

I agree about the land and have a gazillion addresses by his family catalogued on my computer from ancestry.com - and almost his entire family tree - :crosseyed:

And at first I was convinced about the bloody scene (MM mask, etc) --- but now I'm not so sure. I do think her body may be at one of those 'family' locations, though. Or in a body of water somewhere...

I don't know why I've had this change of heart about the whole MM scene/fantasy. But for some reason I'm thinking now that it was nothing that "bizarre". For one, the more I read about SA, the less I think he could have pulled it off.

I could be wrong. But I do believe he did it, whatever "it" was.

BBM and maybe just maybe she's right in her beliefs

She could be. But I think she might be putting her feelings for him over good plain common sense. She admits he angrily threatened to kill her at least once, and she was worried enough to call 911 multiple times. And still she moved him in.

His story on the day that HD disappeared is convoluted and he lied to her about it for a few days. But she just ignores that now and moves on and accepts his new story as factual. I am going to look at the timeline sideways until we have more factual confirmation.

So now that some time has passed since the discovery of all the MM stuff and the reading material that was found by LE at the home, I'm curious who still thinks there was some sort of MM fantasy or copy-cat crime carried out here? (I personally am starting to lean away from this...).

Click 'thanks' if you still think that.

I guess my problem is that Billie's PC seemed (to me) to just make things better for SA and to refute things she didn't like that had come up during the investigation.

I have too high of a standard for moms missing their kids, I guess, as Desiree Young is my hero. I cannot imgaine any situation where she would worry about the alibi of the main POI, even if it were her husband. Also, Amber DuBois' mom.

PS/OT-Skelton boys. Press Conference: It is officially a murder investigation, and JK is the main suspect...:(
