After telling Clint how worried I was, I told him I was going to get a ride home and report Hailey missing to police. I asked him to call the P.D. and let them know that I was coming. He agreed to make the call, but for some reason he never did.

My sister-in-law gave me a ride home from Snyder to Colorado City.

I stopped at the house first to make sure Hailey hadn’t come back home, grabbed my cell phone, started texting Hailey’s friends, while my sister-in-law took me around to a couple of their houses before going to the police station.

-------------------------------

Why did she tell Clint to call the PD and tell them she was coming, when she... wasn't?

She went home to check and see if Hailey was there. Then she went around to several kids' houses.

And she wonders why he didn't call and tell them she was coming? She wasn't!!

Just have to say that I LOVE your story about GOOD PARENTING. It wasn't always EASY, was it? Lol Brings back memories of my own. :) (parenting, of course)

No, it certainly wasn't. But one thing I would say to those with younger kids--tell them you are not 'checking up'---you are 'checking in'. My DD is 18 now, and she actually appreciates that we tried to keep an eye on her. One of her friends had parents who never ever 'checked in' with their daughter. And she felt unloved, not 'lucky' at all. My daughter used to say that if anything ever happened to this friend, NOBODY would know for days. If she didnt call home, even until morning, her folks never bothered to call her. They just figured she was spending the night 'somewhere.' It was sad. So hold your ground and check their whereabouts, and know that someday they will appreciate it too.

And then we have this:

GRACE: When did you first learn she was missing?

CLINT DUNN: I seen her the day before. Later on that night, D came over -- my son came over and asked me...

BILLIE DUNN: Tuesday.

CLINT DUNN: ... or Tuesday, he came over asking me if I had seen her, if she`d came over that day. And I hadn`t.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1101/04/ng.01.html

And from yesterday:

http://media.reporternews.com/media/static/Billie_Dunn_Timeline.pdf

12:00pm: BD calls DD, who is at home. DD tells her that HD is not back yet, so BD tells him to text her friend and have HD come home. The friend says HD did not come over. DD calls BD back and relays this information. BD has him go to CD's house to see if HD was there. NS tells DD that HD did come over on Monday, but did not stay there. BD talks to CD, and tells him that she is leaving work to come to Colorado City and report HD missing.

She also says in her statement:

"After telling CD how worried I was, I told him I was going to get a ride home and report HD missing to the police. I asked him to call the PD and let them know I was coming. He agreed to make the call but for some reason he never did".

So, according to BD's timeline, night (when CD said he found out she was missing) is now a little after noon, and NS saw her for a "minute" and CD didn't call LE like he said he would.

Both these stories can't be true. So, which is it?

CLINT said night, not Billie. DD and BD have both said that DD went to his dad's (Clint) around noonish. Clint is saying NIGHT, not Billie. Clint is also saying (in the above NG snip) that he saw his daughter on Monday!

This window that was broken, was it in the living room?

When did DD say noonish? And I think if you go and read the rest of the transcript, he says he did not see her Monday. He saw her Sunday. And yes, BD and CD are saying different things, that WAS my point.

I hear her saying she was going to some checking first and then report her missing. In my opionion she was going to the police and report her missing which she apparently did.

MOO, I think some of the witness sitings are wrong. I think they just got their days mixed up. Probably saw her a day before and really in their head thinks it was the day in question. This would explain the timeline so confusing.

Kempfer finally did state that BD is not a person of interest!

Living room, coveralls, broken window, couches, somebody didn't get what they wanted for Christmas (IMO, I think this because she mentioned they "pretty much" got exactly what they asked for)....what else sticks out to ya'll? Oh, trip by GM's.

Oh, that sounds a little scary when you put it that way

I was doing some deep thinking about this whole mess while ago.
You want to hold onto hope but following these cases so long you know the happy endings are rare. I think that something bad has happened to Hailey and I hope Im wrong. And if it has I do feel really bad for Billie. I wouldnt wish any parent that had no involvement to have to go thru something like that.
BD loyalty to SA disturbs me alot. Maybe its harmless she just may be so love struck and gullible that she doesnt see thru him. If thats the case, I feel bad for her again because Im afraid she is going to end up like GA & CA where she is going to have to choose Hailey or SA. If it comes to that I hope she makes the right decision. :(

Maybe why Billie does the Interveiws?

Maybe clint was not supposed to say he saw Hailey Monday?

LE wants that quiet?

He was mixing up the days...like we all have occasionally....

GRACE: OK.

CLINT DUNN: So it was the next day.

GRACE: Let me think just a moment. You told me you saw her the day before?

CLINT DUNN: Yes. She spent the night with me Christmas night.

GRACE: So Saturday night, she spent the night with you?

CLINT DUNN: Yes. And Sunday, she was there at the house with me.

The confusion comes because she went missing Monday, but was not reported until Tuesday.............

On the call from SA telling her BD had gone to spend the night, didn't BD say on one of the first NG's that he told her when they got home?

I remember hearing that again when I was listening to NG clips the other night..Gave me a migraine though, I can't do that again tonight. Besides, I ain't planning on budging from here for a little while..:innocent:..how 'bout you?
